My family just pulled into town yesterday, moving to Cookeville. Fist things first, this morning I took my 8 year old to find the best donut shop in town. I asked the girl behind the counter "how do you make your lattes?" & she said "they do it in the back". I asked, "oh, but is it a push-button machine or do you pull your espresso shots with an espresso machine". She said "I have no idea". I asked, "can you ask someone?". She came back from the back & said "we make them with a machine". I asked, "is the owner back there, can I just ask them?" & she said "yes". She went into the back, came back & said "he said he's busy". Well, that is a loud & clear message. I'll never cross that threshold again. What a genius, running business off to corporate giants, unfortunately Ralph's (which we had been told is the best in town) was closed (Sunday) so we ended up at Dunkin Donuts.

Whoa this place is absolutely my favorite when I’m in town! I will only recommend The Big O Doughnut shop!

Walked in and got a biscuit and a dozen donuts. The store was decorated nice for Christmas although no music was playing at all. The food was actually quite good and would have gotten them a 4 out of 5. What occurred next though was all about customer Svc. Thankfully we were being serviced by someone who cared a little more but initially walking in at 7am they were almost completely out of donuts in the display up front. The person assuring us actually went to the back and got us some glazed. The other representative told the people next to us that they didn’t have multiple types of donuts that they asked for although we know they did bc the other person had just got some for us. Either way lying to customers bc your lazy is ridiculous and next time I would hope at 7am they would have a better selection of donuts!

I’m only giving this place two points because the donuts were good. The gal behind the counter was very rude and short with this. I would not come again if I were in Tennessee.

Sweet Heart Attack! Best selection. Easy to park, unlike the other donut shop. Always fresh!

Donuts are good but I have never got them FRESH. The stuffed ones are good but they have too much filling in them

The Big O has the best variety of filled donuts in town in my opinion. Ralph’s has better non-filled. Instead of dense jam, the Blueberry Filled Donut features jelly that resembles a lighter pie filling

Their donuts were really good and a bit unique(ie a delicious coconut creame). They also make the absolute biggest cinnamon rolls & Apple fritters I have ever seen in my entire life. I wish I could say they were as tasty as they were eye widening. Grossly sweetened coffee. Open 24hrs

Great donuts for a great price. In a college town, that’s all you can really ask for. Nice employee(s) every time I go. Seating is good, and the tables are well stocked. Big O’s is a quality, small town donut shop if there ever was one!

I just want donuts. I just want a place open 24 hours and have free wifi. This place has all of that. I’ve been going to Big O’s for two years, I feel they have the best donuts in town. Never had a problem and the staff is really nice. Just a place to hang out and eat donuts. That’s all I want. Nothing fancy. Just donuts.

I’ll be back! This is an amazing little dive from the outside, but open 24⁄7 near Tenn Tech! Met the owner, he is getting the place whipped into a real nice place!
