When my fiancé and I were «oohing and awing» at the invitations on display in the store with crystallized ornaments fastened on the invitation box, Creative Director Ricardo Lowe put it simply: «The invitation is like a gift to each of your guests.»
For our wedding, we wanted our invitations to reflect the mood and romantic style of the wedding venue. The options found in heavyweight catalog invitation books were ordinary, bland, commonplace, plain and forgettable.
When we met with Ricardo, his original ideas blew us away. Having an eye for detail and architecture, Ricardo studied the architecture of our venue and sketched a drawing with the architectural design that mirrored the medieval gothic architecture of our wedding venue. Using precise laser-​cut technology, the final product had our venue’s iron-​work gates, which opened to display the invitation inside. It wasn’t an invitation, it was a piece of art. An unforgettable first impression.
