Dined here with three others. We all loved this restaurant! The ambience was pleasant, the restaurant was clean, service was excellent and the food was DELICIOUS! I am a San Francisco Native who has experienced Italian Home Cooking as well as the famed Italian restaurants in North Beach, SF. The tastings tonight we’re spot on authentic! The minestrone soup is the best I ve ever tasted, the eggplant parm small portion was delish and plenty! Everyone else in my party raved about their food and desserts! I will come here to Benetti’s again when I visit the Coo’s Bay area in the future! Bön Apetit!

How did this«restaurant» go from three stars to four? Because for some mysterious reason, all of the low ratings disappeared under the reviews that are not recommended. I’m not sure how this happened, did the owner pay Unilocal to get some of the ratings removed??? The food here is not very good. The sauces are watery, the noodles are overcooked and the bread is soggy. There are never enough wait staff so you are sitting there forever waiting for drinks, food, and the check. I can’t exactly blame the waiters/waitresses because they’re nice and you can tell they are doing their best, but you can blame the manager and owner for never scheduling enough people. The worst thing about this restaurant is the owner. If you write a bad review, he messages you to try to bully you and make you feel bad for speaking your mind. Hey manager, how about, instead of being a shitty person and trying to stifle free speech, you work at making your restaurant better??? DONOTEATHERE. THISPLACEISTHEWORST. TIFFANY sends hate mail. What a bitch. Lol.

I had a Cobb salad which was excellent. Service was quick and the owner even stopped by to say hello. Very nice décor and a great vibe.

Ok. I’ve lived in the area for about a year now and I had not come to this restaurant due to the lower Unilocal ratings. The other day my husband and I found ourselves walking downtown Coos Bay, fumbling around — looking for a place to eat. Our eyes locked on Benettis and we thought«why not?» It seemed like it was worth a try. Overall, I enjoyed the décor and thought the ambiance was nice. Initially I second guessed Unilocal, thinking they had this place rated wrong. Our server was nice enough but it was evident that they were short staffed. It took us FOREVER to get our drinks(alcohol), appetizer, soup, salad, bread and main dishes. They seemed to come out randomly. I enjoyed my wine, the fondue appetizer, soup and salad. My kings salmon however was not great. I did enjoy the risotto but for +$ 21 dish I’d rather spend my money elsewhere. Spouse had the ravioli(he ordered Alfredo sauce but what came out was marinara sauce). We didn’t send it back because we just wanted to eat after our long wait. The ravioli tasted old and rubbery. It was not good. Maybe it was an off day for food, but I do think that the owner should up the staff so service would be speedier. I don’t think we will be back.

Excellent meal and service. We went the day before Mother’s day to avoid the rush. What we didn’t know was there were two festivals and prom Saturday. We have been several times and everything we have tried is great.

Our experiences the last two visits has been poor. The waitress was unfamiliar with the menu and ingredients. The lasagna was very disappointing. The lettuce in the salad was old and discolored. To top it off there was a group with small children seated in the center of the room. The children were allowed to wander around, be very noisy, grab food off another table and crawl under tables banging the glass goblets against the legs of chairs. Amazingly the restaurant staff did not address the issue. We won’t return.

Oh my goodness!!! The BEST steak EVER!!! My husband ordered the peppercorn brandy steak and said that it was the most amazing steak he has ever had(and he is picky about food). He did let me have a few bites and I have to agree. It’s amazing. Super good quality beef with an amazing sauce unlike anything we have ever had. The owner came to our table, very nice man! Everything else was tasty and the service was great. A very nice date night with my sweetie.

Food was excellent but the service was awful. There was a lady that felt that we were being ignored by our waitress so she kept helping us by coming by our table and asking what we needed. But we only saw our waitress 2times. To take our order and give us our bill. The other waitress was the one that brought our food and apologized for the delay. So guess what! Our food got cold. $ 60 for cold food for 2 was quite steep. We had them packed up and left. It was good food after heating it up. It was the service that was not meeting our standards.

Awesome food! I haven’t had a bad meal here. Their minestrone soup is excellent along with the salad and bread that comes with your meal. I had their chicken piccata the last time with mushrooms and capers and wow it was delicious. I’ll be getting that again. The service is great. We forgot to bring our 7 month old something to snack one while we ate. They were kind enough to bring him a little plate of fruit. Thank you!!! If you want good Italian? Check them out!

