Salon Utopia

About a year and a half I moved to the area not knowing anyone and when it came time to getting my hair done I googled salons nearest me. I lucked out and ended up with an amazing and awesome hair stylist, Kelly. She does such a great job and is very helpful when you feel like mixing it but are unsure exactly what you want to do. I get the whole nine yards: cuts, highlights and touch ups. Definitely recommend this salon and my stylist.

Tried this salon for the first time today. As soon as I walked in I knew I would love it! The décor is stunning and welcoming. Love that it’s an Aveda salon. The staff all seemed friendly and sweet. I brought in a picture I saw off instagram of a new du and gave it to Lindsay who exceeded my expectations by far. For years I’ve been trying to find a stylist who produces exactly what I want and she didn’t disappoint. Not only did she give me an awesome cut but took time to give me pointers on how to style my new bob. This will 100% without a doubt be my go to salon. Thank you Lindsay!

I tried Salon Utopia yesterday for the first time and had Lindsay V. cut the long layers back in my hair. It was a mess! I am extremely meticulous. Lindsay was the best hairdresser I ever had. She listened to my every concern. Did exactly what I wanted, walked through every step of the way with me before cutting and my hair turned out perfect. She is a genius! Love her!

I recently stopped by this salon to get my hair cut.
I hadn’t gotten it cut in at least 8 months or so so it was pretty long when I came in.
I knew I wanted to choose an Aveda concepts salon because their products are AMAZING (and they smell good too) and their staff is always friendly and welcoming so I figured this would be the case for this salon.
They definitely didn’t disappoint.
The atmosphere was very ZEN and welcoming… (not so much with the chairs, they seemed to have had no cushion but that’s ok because my hair stylist and hostess made up for that). As usual they offered tea or water upon arrival which I politely declined, not because I wasn’t thirsty but more so because I was chewing gum, I eventually did try their Aveda tea which was pretty good, could’ve used a touch of honey but that’s just me.
In no time at all I met my hair stylist who I can’t remember the name of for the life of me but was very friendly and welcoming. I told her exactly what I was looking for in a cut as well as stated that I was open for suggestions.
Needless to say I was very happy with my haircut and the loss of all my split ends! Despite me being the last client of the day she was still very enthusiastic about her work and very talkative, which was fine with me. The only thing missing was their hand massages! All of the other Aveda salons I’ve ever been too offered complimentary hand massages at some point during the appointment, usually when the hair washing is being done. That probably didn’t happen because again it was the end of the day and she was probably exhausted but that would’ve been nice.
All in all my experience here was great and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area :)

I have been looking for someone to do my hair for 10 years, finally I found Sam at this salon. She may be fresh out of beauty school but my hair has never looked better! From color to cuts to blowouts she is amazing I couldn’t be happier.

Had been looking for a new hair guru since moving to Parkland 2 years ago! Took a chance after reading good reviews about Salon Utopia. Skeptical at first as it’s tucked away in a soso strip center, but wow… immediately upon walking in, it had that familiar Aveda aroma (fantastic). It was small and very clean. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the very warm and friendly receptionist and a minute later introduced to my stylist Tracie who I immediately felt comfortable with. She explained everything she was doing and asked a lot of questions to make sure what I wanted would be accomplished. She had suggestions but was not pushy. She was funny and easy to talk to. My color and cut /​style was beyond my expectations. I got so many compliments that day (even from other stylists working at the salon as I was leaving which was nice)!! There is a close knit feel here as I believe many of the stylists have worked together for years. Not uppity or pretentious at all which I loved! I’ve definitely found my new stylist and my new salon! Highly recommend!
