The location is great for exploring the very northern part of the state, as well as the White Mountains. It is very quiet and the owner is very nice and eager to share his knowledge of the area. The rooms are OK. The bathrooms and showers are uncomfortably small, but this is a former hunting lodge, so that is to be expected. We were surprised that they did not make up the rooms/​bed before we got back to the Lodge at night. I’ve never stayed at a place that didn’t make up the bed each day. Breakfast is satisfactory, but it leaves room for improvement. All said, I would probably stay there again. It is reasonably priced.