Amazing meal. I was really impressed with the class and the knowledgeable staff. You are given soup and bread sticks. And the soups is out of this world!

Great meal with an amazing and personable staff. Hostess, busboy, waitress, and every other employee we met smiled and said«Hi.» Although we had to wait 45 minutes, the staff was VERY honest about the wait. I recommend making reservations of you don’t want to wait more then 5 or 10 minutes :) We used the time to walk around the area. Cute shops, a nice pub to play pool, and the water way is close by. We were seated upstairs with a view overlooking the water. I ordered the 3 cheese ravioli with pesto. My husband ordered the«half & half» with lasagna and spaghetti. All three were extremely well made. Very flavorful without being overpowering. We also had the stromboli as an appetizer. Wow. Best I’ve had in YEARS(that I didn’t make myself)! With 2FULL meals(I forgot to mention the amazing soup and salad plus bread) and appetizer, our cost was under $ 40. We left a $ 10 tip. We will come back the next time we’re in Coos Bay. I only regret being to full to try dessert.

Tonight we started out with escargot and a pork belly flat bread for an appetizer. We then had with our meals minestrone soup and a beautiful garden salad. And as a dessert we had Sambuka and cheesecake to top it all off. Our waiterMichael was phenomenal. This is our second time to Coosbay and our second time to this restaurant. Both times we were equally satisfied

Live in town and go here occasionally. Had the seafood fettuccini special tonight. The scallops were clearly sliced into thin medallions — so there was maybe 1 in my whole dish, 3 – 4 shrimp, and lobster? If there was lobster, it was in tiny, tiny pieces. For $ 21 it was severely lacking in seafood… Our server was nice, when we saw him. Ordered an iced tea for $ 2.50, it was empty after I finished my salad, it was never refilled. Water was also never refilled. The waiter did not check in once between dropping our entrees off and bringing the check. And we never received any garlic bread, but no one to ask about that. I really want to love this place… The food was very tasty but over priced, and service is lacking in a big way.

First time I’ve been back in years, since it went down the tubes so badly. It was nice to see the owner helping out again and checking on customers. So since my review a couple of years ago, it’s a bit better. The gnocchi is still not like it used to be. Mine was dry and just had a different texture. Soup was back up to standard yay! Our waitress could use some work. She wasn’t friendly and never smiled. It is nice that they have staff that just fills water and takes plates away. Idk overall though I am still not wowed enough to return. I noticed this place wasn’t nearly as packed as it used to be on weekend nights. Still many empty table which is sad. I’m glad we went back, but for Italian my family will stick with Little Italy. That saddens me because we have such history with Benettis.

Update: I decided to change my review because my visit was a while ago and is not as relevant as newer ones. This place is worth more than one bad server from a couple of years ago. It happens! I’ve been here a few different times. Traditional Italian food with a cozy and intimate atmosphere. It’s a nice place and a good location downtown. Our server wasn’t great, but he no longer works there so you won’t be seeing him there. The owner is very professional and obliging. Really nice guy. After my first review I didn’t want to come back but chatting with him has convinced me otherwise! I hope to try Benetti’s again soon.

We came in at 4 for an early dinner. Dining room opens at 4 and upstairs with a view of the river opens at 5. They also have a happy hour in the bar from 4 – 6 with an interesting variety of items. We started with two glasses of Chianti-mild flavor & very good and Escargot-excellent with wonderful toasts that you dip in the juice. The dinners come with soup, salad & breadsticks. The soup was Minestrone which was full of vegetables and beans with a very rich & flavorful broth. We had the Caesar Salad-made from scratch with anchovies. Very good-even though I am not fond of anchovies. For the entrée, I had the Half & Half with half order of each-Eggplant Parmigiana and Lasagna. My husband had just the lasagna. The entrées were cooked & served in cast iron baking pans n I loved the Eggplant-the cheese was browned beautifully and chewy where it hit the cast iron. The Lasagna had an unusual floral taste that neither of us liked– maybe from a seasoning or wine. My husband said it was ok after the first few bites but I didn’t care to try. We had Panne Cota with chocolate chip biscotti crumbles and berrie with coffee after dinner. The Panne Cota was so good that I almost had to have a moment by myself but I shared. It was delicious! The bill for all-appetizer, soup, salad, entrée and dessert was 72 with the tip. Great Italian food, great view and good price. We will be back.
