I like it here, very rarely, they do tend to oversalt the food and the takeout is a joke sometimes but all the times dining in with my husband, it hasn’t been too bad. The complimentary chips and salsa are delicious(one is spicier than the other and one has a bean-taste to it), even their new(watery) queso tasted good. The place is sort of hidden in a tiny plaza deep in Copperas Cove. The prices are fair and the portions are huge! I think during calmer days you get to seat yourself. Coming from Sacramento, it’s not the best Mexican food but it’s better than most places around here. Get the asada mini tacos, the gorditas, or the tortas and you won’t be disappointed(hopefully).

we eat here alot BUT it seems to have gone down hill! We went there on Friday which was alittle busy but not overly. First off the waitress tried to have us sit right at the front door rather than find a table, when we asked for something more in the bad she tried to put us next to the kitchen & bathroom– we ended up having to ASK for a table ourselves. then it took 3 times to get a drink right– how hard is a Coke – not diet Coke? Then no chips & salsa… some random guy asked if we wanted some then got it but it was in small white plastic to go cups when everyone else around us had actually dishes – filled only halfway! then dinner itself which normally is hot & really good now it came to us warm with cheese not even melted!!! then we got the wrong check… then the waitress decide opps i make mistake sorry then was gone again! when we finally got separate checks which as easy— it came to $ 10.49 each… i checked my account today & they charged me $ 12.59!!! we didnt put a tip on there because we left real money!!! the guy that checked us out was barely understandable & i signed a copy & added $ 10.49 with zero on the tip line… i will be calling & complaining if this stays this way when it’s completed through. Also he asked something about a copy & I said no because he had like 4 huge pieces of paper… so if he added money on to the bill & ran it I’ll be super pissed!

Me and my boyfriend stopped in to have breakfast with my parents. They were already there and eaten, so when we got there We were immediately seated with them, but the lady walked away and it took 15 min to finally get our drinks orders and another 10 to actually get our drinks to the table.(Let me remind you that there were only 2 other tables in the place so they were not busy at all). When she took our order, I got the eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast and my boyfriend got an omelette. The food came out pretty quick, but 2SMALLSLICESOFBACON?! Really. The eggs were extremely rubbery and tasted like they put a cup of salt on it. The bacon wasn’t even cooked all the way and the hash browns were cold and was barely cooked at all. My boyfriend said his omelette was real rubbery and salty as well. I never got my water refilled once and his sweet tea tasted like thick syrup, and we absolutely love sweet tea. We don’t ever want to go back to this place.

I eat here all the time, and love it. The staff are all very friendly and attentive, the service is super fast(I often receive my food within minutes of ordering), and the food is delicious. I’ve ordered several different items off the menu and have never been disappointed. There’s plenty of seating, the atmosphere is casual and friendly, and the beer’s pretty cheap. My only real complaint, and literally the ONLY reason I’m not giving them 5 stars, is that the last 2 or 3 times I’ve gone there, the menus were extremely dirty from previous customers. I’m not like a germophobe or anything, so when I say they’re dirty, I don’t just mean germy. I mean there is food smeared on them that gets on your hands when you touch them. It’s kinda gross, but not really a deal-breaker for me. I normally forget all about it after I order and wash/sanitize my hands, so I’ve never even really told them about it.

This is the last Mexican restaurant in the area for us to try. First, the service was great. Our waitress Chrissy, had a great attitude and big smile. We had questions, if she didn’t know, she went and found out. Second, the restaurant itself. Its bigger than we thought, happy hour is from 4 – 7, spacious and overall it’s OK. There was a pesky flt, but that’s not their fault. The food was pretty good overall. They bring out queso hot sauce and some other hot sauce that I have named The Devils diarrhea. I don’t do spicy very well… So, out of all the Mexican places to eat, this is the best. We will be back.

Amazing! An army group of 30 came in for lunch. The staff seated us and were well prepared. All of our food arrived promptly and delicious. The attentive servers happily catered to our needs and were extremely polite. No language barriers here, one of the servers speaks 5 languages! Plenty of room to accommodate multiple groups at the same time. I live 20 minutes away, but I’ll definitely return.

