besides the university running club, this may be the only spot in town that allows the people to get together for a Sunday morning run. People park & get together in front of Running Wild, and you can leave your keys inside the store so you don’t have to carry them with you. Runs start at 7am +/-a few minutes and occurs on Sundays, but do check because there isn’t a run every Sunday depending on holidays and local races. they’ve got 3 or 4 course that get rotated, each course can be up to about 16 miles if you decide to go all the way. i love the north course that gets you through the mall, through N. Lib & to the lake. while it doesn’t have enough people to get to a point where organized pace groups can take place, most people run at their own pace and usually people find others that go at a similar pace. since you can turn around anytime you want, it’s not like you should be intimidated by your skill level or pace… they welcome everyone! i’ve only just started, met some really nice people. oh, there are water stations that they set up at 2 mile markers, and when you make it back to the store, they’ve got great bagels, PB, OJ and bananas.
