Fabulous steak sandwich and Italian sub from the Coral Springs location. We ordered sandwiches right before closing and the staff was so accommodating. We may have to go back tomorrow for more sandwiches

At Doris Italian Market, the produce is always beautiful and fresh. The chicken breast, which I buy a lot of, is always cheap and of good quality. There are also a variety of meats, desserts, wine and other Italian specialties. The store is very clean and best of all, about 10 minutes from where I live. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the employees could be a little bit friendlier.

I visited the new location in North Palm Beach. Great environment, friendly staff. I loved the selection of fresh meats and seafood. They have everything, a Panini station, fresh produce, fresh flowers, wide selection of hot cooked foods and bakery items such as fresh baked breads, cookies, pastries, pies, cakes etc. Great place to pickup lunch or dinner. Not overpriced at all.

1 word: AMAZING! Coming from New York I never thought I’d find a place like this. From the second you walk in to the minute you leave its heaven. The smell instantly hits you, couldnt wait to try there food! Rice balls are HUGE! I ordered 2 subs they were delicious! You wait a little longer but the service was amazing, they make you feel like family here!

An Italian supermarket in the heart of Coral Springs. They have beautiful fresh local fruits and vegetables, a great selection of meats and seafood, bakery items(Italian cookies galore) and lots of Italian specialties. Large selection of prepared foods that you can just reheat at home and I love their meats that they pre-marinade and assortment of house made Italian sausage — all great for the grill. I like this Doris market better than the Boca version — it’s much more spacious and the shoppers much less abnoxious.

Needed fresh ground sirloin, chuck, and brisket for an amazing hamburger. Called Whole Foods, whose meat department told me they would not ground brisket. Called Doris’ meat department and they said of course. When I arrived the meat grinder was cleaned because it was the end of the day. Ken and Louie happily did it with a smile. That is customer service!

I had been doing yard for all morning long and it was getting close to 2pm and I was starving! I wanted a sub, but a real one, not Subway, and not Publix(I know I shouldn’t say that in South Florida but I am SO over Publix subs). I did a quick Unilocal search and Doris Italian Market came up. Seeing it in the search jogged my memory from a talk feed awhile back where someone had mentioned how great their subs are. I love grocery store exploration so I wasn’t opposed to driving a little extra to get a good sub and see what Doris had in store. I arrived at Doris around 2pm and headed directly to the deli counter. Unlike Publix here you have to take a number even for subs. Despite having to navigate the snow bird population I didn’t have to wait too long to place my order. While I was waiting I started chatting with the only other woman under 70 at the deli counter and she mentioned to me that 2pm is definitely the sweet spot for Doris on the weekends… she said she had noticed there to be a lull around that time and the store would be slightly less crowded and crawling with snow birds fighting for the last quarter pound caponata(saw it happen). My number was called after only a minute or two and I asked for a provolone cheese sub. Immediately I was given the option of seeded, unseeded, or soft bread… now this is a deli. I chose seeded and proceeded to order all my favorite toppings to go with my freshly sliced provolone. The sub was HUGE. I ate 2⁄3 of it because by the time I got home it was approaching 3pm and it was the first thing I had eaten all day, but realistically this could be three meals, and it was only $ 5! Ok so I fell in love with Doris after the sub, and the next night I had a pot luck dinner to attend. Knowing I didn’t have time to prepare any of my famous signature dishes I decided to head back to Doris. Their deli has so many freshly made items that I knew i couldn’t go wrong. They have everything here. From GIANT rice balls, to pre breaded eggplant and chicken cutlets to house made sauce you can easily fool someone into thinking you’re a real Italian with a trip here. I opted for apps with their fresh bruschetta and eggplant caponata(I figured it had to be good after the scene I saw on Saturday). They were both a hit! I will never claim to be Italian, but I know delicious food, and this was certainly that. In terms of groceries I noticed a wide variety of produce here and the prices were excellent. Aside from the deli they have a bakery with fresh bread and desserts, a butcher, a wine variety, and quite a few frozen items that I’m sure would make a yummy Italian dinner without too much fuss. I was impressed with the store for grab and go items, but I could definitely see doing a full grocery shop here as well. The best part was, even though the store was a little crowded, the cashier lines were a breeze!

