First time coming here. Won a gift card for this place so decided to finally use it. Location is off the main highway but there are plenty of signs to get you here. Beautiful restaurant, very woodsy. Choice of seating in tap room or upper level. The upper level feels more like a pizza joint and very laid back. Anthony our waiter was very attentive and kept trying to refill my drink. Food amazing. Got fried pepperoni rolls which were four egg roll looking apps. Totally rocked! I love ranch dressing and their ranch tastes homemade. Buffalo chicken pizza was very good. Lots of chicken and hot sauce. The crust was a bit thinner then I like but my husband said it was perfect. Will definitely eat here or get take out from here again!

Prices are just too high. Food not impressive. They even try to copy the great Carlino burger, made famous up in Punxsy by Nick — rest his soul.(ground hamburger meat, pickles on hotdog bun). So they get NOCREDIT for that idea.

I had heard somewhere about awesome pizza at Whitey’s and I finally had a chance to go there. First of all, it’s a bar — and they try to blend a bar atmosphere with fine dining. it was a very awkward experience. That combination just does not work. only once have I seen that hybrid thrive and that was the Odeon in Vandergrift Pa. Anyway, a waiter arrives in a waiters jacket/shirt and starts talking. the problem is, he wouldn’t quit talking. Even my 88 yo Dad said something like«ok get on with it, I’m hungry!» So I decided to try a slice of pizza to sample it. Way way overrated! Average at best. Bland sauce, low quality pepperoni(I ate a piece alone to check it out), but the«crust» is what really blew was soft crust, slightly underbaked and very bland. Worst of all, it had a very pronounced taste of bleached white flour. that’s all it tasted like. oh for !!! Then came my fish sandwich(minus the pickles I had asked for). The waiter, you know the kind-the overly attentive, overcaring, almost meddling– who was actually standing right at the table watching us eat, asked me if I was enjoying my fish sandwich. I couldn’t help it. I told him he asks too many questions. I asked him if the fish was fresh or frozen.(I’m used to eating the fresh monstrous pile of cod on a bun served by the Bonfire Restaurant in Leechburg Pa.) He gave me double-talk about where they buy their fish and how reputable the company is, blah blah. I asked again. «Fresh or frozen? Reluctantly he said«frozen», while turning his head. The spicy batter fries were real good. My brother said the Philly Cheesesteak was very good. I tasted the steak– more like roast beef. I knew better than to try the Philly Cheese. I lived in Philly for 13 years and even made cheesesteak at a corner café/deli. Dad said his sloppy Joe style hamburger sandwiches were good. served in small hot dog buns, sort of long sliders. All in all, I guess 2 ½ stars. I felt very uncomfortable there. so did my Dad, who is not shy about letting his opinions show!

I’ve wanted to stop here for a few years now and finally had the chance — well, I had the chance to pick up some food on my way past. I researched online, and using Unilocal and it was super annoying to find what was on their menu. I settled on a pizza, but when I called the prices were double what I had found during my research! $ 40 for a party-pizza, no thank you. I ordered a large one topping pizza and made it out for under $ 20. I called ahead, so I simply followed the signs from 119 to Whiteys and picked up my pizza at the bar. I was impressed at the inside and the patio area, they had some great specials listed on a board inside(wish I knew about those when I called) so maybe I’ll be back. The pizza was good — not amazing, I-need-to-go-back-immediately, but if I’m hungry & in the area, I’ll give it a second chance.

We love coming to Whitey’s. It’s such a gem, hidden away in Coral, of all places. The food is always excellent, and the service is wonderful. Tonight, we had two exceptional servers, Renee and Anthony. The were so nice and very attentive. This restaurant is located right along the Hoodlebug trail, so it would be a great place to stop while on a walk or bike ride. The outside area is lovely, and they usually have bands outside on Saturdays. Although it can sometimes be a little pricey, I very highly recommend Whitey’s Peetza and Eatery!

