I’m addicted to this place!!! It’s at the best location, Village of Merrick park, and it’s always a delight for me to go in there and select my favorite frozen yogurt, dulce de leche, and add my own toppings. The staff is friendly and it’s worth making a stop.

Love to have frozen yogurt in the mall where I work! I stop by 3 times in one week and then I won’t go for months but it has always been consistent and I like that. They keep the same yogurt flavors but I don’t mind because they are a decent selection. I opt for original tart and coconut with fruits on top which always seem fresh. The prices don’t baffle me that much and the staff is always friendly.

I am from NJ where fro-yo is a big trend so I was delighted when I came across this place situated in the beautiful Coral Gables. I wasn’t greeted accordingly(the place wasn’t busy, my friend and I were there on a Tuesday afternoon) and it took a few minutes before I even got sample cups(I had to ask). The flavor options were limited to the point my friend didn’t walk away with anything and the toppings were also very limited, aka disappointing. Being I wanted a cup of fro-yo, I didn’t care if they didn’t have enough flavors/toppings and went with it. I got the taro as I don’t get this all the time. The fro-yo itself, It was mediocre and nothing spectacular. When it came to check-out, the girl was not friendly and when I asked if she could break change for a $ 10 bill, I must have gotten a 10 second blank stare as if I had ten heads until she finally honored my request.(No, there was no language barrier, it was straight up rudeness).

Another in the long line of self-serve yougurt shops popping up all over town. This is the one in Merrick Park.(ground floor near Nordstrom) There are now so many around town, that it’s hard to tell them apart… ie. market saturation. But hey, its froyo, so I’m not complaining! :) Their froyo is more yogurty than ice-creamy and due to space constrants, they are a little limited in toppings, although the selction isn’t bad. Prices seem a little higher than the competition, but it’s Merrick Park, so as to be expected. It’s good and very convenient if you’re in the Mall; however, Cocolimon on Miracle Mile is still my favortie Big negative is they don’t have a freuqent froyo card. Doesn’t give me an incentive to come back.

«Hi, welcome to Yogurberry.» «Thanks, I’ve never been to a Yogurberry.» «Ok, welcome. Well, it’s self-serve non-fat frozen yogurt. We have one size cup you fill with whatever flavors and toppings you want. You’ll be charged by the weight. Would you like to sample some taro?» I do a quick check of the flavors: chocolate, vanilla, piña colada, mango, original tart, dulce de leche, strawberry cream and taro. «No, thank you. I see you have dulce de leche so I think I’ll have that.» Walking towards the cups I ask, «What is taro anyway?» «Oh, it’s a vegetable. It’s really good.» «A vegetable? Uhm, I’m definitely sticking with dulce de leche.» As I’m about to serve my dulce de leche I think, «A veggie as frozen yogurt –that’s interesting.» «You know what? On second thought, yeah, let me try the taro.» Yuuuuuuuummmmmmmmyyyyyy. Taro caused a party on my palate. That one flavor not too sweet and not tarty, just light and fresh. I didn’t think my now taro-filled cup needed any toppings, but I could have dressed it up with blueberries, raspberries, bananas, pellet-sized strawberry(or was that lychee) juice balls, pineapples, oreo cookies, nuts, caramel, nutella, gummy bears, you name it! All the toppings seemed fresh. I like that this locally owned franchise location has the«standard» frozen yogurt favors as well as non-standard ones. There are no chairs or tables inside, but that’s ok since there are several directly outside. This turned out to be a nice little go-to spot for an afternoon snack.