Tonight I found a slice of heaven. This was my first visit to Doris and I am in love. It reminds me of home, Brooklyn, NY. The produce was fresh and prices right. The bakery divine. Purchased Saint Joseph pastries, large chocolate chip cookie and other goodies for dessert. We stopped by the deli counter and could no believe all the wonderful pre made food. I will never have to cook again. Purchased the sweet and sour meatballs, broccoli and garlic, string beans and garlic, meat balls, anti pasta salad, and stuffed cabbage. My family enjoyed everything. The staff at Doris are very helpful and engaging. My experience was wonderful looking forward to my next visit. This is a must for all foodies. Thank you.

The absolute best in all things Italian! Their prepared foods take your breath away — and don’t even start me on the bakery. The staff is friendly and helpful — and if you’re willing to try a new wine or cheese, there are people readily available to help you. Enjoy!

This place is small… and crowded. I still gave it five stars. The produce is fresh. like the stuff I’m used to seeing in California fresh. Most produce here in Florida just plain sucks. It has to be trucked across the country, it’s humid so it goes bad quickly. Usually picked too soon so that it doesn’t spoil before it’s put on the shelf… Doris’ produce is perfect(except the avocados this one time, but they were out of season, so they were a little new for guacamole… I was lucky they had avocados at all) They have a cheesemonger here… a person dedicated to helping you pick the right cheese… this person brings in some phenomenal cheeses. Who doesn’t love cheese? This is the place. They don’t have a lot of fresh bread, but their cakes smell amazing. Meat…MEAT! The butchers here will custom grind meat into hamburger for me. I like my hamburgers made from a particular cut, and have a particular ratio of fat to meat…87%/13%…made from ribeye. No problem, please continue shopping and we’ll get it done for you. No questions, no worries. That’s service! They also always ask if you’re going to cook it tonight or freeze it… they will package it for freezing if you are saving it for later. They have an outside contractor to run their wine department. His selection reminds me of home… nothing but really great wines. You can’t go wrong with anything here, and the prices tend to be below other stores. I think the only bad thing about the store is that it closes at 7… not a lot of time to get here after work. You need to shop here.

I have just a few words for this Doris… the holy grail of all that is Italian specialty in Coral Springs… in summary PROSCIUTTO de Parma at $ 27.00 /lb. is the best thing you will every eat in your life. The experts at the meat counter know how to slice it and package it properly so that the flavor is preserved. Get a lot. Get more. Go get a fresh Italian bread loaf, sharp provolone and swing by the great selection of wine… for a bottle.

It’s a not so small market as I expected but still has that family grocery shop kind of feeling about it. Staff is very friendly and products seem to be of very good quality. Their selection of cheese, wine and past is very good. Bakery shop is also a must-try.

Fresh produce, amazing bakery, great selection of wine and cheeses AND a well stocked meat case. I come here often and always find what I need. The staff is very knowledgeable in their corresponding departments, cashier are pleasant and fast! I wish they had organic, if the do, I’ve yet to see it, but overall it’s a great market.

This is my go-to place for once a month stocking up the freezer. the quality of the meats and produce are not only cheaper than Publix but a much higher quality. I love going to the counter picking out my meats and have them cut it right on the spot. Being a regular is nice because everyone knows me by my name and it’s a fun experience. Love your wine selection g selection in every now and then I indulge with some pastries. When grilling, my family knows the difference between meats from doris and anyone else.

This is a great little Italian market! When you walk in, you can smell the cheeses, salamis and all the things that say, «Italy.» We really like to come here for the prepared meat items. The things like the stuffed chicken breasts are so convenient, when you can’t think of anything to cook or you just don’t feel up to doing it yourself. You bring them home, pop them in the oven and voila! you have dinner! They are very tasty and well prepared. There is a soup and salad bar to go with your entrée. Or you can buy your entrée already cooked. Then the dinner starts to get pricier. There is also a nice selection of fresh fruits and veggies, which are sometimes less expensive than in other markets. Sometimes not, you have to know your prices. Along with those are an interesting collection of sauces, including freshly made and refrigerated Italian sauces in case you don’t want to make your own but you don’t want the ones in the jars, either. The fresh breads and pastries are also really good. I have to be careful not to take home all of them. Carbs are totally my weakness. I do wish it was a bit roomier. If there are many people shopping, it gets pretty crowded.

