Went in a number of times in the past year. Their food is prepared while you wait. Good food keeps bringing me back. Love their Onion Rings when they have them. Not cheap but reasonable given that it is in a ski resort. Yesterday they were understaffed, only one employee working. Why the low rating? They needed more staff to handle orders, clean counter/tables. In the winter when they were busy, orders were misplaced or handed to wrong customers. They run out of product and don’t replenish when needed. Inside seating is getting worn out needs to be replaced.

I agree with most of the reviews, great prices for a quick slope side meal, but don’t expect much out of the hot dogs. I’d even say skip the hot dog completely and stick with the mac ‘n cheese. I had the buffalo chicken and Mediterranean the two times I stopped by during my trip. Both were good, and best of all, I didnt have to sit in a cramped cafeteria style lodge. I would definitely go back, but keep expectations in check.

Came here twice in one week during spring break at Copper because the Mac n cheese is awesome and choices are unique. The service is slow, especially when there’s more than 2 people in line. There’s only one person cooking so you better know exactly what you want. Changing your mind only makes it take longer. Lobster mac was great and the chili and pretzel were too. Will come back again if there’s no one in line.

One of my instructors raved about the mac & cheese here. Supposedly this is also one of the most affordable places to get food at Copper Village. We got a generous cup of bacon cheeseburger mac & cheese for less than $ 7, and it was delicious!

You really can’t beat this place for a good, cheap meal by the slopes. For $ 9.00 you can get a gourmet macaroni and cheese(try the bacon, feta and sun dried tomato, beer or soft drink and a hot dog. The guys that work there are friendly and the view from their window is of the slopes.

Ohhhhh the bacon cheeseburger mac and cheese with added onions — divine! Different varieties of mac and cheese, hot dogs with the fixin’s, and beer. Cheap and delicious. What’s not to like?

Nothing like a bowl of chili on a cold day. The chili cheese fries are pretty awesome too.

I, like many others, was lured here by the $ 5 hot dog deal, and by the fact that there is «Red Hots» in the name. We ordered the special with chili and cheese, which turned out to be a low quality hot dog– not a REDHOT(a delightfully spicy sausage), covered in chili from a bag(I watched him pour it) and some shredded cheese; all of which was lukewarm by the time I got to eat it. Also, I had to wait in line(with only about 4 people in front of me) for about 15 min! Once you order, all they have to do is assemble it, so I’m not sure why it took that long. There are a lot better affordable options on the mountain, steer clear.

You know you’re at a resort when $ 5 for a hot dog and Coors sounds like a screaming good deal. I also couldn’t resist getting a soft pretzel(really I just wanted to the nacho cheese), and parked myself for a midday snowboarding snack. Weather was nice, and we were obviously dressed warm enough to eat on the patio, but that didn’t bode well for the hot food. The dog and pretzel, as well as my precious liquid cheese, all cooled down immediately, and the bun as well as the pretzel were a little too hard in texture, which kind of made them unappetizing under normal circumstances. I ate it all because I was hungry, but probably won’t rush back here on my next trip when more satisfying eats could be had back at the condo with a little planning and a stop at a grocery store. Ultimately it’s a relatively cheap spot on the mountain, but nothing to write home about. The food itself is probably only worth 2 stars, but the prices convinced me to bump it up to a 3.

I was lured here by the tempting offer of a $ 5 beer and hotdog combo. After a morning of burning a jillion calories on the slopes, why not indulge in a little beer and beef? Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but 1) my beer tasted off(and not just ’cause it was Coors Light) and 2) the bun for my dog was hard as a rock. The $ 5 is not inclusive of tax — not that this is a dealbreaker or anything, as you can top off your dog with ketchup/mustard and packets of relish for free, but if you want more extravagant toppings it will cost you. Final verdict — you get what you pay for. As long as you don’t have high expectations here, you’ll be fine.

$ 5 for a hot dog and your choice of a beer or refillable soda right next to the lifts?! Yep at Copper Red Hots. In general they have cheap, tasty eats but the $ 5 deal is what got me in there. They have all the fixins to top your dog with for a little extra as well as brats, fries, onion rings and treats. Altogether we ordered 2 of the $ 5 deals, an extra hot dog and an order of fries. The bill came to under $ 20. My only gripe is my bun wasn’t as soft as I’d have liked. But yep, I’m a fan.

Just spent a week at Copper and I am a fan of this place. Located at the base of the American Flyer Lift in the main Village at Copper, Red Hots offers just what the DR ordered after a full morning of rubberlegged skiing: Hot Dogs. Really, really good hot dogs that beat any dog you’ve had at home or a ball game. After ordering, they take you through a Subway of toppings including all the basics(I’m an onions and relish guy), then if you like, there’s chili and different cheeses. They even have Nacho cheese if you like it that way.(You’re exhausted, knock yourself out) They also have beer on tap. Not a bad place to rest and replenish after a hard morning on the mountain. Final sell: 2 dogs, one beer: $ 6.(Cheaper than two waters in the Lodge)
