My favorite go to place for sushi. I only give 4 stars because I think the place can use some updating. Very nice employees… and the rolls are huge! I can never finish all my good and I save some for later or share it with my husband. I’ve been going here for about three years now so this review is late but I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Delicious food!

I was looking forward to eating here until I tried it. Sushi was soggy, service was terrible, and this place needs major cleaning. I never knew someone could make bad sushi until I came here and I usually eat out everyday. Don’t waste your money, there are better sushi places for the same price, better quality, and service. Truly was a disappointment but at least now I know not to go there with my experience. We had to throw it away unfortunately and I hate wasting food, didn’t want to take a health risk.

I’ll give two stars due to the portion size, however, when you decide not to finish bc of the fishy smell on the tuna, portion size really is irrelevant. Place is not clean, it’s hot, and after being scalded by the lady for wanting to use debit bc apparently my order was $.50 shy of the $ 10 minimum purchase! I get so tired of businesses giving attitudes for debit cards, hello people it’s 2016 and a lot of us don’t use cash! If you don’t like the percent you pay the add it in your price, don’t take plastic, or get out of business. The sushi here really wasn’t worth dealing with the poor customer service or having to overcome the less than satisfactory cleanliness. Should have gone to Chopsticks Aisian Restaurant where i know it’s good, I was driving by here which is why I stopped.

(3.5 stars) I’m still on the fence about Kirin. I’m not sure if I was expecting more of a dining experience from a mainly«take-out» restaurant but I was hoping for a little something more than what I got. When I walked in on a Friday afternoon for lunch I didn’t call ahead to order. The one gentleman that was behind the sushi counter welcomed me as I looked over the menu. I wasn’t sure if I was waiting for someone else to take my order or if I should give it to him. I asked him what he recommend and after he made a few suggestions I decided on the Rainbow Roll and the Blossom Roll. A woman came out from the back so I could pay; she didn’t ask if I wanted a drink or anything even though I asked if I could sit inside to eat. There was another patron there talking to the sushi chef sitting at the bar area. There’s only two small tables inside that look more like a waiting area. The sushi bar is very low(close to your knees) when sitting so I’m not sure if the bar is too low or the stools are too high. Sort of awkward. This place is definitely intended for just waiting; not the cleanest tables and no formal setup. When they told me my order was ready she motioned that she’d bring it over to where I was sitting at one of the tables which I thought was nice. The other patron noticed that I ordered two rolls and his comment was… «this is your first time here isn’t it». I should have taken that as a hint that these sushi rolls are MASSIVE! I’m not kidding when I tell you they’re 2 – 3 times the size of a normal sushi roll. Apparently people don’t order two sushi rolls from here just for themselves, and I can see why. The Rainbow Roll was good and the fish was fresh but I didn’t like that the avocado was mushed up to a guacamole consistency inside. Since the Blossom Roll is a cucumber roll with no rice it was very difficult to eat due to the size. I had to bite it in half and each piece completely fell apart, otherwise it was very good. They do have an up-charge for spicy mayo which I don’t like and it tasted a little off to me so I didn’t use that much of it. Several people at work have told me that Kirin is a hit-or-miss when it comes to the sushi. The other patron waiting for his sushi order told me he’s a regular and they usually get very busy. The wait for lunch and dinner ordering is usually about an hour(sometimes more) so definitely call ahead to place an order. I had a decent experience and would try them out again but would plan to order ahead for take-out and not plan on staying to eat.

Very fresh and very well prepared with nice portions at a very reasonable price! It more of an order to go place but there are some tables available if your starving and must eat! Haven’t had a bad meal yet. I like this place and will continue to keep going. Strongly recommend !

The food was ok, the portions are huge but the tuna had a very fishy smell. I don’t think I would go back, with so many other good sushi restaurants around, there are better options.

This is such a great sushi take out place! The rolls are huge, fresh and reasonable prices. This is my favorite sushi place! I ordered the Salmon lover, tuna lover and the dancing eel. I will order something different next time, but this place is simple yet very good. Keep up the good work to the owners!

My favorite sushi spot. Huge rolls, very fresh, never fishy, and the best prices. This is 10 miles away from my house and I am willing to drive past many other spots just for this one. Tiny little shop, only two tables so and its a little warm in there so it’s definitely a takeout or delivery spot. The lobster roll with the eel sauce is the absolutely amazing!