I love their subs!!! I come here now at least once a week to purchase their subs. Move over Publix… Doris has one up on you!!! They use boars head which I love and they use this bread that is absolutley delicious. Awesome, just awesome!!! The store itself is very nice. The fruits and veggies are beautiful just like Whole Foods or Fresh Market. They have an extensive bakery and carry my favorite cookies of all time, the black & white cookie. Yum!!! Their deli and seafood section is great, lots of stuff to choose from. They also have a salad and soup bar. I haven’t really checked out their meat section yet but from what I can see it looks pretty good. I’m not really there to purchase meat anyway cause for that I shop at Penn Dutch. I’m basically there for their deli and bakery. The only complaint I have is that this store is very pricey but I do understand that it’s a specialty store with better quality. So I leave you with this, come check out Doris Italian Market, there’s something for everyone!!! :-) :-) :-)

This place reminds me of Harry’s Farmers Market in Atlanta, but on a smaller scale. Plenty of fresh produce, fresh baked goods as well as a great meat selection. Grab a sub and some black/white cookies to take home. Their beer selection is decent, including some offerings from Funky Buddha. If you’ve ever considered throwing a vowel at the end of your last name, you’ll feel right at home when you’re in Doris’s.

Doris Italian Market and Bakery, I’ve never felt so Italian! So here I am and I feel like The Italian stallion every time I walk thru the doors. I love the Italian culture and people. Even though most of my friends who are Italian are three generations removed from the old country… furgettabout! Who cares that you are really just American! Shopping here even I feel Italian. The Aroma We are driven by smells. You could blind fold me, drive me around and walk me into Doris Italian Market and Bakery. I would know right away where I am. I’m not Italian but my buddy Richie is hardcore Italian who loves to cook and this joint smells like his house. The smell of gravy(tomato sauce) in a pot, meat cooking, salad/vegetables being chopped up run thru my nostrils. The added bonus at Doris Italian Market and Bakery is the smell of the cookies, cakes, and breads baking away. Being Italian smells so damn good! I known anyone who has been here and are reading this knows exactly what I’m talking about. The Store By the way, this store was remodeled a couple of years ago and it’s beautiful. I also like the lay out. The produce area is first up when you walk in. The bright colors of the fruits and vegetables catch your eye first. This section is well organized and everything is just screaming for you to buy them. Next up the bakery. Damn you Doris! You stick the naughty stuff right after the heathy stuff. My knees goes weak every time I attempt to walk past this area. There must be some sort of gravitation device behind the cookie/cake counter that makes my shopping cart veer in that direction. Hello! I should not be doing this, but I’ll take four chocolate cannolis, please. Next thing I know the box of cannolis are in my cart. WTF just happened? How did I get in front of the damn cookie counter? Oh well, I shake it off and say I guess it was just meant to be. Deli here I come baby! Now this is just part of why I love this joint. All the prepared dishes in this case. Lasagnas, meatballs, fried chicken cutlets, eggplant parmesan, manicotti, stuff shells, pasta salad… seriously the list goes on and on. The selections are crazy. The further you walk down is where the deli meats/cheeses are cut and sandwiches are made. Insider tip folks, they have one of the best sandwich deals in Broward County. Each day they have a certain sub that is discounted. The price and the quality of meats being used cannot be beat trust me. Here fishy fishy fishy. The selection of fresh seafood is pretty impressive. They tend to have some of the biggest stone crab claws around. If you are lucky you can catch them on sale. I would say their selections are comparable to Whole Foods. There are different sales every week so you are bound to catch a good deal. Last but not least is the Meat section. Again the selections are crazy good. Like I stated above, they are always running some sort or sale or special so you can save some cash. I highly suggest you sign up for their weekly flyer to be sent to your email. Customer Service Everyone I’ve ever dealt with has been super friendly. I can say this: when it’s busy there it can be a little crazy. I would compare it to ordering from a a NY style deli. You pull a number and wait your turn. Make sure you know what you want and be around when they call your number. It’s no-nonsense and don’t waste their time. The servers at the counter can have an edge to them. If you have shopped here you know what I’m talking about. Verdict I’m moving in! I don’t need much space to live in and I promise to be quiet. Please call me at 867‑5309 and I’ll be over to sign the lease. Remember to tell them that Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

I am Italian and I approve of Doris’s! Recently I have been buying quite a few of their prepared foods like the stuffed cabbage(bery good. tangy sweet sauce), Eggplant parm(a little too bready but good), Manicotti(very good), vela parm(excellent), chicken picatta(alright) and the stuffed pepers(could have used seasoning and more meat .was mostly rice) and delicious rice balls! I always leave with a loaf of Italian bread while getting a few boxes of delicious cookies. The store is very clean the workers are always happy nice and helpful and I love being able to pronounce everything the way it should be said! Viva Italia… Bravo Doris’s!
