Panda Garden Buffet

I’m here in Cookeville visiting from Atlanta and I gotta say, this is probably the best Chinese buffet I’ve ever been to. Would definitely recommend.

OK, I admit to being spoiled, and having really GOOD Chinese… even allowing for it being Cookeville, this place doesn’t come close… there are FAR better places in town. No attention is being paid to the food… Most of the serving trays were empty, at only 5:30 pm, and what was put out was pretty dessicated .
I suggest you give this one a pass, and go further along on Jefferson for far better choices.

Best general tso chicken. Good egg rolls and fresh food. I can honestly say this is one of the better buffets in the southeast. Very good overall.

I have been to both locations, Cookeville and Sparta. many times. At this present moment I would LOVE to have a overfilled buffet plate right about now.
I prefer the white rice and there are so many items that I like I can’t list them all. I do wish they offered Crab Rangoon. They do offer a cream cheese filled won ton that is deep fried similar to Crab Rangoon.
I would have to say the Sparta location is nice and quiet unless a group of loud mouths come in and they need there mute button pushed.
Cookeville location, it seems that the waitresses there are so much more friendly than the Sparta location.
As far as cleanliness this is how to rank any restaurant. Look to see how clean the bathrooms are. If they are nasty then the kitchen will be nasty.

Well, rarely do I write a negative review, but this restaurant completely failed in its service and hospitality during my last visit (which was yesterday afternoon). I have been a patron of this business for many years. It has always topped my list as a favorite restaurant. During this last visit my food was terrible, and the floors were so greasy you could hardly walk. I am still sick today from this eating experience (terrible stomach cramps and upset stomach). The waitresses were not friendly. I am not sure what’s going on with this business, because it’s never been this way before. It’s always been one of the best. I am so disappointed this has happened because I will probably not be back. We were not the only customers having problems when we left. The saddest thing of all is that the staff will not even care that they’ve lost a customer.

Panda Garden is the saddest Chinese buffet experience ever. The restaurant is clean enough, and the service is OK, but we won’t be back.

They have a good selection of dishes, and the food is always fresh. The prices aren’t to bad either. I’m a little biased as this place is a Christmas Day tradition for my family, but it’s good any day of the year.

Good quality Chinese Food at a great price. The bar has always been fresh and stocked with a good variety of selections. I used to be a fan of Mandarin Palace, but I have come to prefer this one over them anymore. The quality of the sushi is more accurate and fresh seems like than Mandarin’s these days.

Great service today. Lunch was good and everything was fresh. Skipped the ice cream area today… no room.
