My wife and I were out for a drive on a warm Friday afternoon after being inside for several weeks. We wound up in Copper-Basin, TN so we decided to try Habaneros Tex-Mex Restaurant. First, the Salsa and chips were really good. The chips were crispy and fresh and the Salsa has a little bite without being overly hot and requiring you to drink a gallon of water between bites. I ordered the Steak Quesadilla. It came with grilled onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers. I also ordered a side of rice and beans. The sides are $ 1.75 each, but you can get rice and beans ½ serving of each for $ 1.75(this is the first time I’ve seen this. I like the idea). The Steak Quesadilla was $ 5.25. The food was good and flavorful. My wife ordered a Spinach Quesadilla with a side of Guacamole salad. She said the Spinach Quesadilla was not very flavorful and the Guacamole salad was just a bed of lettuce, a few tomatoes, with a large dollop of Guacamole on it. The Spinach Quesadilla was $ 3.95 and the Guacamole Salad was $ 1.75. She said not to order these items. All things considered, this restaurant being in an out-of-the-way location, everything was good.

This place has amazing food! We had a party of 11 and everyone loved their meals. Our server was fast and friendly. My wife and I are particularly critical of Mexican restaurants, but this one is excellent. We came in to town on the Blue Ridge Railway and I only wish we lived near here.

Really great salsa! Cilantro style I had the steak and chicken fajitas. Pretty good. Everyone liked there meals. We all said we would go again.
