Enrique Salon

Nigel is just awesome. He does terrific highlights and is such a great conversationalist – from The Economist to guilty-​pleasure TV, he’s just fun to hang out with for a few hours. My husband and I have both been going there for years now. They have free parking (i.e., no need to go feed a parking meter with foils on your head), and it’s really easy to book appointments, which is particularly wonderful because I always wait until I’m long overdue. Best of all, prices are much less than my prior Gables salons. I’ve also had Enrique, Cesar, and Jorge do my hair when Nigel is on vacation, and they are terrific, too.

So nice, but so overpriced. We love Nigel so we will always be back. :)

Nigel is the guy to go to if you want a quality men’s haircut. It is always so nice to feel welcomed back and be able to catch up on life during my short cut. Salon is very well kept and owner is always there to greet and service clients. They have done a nice job of updating their salon to make it more modern and they have a nice selection of Aveda products for both men and women.

As usual, I was long overdue for a haircut… This always seems to be the first line of any salon review.
After a recommendation from a friend, I decided to try Enrique Salon for a trim and blow dry. I say «try,» but this was more than just a trial — this haircut would live in infamy in my graduation photos! AKA no time for mistakes.
Ask for Mayda! She continually promised me my hair would look good. And, she delivered. My mom likes my hair shorter, and I like it longer. When we both agree the hair cut was fabulous, you know the stylist did something right! I showed Mayda a blowout a stylist did previously, and she was not only able to copy it, but do it better!
This place is a true gem. Nestled at the end of a strip mall, easy to book appointments, friendly service, affordable especially considering Miami prices, and stylists with hair cutting hands of magic! Magical Mayda helped make me feel amazing on this special graduation day — some risks pay off!

I go here all the time to blow dry my hair with Mayda. I have long hair (to my mid-​back) that is naturally wavy. She does an excellent job of drying it straight but with volume and some movement at the ends. She is so nice too! The prices are fair and they have been renovating the salon so it is looking nicer and nicer. This is a great neighborhood spot for sure.

Art in any shape it’s one of my main passions in life. And when it comes to hair am always in the lookout for skilfull people with a unique view, great knowledge of products and a natural way of understanding what it’s best for their client, on top of being good human beings and a place with warm atmosphere! What can I say I want it all… And this place has it!
It’s has the perfect size to keep it personal and it’s full of natural light! I’ve seen the this master stylists before in very prestigious salons and they all share not only friendship but a very unique sense of aesthetics that make the perfect balance! So it was great to see them all toghether!
Enrique can deliver the sexy and chick look like no other! Alex can go North or South has that New York hip dearing way but he can do conservative too! While Nigel brings that elegant European touch that can seem effortless but it’s in deed a true art form!
So it doesn’t matter what you may need Latin, American, European the have it!

OK, I need to update my review. Even though my experience at the salon was great, my Keratin treatment has not come out the way I thought it would. I’ve washed it with my usual Keratin Complex and other sulfate free shampoo and have followed every step in order to keep the treatment working as best as possible. My hair is still curly from my roots to the end of my last Keratin treatment prior to this one. I will be getting in touch with the owner about this. My review will be updated once again as soon as I hear from them.
