We had an amazing time!!! My 1yo daughter LOVED it! It was our 1st time feeding wild animals real close. The animals were so sweet, so don’t be afriad to put your hands out. Be sure to buy 3 bags of food or more up front to feed the animals. There were lemurs, monkeys, and peacocks in cages. We saw goats, deers, llamas, zebras, camels, buffalos, donkies, ostriches, etc. Save food for the LONGHORNS in the end(BEWARE they might scratch your vehicle). We witnessed a goat giving birth too! I do recommend going to this place. We will come back when we have visitors from out of state!

Such a fun experience! You drive along all the animal and are able to feed them. I was so scared at first cause they WILL put their heads in the car window, but after awhile I got use to it & enjoyed my time! The camel was super cute & eats not only the food but also the brown bag it comes in lol.

This place was one of the coolest things I’ve done on my trip to Ft. Hood. About a 20 minute drive from the base(be sure to get your discount tickets on base if you’re military). We saw so many animals and they all came right up to the car for some feed. Get about 1 bag of feed per person because you’ll want to save some for the nice zebras and the huge camel at the end. We went to the petting zoo and hung out with the goats at the end. Seriously worth the little trip out in the beautiful Texas countryside.

This place was AWESOME! Drive through was amazing. We weren’t even five minutes into the drive thru and an animal stuck it’s head into our window and stole a whole bag of feed! That made our day! Definitely, a great experience for my little family. There was also a petting zoo where my daughter enjoy attempting to pet the goats! The only downside of this trip was that the car in front of us kept dropping feed in the middle of the driving path causing the animals to block the way. It just gave us more time to look though!

Wanted to drive thru the zoo on our trip back from San Antonio. Veered off route and lost 1 hour of commute time only to find the gate locked and no sign of why the zoo was closed. Called the numbers posted in fence and no response. Unilocal info said zoo was open and their website had no contact information to confirm before committing to the drive.

Great place to bring the kiddos. Enjoy exotic animals from your car. Kids & adults enjoy it. Great memories and great laughs will occur. We usually leave with a memory my kids cherish.

We had such a blast. My 2 year old enjoyed seeing all the animals. Loved the camel he was hilarious. Saw so many animals beautiful zebras, lonhorns, goats, oryx, etc. Wish they had annual passes cause we will be back more. Probably once a month 100% worth it.

The ONLY reason this place gets a 3-star review from me is due to the fact that there were tigers randomly in the middle of the drive through trail, locked up in small cages and they were clearly miserable. From an animal activists perspective, these were horrible conditions for such a beautiful«royals» to be living in. It is HOT here in Texas, and the 2 tigers I saw were both curled up in the tiniest bit of shade that was available in their cage. From a tourist perspective, the tiger«exhibit» was completely meaningless… they are obviously depressed, no fun, and we can’t even get out of the car or near them to see them. It’s such a far view from the car, all you make out is giant stripped fur sleeping… this is such a useless attraction in this park. The owners should consider making this drive through an exclusive herbivore animal endeavor. I know of plenty of animal sanctuaries that would gladly take those giant cats off your hands. Also the monkeys and birds were particularly depressing… the tiniest cage kept the capuchin monkeys, and they clearly want to play in a more adequate space. The birds have rubbed their feathers off to where they are bald trying to escape from the small cages, I just wanted to break open the gates and set them free! :( The drive itself… aside from what I’ve mentioned above was amazing. My son loved every moment of it. Don’t even think of doing this drive unless you buy at least 3 bags of feed to feed all the animals. BEWARETHEOSTRICH… It will peck at you, on you, your car, windows… etc… it was a hilarious moment when my mother was«greeted» by it, did I roll her windows all the way down and then put the child lock on so she had to keep shooing it away? YES. Was it hysterical? YES. but that’s beside the point. Just be aware! Please consider removing the tigers from this attraction!

We were unsure if our one year old daughter would enjoy the drive through safari but she absolutely loved it. It was really wonderful that many of the animals came up to the cars. They have quite a variety of animals which makes the drive worth while. Great scenery. Down drawbacks we’re seeing a bear in a very small cage with a sign that stated his natural climate was a rainforest wetland. We live in Texas and it in the high 90’s. I also never saw the staff until we went into the gift shop and they followed us in and again back out. Will likely return at some point makes for a good afternoon activity.

This is an awesome place for kids & adults! My husband & I had more fun than the kids lol. When you go to pay, it’s a MUST that you buy animal feed for the animals :) it’s so much more entertaining! Lol. The animal feed is $ 1 per bag which is pretty good! It’s really simple, pay, drive through the dirt road & you can feed the animals. At the end of your tour, you can get out & go to the petting zoo & the gift store. What I love about this place is you’re in the comforts of your own car, you can leave the AC on you can FEED them! Like a hands on zoo! Lol Be careful for the ostrich who puts its whole head in the car to peck you bag of food lol. This is definitely something worth checking out especially if you have kids! You won’t regret it :)

Wonderful opportunity. Great fun for the whole family. We loved it! We were the first visitors of the day. So the animals were all too happy to come quickly! Lol! It was a morning well spent. :)

Awesome place! SO worth your money. It took us an hour and a half to go through the whole park and then we went too the little petting zoo after we finished the trail part. The animals never got aggressive towards us and the car in front of us was hand feeding all the animals along the way(even though it says not to).

I went to zoos as a kid and was bored to tears. Topsey Exotic Ranch doesn’t lock the animals in cages.(Ok, the bear is in a cage) It’s nice to not see zebras from 100 yards away, but instead hand feed them right outside your car’s window. I was impressed by all the different species they have there. As others said, your car may get scratched from not throwing the feed far enough away from your car. It’s very easy to find also. Take 1113 north from Copperas Cove until it dead ends. The ranch is basically right in front of you. And yes, Mikey the camel will forcibly take your bags of food. Bring city kids here to blow their mind.

Loved this place during my recent stay in Texas. Perfect for children, of all ages! Buy 5 bags of feed! Save one for the camel, he not only sticks his head into your car, but eats the paper bag as well. :) such a great experience. Be careful GPS users! Call for directions! I ended up driving an extra hour trying to find this place!

A good, different kind of zoo. Not much of a selection of animals to see. Beware of the camel! My brother came in from Chicago with my nephew so I took them. The camel broke out the bake window. At the end, another family said they had the same problem with him a few weeks back.

So fun! Highlight was hand feeding the zebras. Tips: Bring a car that you don’t mind getting damaged. Some animals have horns and can get super duper close. The horns on the Texas Longhorn are crazy, and they got really close and personal with our car. Luckily, the car escaped without any scratches. The ostrich and camel can get aggressive. Like camel sticking its head into the car to grab the whole bag of feed. Nevertheless, it added to the fun.
