Specializing in 18−19th century European antiquities, Senior Ignacio Granada has been operating Alhambra Antiques since 1999 and will soon close doors here in down town Coral Gables in May to join a group of antique dealers in Fort Lauderdale.
I stopped in to take a peek at this store which opens daily at noon on week days. The items for sale center around furnishing, lighting and art. Some of the items are a novelty such as a 1900th century manual car pump that was converted to a lamp fixture with an old style filament. I especially liked the ivory carving in a gold frame depicting Jesus Crucifixion.
If you are shopping for novelty items, please stop by Alhambra Antiques before they close their doors in May.
