The Burger Shack

Been coming here for years. Always as good as day one. My boyfriend and I had our second date here as well as many after that so it always brings back good memories as that was almost four years ago. You never disappoint shack!

We have come here from time to time for burgers when we want something other than a fast food burger. The burgers and combinations are great. The only disappointment is the inconsistency of the burger… medium rare/​well. Sometimes it’s perfectly cooked and other times it’s over cooked. The other day I tried the wings (teriyaki) for the first time and they were amazing! Will definitely be back for those.

The burger were really good! Would go back. Fries and onion rings where good too. Staff was very friendly. Great place!!!

Pretty good. Acceptable in the sea of «gourmet» burger places popping up.

The food here is very good! The burgers are delicious and the rolls are not soggy. French fries are crisp and yummy! The food always comes out how you order it, as I haven’t been disappointed yet. The serving sizes are generous. If you want a burger, want to stay local and don’t want to break the bank, come here!

The wings are phenomenal. However a little pricey. I’d say it’s worth it though if your looking for quality. As far as the quantity goes. They’ve got your covered. Check pleAse

The Burger Shack in Coram, NY is awesome! Burgers and fries taste great, theres good service, and nice seating areas. Prices are good, an 8oz burger was about $ 7.99. They offered us Fries and a drink with our food, but didn’t mention the prices of those items… so we thought it was included, they were only an additional few bucks. Overall, very nice experience, and we will be coming back again.

Ordered the Cali burger. My wife got the Veggie burger. Place was busy and the people behind the counter were pleasant. The Shack Sauce had a nice taste, and they bring the burgers out to you so you don’t have to stand and wait. I’ll definitely return.

Love this place. Great burgers and great service. My only complaint it its not closer to my home!

I forget what it’s called but the burger with the pepper jack cheese and avacado is delish and the PB&j shake is another must have. Service is great. People are friendly. I’m diggin it.

Excellent food and service. Used the Unilocal app for $ 15 for $ 30 purchase. Food was prepared in less than 15 minutes. Our burgers were very tasty, the wings were meaty and flavorful and the peanut butter cup shake was awesome. All around a great experience with a friendly clean atmosphere.

Great for burgers and Cajun fries, a little pricey for what it is. Chicken sandwich isn’t that great but it is called «Burger Shack» for a reason.

The Burger Shack is my FAVORITE place to eat and it’s because of the wings. In fact, this place could be a renovated outhouse and I’d still eat here, it’s that good!
Chicken wings are my eating specialty and these guys deliver a consistenly flavorful wing that outcompetes Buffalo Wild Wings, Hurricane Grill, and Applebees as well as every other pub, chain, or fancy restaurant I’ve ever frequented. The wings are plump and moist with a candy-​like crunch on the outside. The mild and orange-​ginger wings are my go-​to flavors, and unlike some places where the sauce is watery or bland, these flavors stick to the wing like glue and push your taste buds to the limit. The wings are the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
The Burger Shack has a humble yet pleasant summery atmosphere. It definitely qualifies as a «greasy spoon.» Orders are placed at the counter and food is brought to your table in a timely manner. Prices are competitive but not too painful.
The downtrodden location and the fact that it’s set back from the road is what keeps this place from becoming insanely popular, but maybe that’s a good thing for me:)

I was extremely disappointed in my self for not discovering Burger Shack earlier in the years. This little burger joint is the talk of the town and it serves burgers that has quiet some flavor to it. The restaurant has a cozy feeling, the cashiers are extremely friendly. They have many burgers to choose from. When i go to a burger spot, i like to try the most plain burger so i can taste the flavor in the meat, and i must tell you their meat is full of flavor cooked to perfection and very juicy. It’s very clean friendly and cheap basically what anyone would look for in a local burger spot. If your brave enough they have contest to try their signature giant burger if you win its on the house and they put your picture up on a wall.

Burgers were delicious and very inventive. Order the 8oz though the 4 oz leave you wanting more. The shakes are pretty yummy too!
Not very expensive either!

Not overly impressed, partly because I don’t know how to impartially judge a burger that’s not only something you can do better on yourself, but also nothing like a real homemade medium rare, well seasoned, juicy and thick burger.
I feel at this place you pay way too much to be so. Underwhelmed. The guy’s nice, he really wants you to like his food, but I have a feeling he just despises anyone who has their own opinions.
I remember he tried promising free burgers for votes in the burger battle down in patchogue… I guess pera bell did the same thing because they won (& I guess patchogue had their back). Neither spot had the best burger either year in my opinion.
If I want this style burger, they are a dime a dozen in the surrounding areas so I wouldn’t go out of my way, I was super disappointed by the corned beef burger around Saint pattys but if I was driving by and hungry, I’d consider the spot, but pulling in is sorta doubtful.
I encourage you to go though and try it for yourself, see how you feel.
Service is fine for what it is, food too, nothing here is exceptional by any means.
Oh and I do enjoy some of the boneless wings. (My friends think it’s weird chicken, I see their side of it, but close my eyes and disagree)

Awesome burgers shakes and wings!
I had the mushroom burger. The buns are great! So soft, perfectly toasted; as small as that was, I’d probably come back just for the buns. The onion rings were just okay – not hot enough in my opinion. The fries were really good. I didn’t order them, my bf did but I couldn’t keep my hands out of his plate. He also had a chocolate shake which which he said was pretty good.
but the wings stole the show. They were crispy and the mild sauce that we order them with tasted like a mix between honey BBQ and regular hot wings.
The tables were a little dirty; they could’ve used a wipe down. The staff were a little chatty but it wasn’t a huge deal. We felt that it was a cute spot to go to. It was a little pricy but we had a $ 15 for $ 30 deal through Unilocal so that came in handy.
Overall, I would eat here again.
