okay people. i cant help myself and say something about this place. their answering service, retuning call or messages suck. you can’t never get these people on the phone. even if youre willing to book the place. it makes me feel they dont want my business. trying to reach them for many days. i only give them one start because the place is pretty but that’s all. it makes me feel that the day of the even they wont even care to answer. what if i pay the down payment and run off with my money and you cant get a hold of them. truly disappointed.

Don’t EVER rent from this company! My sisters wedding was in the coral bldg this evening… the air conditioning did not function. All the guests were sweating and uncomfortable, many left early.
The manager was nowhere to be found, the venue people didn’t even offer to buy fans even though we were all melting and the thermostat read over 80 degrees the entire night.
I would never recommend this venue. The management is completely incompetent and unreliable!
Also, there is no suite for the bride to wait in. We had to wait in the bathroom to escape the heat while guests arrived.
Even though the other bldg adjacent to ours was empty, they wanted to charge us $ 1k to use the room for half an hour for the bride to wait in.
This place is completely unprofessional, unreasonable and honestly the worst experience Ive ever had with an event venue… completely ruined my sisters wedding!!!

After countless e-​mails, proposals, phone calls, and reception venue visits… I’ve picked this place. For various reasons:
1. The Spanish Monastery was booked over a year and half on my date
2. I didn’t want a hotel
3. The really nice places on the beach were way over my budget
4. I loved the place: the limestone walls, the chandeliers, the wooden ceilings… oh so classy!
5. I loved the location: you can’t get more central than Coral Gables and more historical than a 1920’s building.
6. Last but not least: they have great pricing
That being said there are also things that I didn’t like such as the fact that you have to use their chosen linen company and when you schedule your appointment with the linen company they’ve set up a caterer to see you as well. It’s like a little party planning mafia. Thus far the good does outweigh the bad, now let’s see how the party goes!

This place is absolutely beautiful. It was established in 1923 so there is plenty of history behind the establishment. My favorite part of this place are the limestone walls. really pretty. Inside both ballrooms is a romantic almost mideavel feel. Chandaliers hanging and big fireplaces. gorgeous.
The price for renting the space is also very reasonable. $ 2800 for a Saturday (Room fee only).
Really a great location for any special event.