Hole in the wall off of Atlantic in Coral Springs. The rolls are huge. Wait time can be a little long when they are busy but busy is a good sign that the food turns over fast. The owner/chef is very nice. I recommend.

I am not the usual sushi water, but this place really changed my mind! I love the Deluxe Shrimp Tempura, it’s amazing! The pieces are huge and the pricing is very reasonable. Also, the rice tastes pretty good. Overall, I definitely love the sushi, the rice is great, I have gone a few times and the sushi is always great.

I’m late on this review but had this the other night for dinner, unfortunately I didn’t like it. I’ve ate here before and like what ingot the California roll and dynamite roll. So I said hmm let me try it again with a co worker. Which I did and I realized why I didn’t like it the pieces where to HUGE! And when I say huge I mean one roll is like to big to put in your mouth. I’m sure some people think we’ll that’s great more food, but personally I don’t like it like that. I also had the spicy tuna roll ehh wasn’t to fond of it as well. Overall they are very fresh and always busy and cannot beat the price, just wish they made the pieces a little smaller, would make the sushi taste way better.

Let’s start with the good: Great tasting sushi! Huge portions! Literally the biggest pieces I’ve had for a sushi roll. Great lunch special prices, 2 rolls for 9 $! The bad: Wait time might be an issue some days, even when you order ahead.

So. We tried this place again, this time for cooked food. Delivery was slow, again, BUT I don’t even care because holy crap the food is delicious. We ordered an appetizer of tempura sweet potatoes, chicken katsu, and chicken teriyaki. The katsu came with 3HUGE pieces of chicken, perfectly cooked, not dry at all. The teriyaki came in a huge filled box. And my tempura ‘appetizer’??? 11 whopping huge pieces. The entrees didn’t come with any sides, just rice. But there’s plenty of food without a salad or soup. HAPPYTUMMY!

As everyone has said the rolls are huge. Biggest rolls I have ever seen. So big that some even started breaking apart. But overall great prices for what you get. Friendly staff. Quick service. My new fav place for sushi. Will be back!

This place was excellent. My husband and I ordered several rolls and were surprised by how huge the portions were! The other reviewers who stated large portions did not lie! They were all very good. We had tons of leftovers which we enjoyed even more the next day!

I love this place. Total hole in the wall spot. It’s pretty much for pick up or take out. Not really a dine in spot. The owners are cool but they’re always super busy so don’t take that as being rude. They’re all around very nice. The sushi here is awesome! Huge portions for less than any other spot. The fish is always fresh and I’ve never been skimped. The only downside is on occasion the rolls aren’t PERFECT looking. But your tummy doesn’t really care.

Love this place! The rolls are huge with lots of fish and avocado inside. Really great deal for the price. Yes, the place is small and best for take-out only. They are pretty good with their time estimates. The lady told me 15 minutes and when we got there, it was ready. The owners are really friendly and you can tell they work very hard. I have been here many times, everything is always really fresh. I would definitely recommend Kirin!

In terms of take out sushi I was impressed. The place is quite small and family run(apparently the owners’ son was elementary school student of the month according to their wall… cute). There are a few places to sit and eat but it is called kiran sushi take out for a reason. Around 8pm on a Saturday we ordered a few rolls to go(rainbow, spicy tuna, florida)…despite the warnings that the rolls are huge we figured leftovers would be a bonus. The woman on the phone said 25 minutes. We picked up about 25 minutes later and they were VERY busy, so it took about ten minutes to get in and out… but the owner was extremely apologetic for the wait, and it didn’t bother me. As everyone else had said the rolls were HUGE. Each one was ten pieces and each piece was probably twice the size of a normal piece of sushi… and there was a lot of fish/avocado/filling in these rolls, they were not just bulking up with rice. We were able to eat about 8 – 10 pieces each. which was a stretch. and put the rest in the fridge. I ate sushi for breakfast the next morning and I think I liked it even better leftover. Now this is by no means the best sushi I have ever had or anything like that, but it is much better than publix sushi or buffet sushi and for the price and convenience of the take out it is well worth it.