First time here! I ordered a wet burrito and the waiter had no clue what I was talking about. Ok so they tried to make one and it was ok not the greatest but just ok. My husband ordered a torta and it was AMAZING! And the service was fast and great. I would defiantly come back and try something different from their menu.

Being from Arizona, I have had some amazing Mexican cuisine. This small little place in Copperas Cove was in the top 3 places I have ever been. Great prices and delicious food. Wish they were in AZ!

Food is just not good. EVERYTHING was way over salted(and I like salt). I left the majority of my food untouched, couldn’t handle it. If it hadn’t been takeout, I would have walked out. Try El Corral instead. While you can’t eat in, the food is much better.

I’ve lived here 4 years and this is my first visit. Service was slow and inexperienced. I ordered the shrimp Diablas all the food tasted microwaved and was brought two flour tortillas. I wanted corn and when I asked for some she told me it would be .99 cents extra. I got 4 tortillas brought to me while a pack of 50 is well under $ 2. I’m not here to bash on this business but these are the facts. The place IS run down, the menu IS too busy and poorly put together with too many options, the staff IS a bit slow and the food IS of poor quality even in comparison to the mediocre Mexican restaurants within the area. It’s just sad really.

Was very hungry one night and was passing by, we decided to try it out. It was cute on the inside with live music! We thought how cool! The food though… yuck. definitely not coming back. It looked heated up in a microwave. There was no quality to it. Looked like It was just slapped on the plate. I ate a quarter of my plate and couldn’t finish. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want quality Mexican food.

Let’s start by saying the wait staff was good! It’s run down, and the food was very nasty! We got our food our sour cream was very watery so we asked(what’s up with the sour cream) the owner came out and told us it was Mexican sour cream, that’s how it was in Mexico! So I called a friend who is from there. She told me sour cream is the same every where. So I think he was running low and wanted to make it last long he added water! Food was ok but not good! I will not go back, ever. Just wanted to warn every one! If you want good tex mex do not go there!!!

Not sure what’s going on with all of these positive reviews — maybe we’re going to different restaurants. I’ve noticed that the wait staff has an extremely high turnover rate and from my experience here, I can’t blame them. I’ve come in on multiple nights & the most consistent thing about this place is that it has slow service. Menu is also ridiculously large. Food and service is suffering because of it. I would rather have less options and better quality. Not the best Mexican restaurant in the area, although none are too great. Best bet is to make the drive out to Alfredo’s.

The first time we came was for brunch but we came back for dinner and it was still amazing. It was a Wednesday and the Margaritas were $ 1, the service was friendly and helpful in selecting a meal. The menu is expansive so it took a while to decide but I’m sure anything they offer is tasty.

Extremely tasty authentic Mexican food! I brought a coworker here for a work lunch. We order the guacamole as an appetizer and it was cold, fresh and delicious. We both ordered the grilled chicken quesadillas. They were mouthwatering. The chicken was grilled to perfection, hefty portions and fresh toppings. We loved every bit of it. Compliments to the cooks! Also, recommend Anna as your server. She’s a sweetheart.

I love going here for brunch. They have a killer brunch menu most items under $ 5 They even have weird things for brunch like cactus tacos so just go try the brunch if you are into trying new things. I like the huevos rancheros it’s always cooked perfectly and the sauce they use is so tasty. They also have a potato egg spicy side dish thing that I’m addicted to more or less ;) The lunch and dinner menu is tasty but standard interior mexican with some coastal dishes in the mix, brunch is where they shine you guys! I’m for SERious ;)

Consistently good over the years, despite all of the Fort Hood restaurants slipping and turning into clones of each other, serving the same bland, greasy cheese covered nonsense. Another one bites the dust, all the Mexican places in this area are officially the same. This place went from first to worst in my book, simply because, the food was the only good part about the restaurant. Since the food quality slipped to the same level as all the other places around here, the bad stuff really shines though. There’s a table in the corner where the employees take turns eating, and when they’re not doing something, they’re all clustered around the table socializing. Soft drinks are $ 2.00 so they make about $ 1.90 profit on each fountain drink sold. I’m okay with $ 1.50, but don’t be blatant about it. Oh well.
