I thought they had nice stuff here, but the staff didn’t seem that eager to help me. I asked about a rug, and they told me that it was a «very very nice» rug and cost something like $ 800 for the size I needed. Rugs usually are expensive and the quality is proportionate to what you pay for it, so a $ 8008×10 rug is nice, but not super nice or anything. But then I admired another rug and he told me, oh you can get something that looks similar at Pier One. So honestly, maybe I’m overreacting, but I got the impression he didn’t think I could afford his stuff. I feel this a lot in Iowa City. Maybe because I’m a small Asian girl that dresses casually? Note to Luxe Zone: some of us are employed and can afford to buy furniture! It’s really frustrating because I want to shop locally.
