Great food, wonderful service while having dinner at the bar. Ordered from the restaurant next door and had a memorable experience.

I’ve been going to Flannigan’s since I was a child which has been about 15 years. I will say this, I do still love the set up and layout of the bar but the quality of the food and service has really fallen apart. I remember back in the day it use to be some of the best food and specials around and now every time I take my wife of 1 year there it is empty and the food/​service is bad. I keep giving it yet another chance hoping it gets better but I’ve been disappointed time after time. My family use to have to put reservations in on every Saturday night but now you can pick about any spot/​table in the entire place. The only thing saving this place (I hope) is the new patio that Iowa River Power built for this summer over looking the river. Cant wait to enjoy that. Hopefully Flannigan’s gets things figure out before this summer!!!

WOW! Great place, and IT has been for YEARS! Tucked inside the ever popular Iowa River Power Restaurant, Flannigan’s is a great Sport’s Bar/​Restaurant. TVs everywhere, bar tables, booths, the ‘back upper deck’ with round tables and booths. FREE popcorn, TONS of fun/​old signs with good natured slogans… The beer is COLD, it is NOT over priced, and the service is good and friendly. Make sure you have a taco salad, or better yet, a pork tenderloin. HOPE you can eat it all! The REUBEN is BIG and GOOD! Music is not in your face, and the lighting is not too bright and not too dark! You will be in the old hydro electric plant that made ‘power’ for Coralville and Iowa City until 1970. Take a look at the water going over the dam as you walk in the door. Great place, good food, cold beer. Families go there too!, but don’t sit next to me with a bunch of little squirming kids!
