Ok, there was so much wrong with this place I have to go by days or it will just be a jumbled mess. Before we start let me say I’m used to child CARE not just being in the same room. My boys are 4 and almost 2. Day 1: I walked in and immediately started sweating. I asked if the air conditioning was broken and they said«no» that they haven’t turned the A/C on yet. it was like 10am and its Texas in SUMMER! how have they not turned on the a/c? And also, it was really just window units in like 3 places. When I walked in there were like 60 kids watching modern marvels on history and only 3 adults that I counted and it didn’t get any better during the week. They said there were more teachers but I never saw them. The first day, they took the kids to see a movie and said they would take a sack lunch, leave it on the bus and eat after the 10:30 movie. I thought«wow, they GO places! awesome!» and I signed on for the week. Well, the lunch was a hug drink(artificial color, artificial flavor and sugar), chips(fat and salt) and half a bologna and mayo sandwich(eeeww) and they were leaving mayo and meat on a HOT bus for 3 hours and then eating it. Now I dont know about you, but my kids eat ALOT more than that. While I was filling out the paperwork(and wow there was alot) an employee(from what I understood she was a teacher who was late and the bus took off without her) walked in and was told they already left and turned around and left with the door totally open, and the door to the kids room was already open, one could have just run into the street if they wanted. I waited about 10 minutes to see if the woman would come back before I closed the door. When I came to pick up my boys, they couldnt find either one of my kids shoes, they lost my youngest son’s pacifier, and wipes and all 12 diapers I packed in the diaper bag were gone. When I got home and asked my son what they did, he told me they went to the movies then the pool. Well, they never dropped off my youngest who was not supposed to swim and had no swimsuit and my oldest said he stayed in the van while he and the big kids swam. I asked if anyone was in the van with him and he assured me there was not. And they were given no snacks for the day and my son came home RAVENOUS. Day 2: Again, no A/C. When I got there I questioned them about my youngest being left in the van while the older ones swam and was told they had brought him back to the school even though the receptionist said no one came back until they ALL came back. He seemed very upset that I would ask him this and was ALMOST confrontational about it. I also packed a lunch for my kids(a large healthy one) and they seemed really offended about it. I called and asked how the boys were about an hour and a half after I dropped them off. The boys both cried when I left and it was difficult for me to leave with that in mind… I was told the older ones had already gone bowling and had already come back withing this hour and half which is pretty much impossible. At this time, they told me that the younger ones were eating a snack(and by snack I mean a single piece of graham cracker. Like 4 pieces make up one actual cracker and they got that ONE piece. Not enough for my kids). I called back then 2 hours after the first time and was told the older kids just left to go bowling. So someone lied before or no one has ANY idea whats going on. They said the little ones would go swimming after lunch. I called again around 1:30 and was told my little one went swimming and because my older kid could swim, that he could go too. This was not on the schedule and I had not packed a swimsuit for him. They told me that he could just go in his clothes. Pickup: when I went to pick up the kids I was told my oldest didn’t get to go swimming because he didn’t have a suit and he just sat on the bench and watched the others have fun. That’s pretty cruel considering they could have just let him play at the daycare… They never gave him an opportunity to eat his lunch because they were«too busy» . Day 3: realized I just needed to pack the bare essentials and lunch or things will go missing(once again, no A/C) and both boys went swimming. Day 4:(again no a/c) The boys went to the movies again and then went swimming and my oldest had terrible diarrhea and a fever late that night. Day 5: my youngest went for a few hours because my oldest had a fever of 103 and it didn’t respond to Tylenol or ibuprofen and has been throwing up at least once every hour and cant even hold water down. So this day my oldest went to the doctor and after several tests she determined he most likely came in direct contact with feces and managed to somehow get it in his mouth. After the doctors, I picked up my little one and as usual, the whole place REEKED of dirty diapers and fecal matter. All in all, it seems the people here(both the parents and the«teachers») are severely uneducated and no one knows whats going on at any given time.
