They have deals going on all of the time. I love the first Saturday of the month when everything is half off, plus Tech students get 10% off with their ID. I have purchased lots of things here. Anything from clothes to shoes to furniture and electronics to household items.

Wow! This is an impressive Goodwill store! Nice and clean, very well organized, and large! If the store was any neater or better organized, I would have mistaken it for a Target.

After reading the other reviews– I asked my husband if we could stop in on our way back from Knoxville. Overall, I wasn’t all that impressed. The thing I thought was the most strange was that instead of the furniture being ½ off with the color tag it had– the workers had marked the furniture down themselves. The goods seemed a bit overpriced to me. It was large and clean, which was a plus.

Largest selection in town. Always something half off. Sunday & Wednesday half off plus 99cent day. Smart card accepted. Great hours. Hard to beat. Needs some competition.

This location is huge. It shares a shopping center with a «Dollar General». It has everything you could possibly think of. There’s a separate room at the back where they store the furniture and appliances. The prices are across the board the same as any goodwill you’ll find. I found a GREAT large frame in excellent shape with a great double mat. I will take out the current print and put in my own. Cost 5.00. Not bad. The place had tons of shoppers and there were 6 registers to check out. So that makes me think the«turn over» must be pretty good.

Compared to the other Goodwill stores around the country that I have been to, this one is LARGE. They have more clothes than anything else, and for being located where it is, it has a great selection with plenty of variety. The furniture isn’t that great, but you never know what you might find if you’re there at the right time. My favorite find here was definitely an old Polaroid camera. $ 5.99!

Cookeville is limited in a lot of ways(no Target, no Red Robin, etc) but having a great resource like Goodwill right here in town is wonderful. This is one of the best Goodwills I have been to, and I have been to quite a few. EVERYTHING is fairly well organized which is something to say for a store as big as this with the volume it deals with. I adore prowling through the sweater and sale racks! My son always finds a decent little toy for about a buck which is way better than the $ 8 for an action figure at Walmart. This Goodwill tends to be a clearinghouse for overstock stuff from Target, I think — sometimes I go in there and there are crap tons of brand new items, all Target brand. One day they had a bumper crop of shoes, including lots of Converse One Star women’s flats; another day they had a huge rack of brand new Avatar: The Last Airbender backpacks, still in the plastic for five bucks. If you are a small size and looking for cute clothes, MAKESURE to check out the childrens and preteen section because some of the cute things get mistagged as children’s.(A former employee assured me that many of the people who do the tagging are unable to read at an adult level or may be visually impaired, so don’t be surprised to find a Donna Karan size 4 skirt in preteens or a women’s sweater in the men’s section.) The furniture section is sometimes lackluster, but it yields enough usable finds that it’s not worth taking a star away. Just go! You’ll find something, maybe not exactly what you are looking for, but hey, if you don’t, go back next week and you might!