First time visiting whitey’s… Food was okay but not going to be memorable. What I will remember is that we had a bad experience because even though the food was not the best all you tasted was cigar and cigarette smoke in your mouth. Sitting outside on a nice summer evening on the back deck area(which is very nice) while people sat and smoked. I understand we are outside and idea for future endeavors might be to have a place aside from were people are trying to enjoy a nice meal. To make the situation worst, a member of our party had to leave her meal because of the smoke!

Sicilian slices were very good. Spaghetti, salad and lasagna were all good as well. Prices are a bit high, but food seemed fresh and was tasty. Nice place on the inside, friendly atmosphere.

Nice place for this area but steer clear if you have any special dietary needs. While they advertise their gluten free pizza on their billboards & do in fact have it, what they don’t tell you(on the billboard or menu) is what it will cost you. I am used to a $ 2 – 3 up charge for GF options, and assumed.(Very wrongly) that this would be similar when I ordered a GF pizza to go. Their one size GF pizza was over 2x the price of the regular version. 1 woodchuck cider, small wing order, whitey hot dog and 1 medium GF Greek pizza … Wait for it …$ 49 and change. The pizza was over $ 27. I’ve heard from others in the area that the non-dairy cheese options are similar heists. And, while I didn’t order one for obvious reasons, their ‘martini list’ featured $ 12+ martinis featuring not-12-dollar basic house spirits.

Had pizza by the slice. Food was wonderful! There were three different options for pizza, I order two slices(plain and buffalo). Both were delicious. The crust had a great taste and the sauce wasn’t too bland or too sweet. Besides really tasty food — there was another pleasantry here: the service. The staff was extremely friendly from the minute I walked in the door. You can see that they work as a team throughout the entire restaurant. Which meant that’s drink was never empty, and I was attended to. Overall, you never know what kind of experience to expect at a «pizza place», but Whiteys what a step above and beyond! Can’t wait to come back.

Came here with my in-laws, who live in Indiana. I never knew this place existed, though, it has only been 3 years. Had it been open during my stint at iUP I would have been a regular. What a cute, fun place, tucked away(kind of) in the middle of nowhere! First, I ordered the Blairsville blush(wine), mostly because I love sweet wine and I thought that was my best option. I didn’t expect much from the great and famous vineyards of Blairsville… but wow wow wow. Where can I buy 10 more bottles? So good! We ordered(I forget the real name) a fried appetizer that consisted of cheese logs, onion rings, and chicken tenders. The mozzarella logs were meh, though the rest of my table loved them. I wasn’t a fan of the breading. The onion rings were pretty good. The chicken was chicken. Moist, but nothing special. We also got the Cajun wings. They were quite good! I have to agree with Paul A. regarding his review of the wings. For my entrée I got a buffalo chicken Pittsburgh salad. I am a firm believer that the fries make or break a Pittsburgh salad, and this salad was fantastic! I mean there isn’t much to say about a salad, but the ranch was good, the chicken was good, the buffalo flavor was good, and the fries were great! Can’t wait to return!

I am Italian-American, my wife is the real McCoy. — Italian born and bred! We LOVE Whitey’s. While we stick to the more traditional pizzas, they offer a wide array of toppings. What’s truly amazing about their pizza is the crust. It’s perfect, if you are looking for the type of pizza served in Naples. The sauce is wonderful, too, and the mozzarella is what you have to expect if you don’t have Neapolitan Buffala cows to make real mozzarella. Having grown up between Buffalo, NY, I am very choosy about wings. I am wild about their awesome wings. They rival the Anchor Inn(if you come from Buffalo, you know what a complement that is!). I would stay away from their hottest sauce if you are a traditionalist. They use habaneros, which though VERY hot, have a taste that does not marry well with chicken, IMHO. The wings are really meaty and Cooke perfectly. They have great salads, if you are looking for lighter fare. They offer a good selection of beer and have a bar(that’s a sight to be seen). There is outdoor eating which is a welcome change from many of the restaurants around here. This place is worth the trip. Indiana should create a bus service for those unfortunate enough not to have a car to take you to Whitey’s.
