I have to say that Coppell does a phenomenal job at maintaining their running trails and parks. I very much enjoy coming out here in the mornings as there’s always folks around and it’s a wonderful environment to get a good workout in. There’s a little duck pond and some nice shaded areas when the weather is balmy. You can venture out into the beautiful surrounding neighborhoods too and really get a good amount of mileage in. I train for full and half marathons year round so I love to keep places like this in my back pocket for when I want to get off the beaten path a bit! If you are in the area or if you just want some time to be one with the great outdoors I highly recommend it. Enjoy, get out there early… and if it’s summertime please hydrate and wear your sunscreen! OK… that’s my PSA or the day.

I love all the parks in Coppell. This play area is great for toddlers and has a restroom nearby. This is also where local soccer teams play.

Great spot to run a few laps! The running trail around all the playing fields is just over a mile — long enough that you aren’t dizzy from all the repetitive rounds, short enough that you don’t feel overwhelmed that you’ll gas out and be too far out! The road running trail that heads around the built in ponds is about 3 miles which is nice to mix up your running. I’d be a little more leary to run this portion by myself after dark, but that’s just me. All my visits here there have been other runners and walkers around the course which provides a little pick me up when you’re dragging ass. :) Overall a really nice little park that I’m happy to utilize for running!

There are three separate sections to this park. I’ve only been to the West section. It has a central building with restrooms and water fountains and what may be a snack store on tournament days. There are baseball diamonds, soccer fields, cement bike paths, lots of lights, ample parking and a cinder block running trail that measures 1.1 miles. Several folks were strolling with pets and we went for a jog. The cinder-block is very forgiving on one’s knees. It was well kept and groomed. People were friendly and despite there being several different groups, the park is so well planned space-wise that it didn’t feel crowded at all. Very enjoyable.
