Simpson Furniture Company

Wandered in for their Memorial Day sale and ended up finding a couple chairs I liked and a couple unique /​modern couches I wanted to return for in the future.
Holey moley though, you’d think I accidentally walked onto a car dealership. I spoke with two guys who were both very wishy-​washy in their pricing. There was a good selection and I liked that the place is locally-​owned, but I was ultimately driven away by the overly sales-​y floor staff.

I was pleasantly surprised by this store. It happened to be my last stop of 5 furniture stores to buy a new mattress. They had a nice selection and great prices. I would recommend this store!

We were suckered in by the «restructuring sale» and coupon discount sent to us by Simpson furniture. First we decided to look for a new dinning set. We found one that we really liked and we then starting looking at living room furniture. We were helped by Jennifer who was absolutely fantastic! She was fairly knowledgeable, would find the answer if she didn’t know and had valuable, helpful opinions. We worked with her over the course of a week, making several trips into the store. We bought a small sectional and two chairs for our living room. We did end up buying based on photos because they didn’t have exactly what we wanted in store. That was a bit risky but everything came today and it’s perfect! The delivery guys were very friendly, efficient, and considerate. The one negative I will note is that it wasn’t until we got to the desk to write up the order the financing was made clear. There was money required down and a fee was charged for interest free financing. It was not the typical no fees and no interest financing with payments like other places offer. In the end it was fine but this would’ve been a five star situation had it not been for the financing.
Bottom line: go see Jennifer at Simpson Furniture in Coralville!
