Chips and salsa were good. Watch out salsa has a hit bit to it. So was expecting good thing from this. Husband got enchilada. Have to say the rice and retried brand were good. But the enchilada’s were quite oily. Once they were cut up and moved over the rice and beans not so bad. As for me my mushroom quesadilla. Was also oily. And the pics de gallo and guacamole. Didn’t have any flavor or spice to it. Not bad but will have to think about going back.

I’m not entirely sure about the name of this place. The outside says one thing but the inside menu says another thing. So that’s slightly confusing. Went here to have a margarita because their outside sign ADVERTISES margaritas. First thing I asked for was a margarita and they didn’t have??? So I asked for a like jarritos… Which at first I was told they had but then didn’t. That was another strike. The food was okay. I order the flautas, which was good but honestly, I felt like it was something pre made and then heated up. The waitress was very nice though! Not sure if I’d go back.

Our first time eating dinner here. Waitress was very nice and checked back often. Queso, chips and salsa were amazing. Our party ordered steak fajitas, beef enchiladas and beef chimichanga. Absolutely delicious. Mexican rice was the he freshest we’ve ever had. A gentleman came by our table asking how everything was and we told him everything was amazing. He said he was the new owner and appreciated our kind words. We came back the following morning to try breakfast. Best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had.

Mediocre food at best… The service was worse than hideous. The waitress spent our whole time there actively avoiding coming to our table. Tried on several occasions to get her attention but she spent most of her time walking to the other side of the restaurant. When she was walking toward our side she did do with her head turned away from us. We never saw the appetizer we ordered even though she specifically repeated it after taking our order. After finishing our meal we finally pushed our plates off to the side as a signal that we were done to get her attention. Ultimately I had to stand and wave her over to ask for the check. She shrugged and pointed and said«the cashier is over there…». The«main restroom» had the toilet lid taped down with a sign to «use the one in the bar». At the other end of the restaurant I found a restroom where I was greeted with a sign stating«Would you PISS on your floor in your house??? Ok, then WHY do it in MINE!!!» please note… the less than appropriate wording in this review(namely the words in the restroom sign) were not put there by me, rather by the restaurant owner. If you’re offended by this(as was I) then avoid the restaurant, don’t scold my review. AVOIDATALLCOSTS.

Nice staff, food was nothing to write home about. Not to mention for Mexican food it wasn’t very«cheap». I’ve had much better Mexican food and larger portions at other Mexican restaurants. Not to mention the food is far from home made. Tortilla chips, and salsa as well as tortillas were all store bought not made on site. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to friends.

Taco Bell has better Mexican food than this place. Tortilla chips taste like they came straight from the grocery store, shredded cheese used on dishes also looked like I could buy it at Walmart. There is not a lot of flavor or spice in the food here. If you are a lover of Mexican food, please don’t waste your time or money here. It’s better to drive a little further to Kileen and get tastier food than to eat crap. If you don’t like Mexican food because it’s too spicy, this is the perfect place for you.

Went here to watch a football game with some bros. they had cold beer on tap and serve it in chilled tall glasses which is good. The food is solid. They have some different types of dishes on the menu. Good place to go to get a hardy meal and a couple beers. Only a small tv at the bar though.

The food was probably made from canned and or frozen. I believe the dishes were made to order, however. The taste was dumbed down for Gringo tastes. I would not go here again considering the other places available.

this was the first place we stumbled into upon arriving to good old copperas cove. its a little hole in the wall mom and pops place(which is good) we went in at 1030 and they were open! they are open at like 6 am for breakfast. kinda old and raggedy on the inside but oh well .the food was pretty damn good ! i got a steak taco and a pork taco and they were both way better than«el chico» in killeen(see my review for that joke of a place). they have a special on tuesdays 2 tacos and a beer for 5 bucks. it was totally worth it! if we ever break our diet we are currently on this may be our go to mexican place!

Its just average mexican food. Portions are small. A little run down. Connected to a shady motel. Staff is friendly but under staffed. Food was okay. I will most likely not recommend this to my friends. The options are endless in the region!

Very good food, very good price. Parking kinda sucks but what’s inside makes up for it. Also have pool tables and establishment is surprisingly big!

I am going to write this review while trying to forget the amazing mexican food I grew up with in LA and San Diego. This was whatever. Not much flavor. Salsa and chips were boring, fajitas were boring, staff was kind of just there… It was whatever. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it. May go back if our friends want to meet there, but I don’t think we’d choose it. I still haven’t found any Mexican food in Texas I actually love. Boo!

We won’t be going back. I was a little off-put by the laziness of the staff not serving what was actually supposed to be on the menu. I actually felt like this was potentially a racial thing but I won’t go so far as to accuse them of that because I don’t know for sure. I just know that we didn’t feel comfortable and felt like we were being slighted for whatever reason. I lived in San Antonio for four years and visited many, many Mexican restaurants where I was the only«Gringo» in the place and I’ve never felt the level of discomfort I felt in this restaurant. I actually felt unwelcome here. It started with the four people behind the counter when we entered who just kind of stared at us and carried into the service we received. The owner of this restaurant my not have this attitude but his/her staff is sending out that vibe and s/he may want to address this if it’s not the intended message. The food was decent and the prices were OK. The service was good however, our server kept disappearing and leaving the other server to cover for her. I don’t know if she didn’t want to be bothered wit us or what. Nevertheless, we got taken care of. I ordered a combination plate which came with nachos. Before the food came out, they came and told me they didn’t have the queso and asked if it was OK to put just melted cheese on top. That was fine(not sure how a Mexican restaurant runs out of queso but OK). When the food came, there was about ¼ cup of melted cheese on ½ a platter of tortilla chips. I wasn’t impressed with that. Again, intentional or just laziness? I started looking at the plate and realized that the included guacamole was missing so I had to ask for that. While I waited, the servers were at the window giggling and chatting in Spanish with the cook. What they brought back to me was three slices of avocado and some diced tomato. Apparently the cook didn’t feel like making the guacamole and he thought he’d just let me do it and this was funny to all involved. The green sauce I ordered on my enchiladas had almost a sour taste to it. I’ve never had a tomatillo sauce that tasted this way. I don’t know how they made this sauce but it all but ruined the enchiladas; I didn’t even finish them. As I said, we won’t be going back because of the way we felt we were treated and the underlying attitude that went with it. We don’t know what the intention was, but I shouldn’t have to feel that uncomfortable or put up with laziness when trying to eat when there are other restaurants that will treat me with respect.

Not bad, had the lunch menu enchiladas and wasn’t disappointed. I felt like I got my money’s worth. I’m definitely going to come back and try the breakfast menu.

I miss this place. I used to eat here almost daily for breakfast. The chorizo, egg, and potato breakfast tacos are the best I’ve ever had and the salsa was perfect. One day, I shall return…

Everything about this place is average. I ordered a taco salad, my wife ordered chicken fajitas and my brother ordered borritos. The salsa was just ok and we had to ask for refills for both chips and salsa several times when we ran out. I thought the taco salad was a bit small. The food just did not impress me at all. There are much better Mexican restaurants to eat at in the Killeen area.
