Dick’s Sporting Goods

You probably won’t believe this, but I ordered a nice pair of Ecco golf shoes from Dick’s and they shipped me TWO LEFT SHOES!!! And if you know shoes as well as I. Ecco shoes are not cheap. Even more expensive when they are golf shoes!
I then called customer service who promised to get the right pair out with free overnight shipping. I called the following day to try and get a confirmation on my order, and they said «sorry can’t do» and that was it. No attempt at making up for their error, not sympathy, no effort. I’m really disappointed by their «Excellent Customer Service». and WORSE!!! I WORK CUSTOMER SERVICE!
ANYTHING would have been better than NOTHING. I mean even just hey I’ll ship out another pair and we’ll charge your card again, but I’ll waive the overnight shipping and include a $ 20 store credit.
But instead I got a «well I can try and waive the overnight charge» … and «Well I’d have to place the order again …» All it was was lip service, and none of the associates knew how to handle the situation. But best of it all. I had gotten the display model, which means that someone had to walk to the wall, take the shoe off the wall, and put it in the box. How come they didn’t check the sizes or even check that they had grabbed the WRONG shoe? There were plenty of abilities to double check, and surely Ecco did not sell them two left shoes.
Now I have to tell my disappointed boyfriend that he won’t get a birthday present in time. and not to mention, try and find the shoes somewhere else.

If you’re looking to buy someone a Dick’s Sporting Goods gift card online and you need it in less than 2 weeks, don’t do it. Go online instead to a bank and buy a Visa or MasterCard gift card. I called Dick’s and was told online gift card orders usually go out the same day, but by the next day at the latest. I questioned whether I could have it sent to a PO Box and was told yes, Dick’s uses USPS Priority. When I asked what the chances would be to receive the card within a week, the rep said 100%. I ordered the card directly from the website on a Tuesday in order to receive it no later than the following Wednesday (8 days). Well, it’s been 9 days now and still no card. I have to now stop and buy a bank card on my way to meet the recipient. Instead of using USPS Priority Mail, my card was sent UPS and tracking shows it still in transit. Since the USPS doesn’t accept deliveries from UPS, I expect it’s slowly making its way back to Dick’s. If a website states a particular carrier will be used, it should be.

I was shopping during this busy Christmas season on friday. I was helped by one of the most delightful, thoughtful people I have ever encountered. Her name was Kim, she works at the New hartford, Ny, Dicks. This person went way above and beyond to make sure my wifes’ gift was just perfect for her. WOW what a sales person. Thanks Kim and cudos to Dicks for hving the sense toemply such a person.

Dick’s Sporting goods has long been known to focus on the spirit of competition as well as customer satisfaction and constant dedication to improvement in all sports equipment retailed. In no way shape or form do they ever represent their Corporate Headquarters food court which is where I come in…
Like Tom Cruise minus the height challenges… I took on my own little mission impossible. I broke in (Minus the breaking in part) to Dicks to try out their exclusive employee eating area. And let. me. tell. you. it was pretty sweet.
The food was great. It was everything you’d expect in terms of healthy options. From wraps, to salads, to tacos and burgers. it really has everything you would ever want for those with taste buds. The inside was more like a mini mall in their giant cafeteria which I assume is a wonderful benefit for those who work there.
The pricing was fair and decent as one would expect since I would assume the majority of workers choose to eat there on a daily basis.
They have a restaurant which branches off of the cafeteria which I have yet to try but it looks rather interesting. All in all Dick’s Sporting Goods seems to treat their employees fair when it comes to nourishment which is nice to see.
If you ever find yourself employed at the corporate office or illegally breaking in, make sure to check out the cafeteria there, it’s worth a stop.
