The menu didn’t intimidate, prices increased the expectation of a nice meal. Wasn’t to be. Watching the goings on in the kitchen through the glass ceiling was interesting. My girlfriend’s comment of «I wish they were all wearing gloves» turned out to be ominous. The bacon wrapped pork was really good. The salmon wasn’t cooked. The Crème Brule was runny and the espresso was tepid and served without the option of sugar. The most memorable part of the meal was leaving work the next day, violently ill. As both of us were affected, and we split the entrées, I can only speculate. I suspect the salmon. I have had better meals for less in nicer places. Ambiance was nice, décor LA modern. To make the experience worse I managed to leave my hat behind. Locals rave on this place so it is possible I got the off day aberration of a meal. Still, I am inclined to not recommend this place.

I would have given 5 stars, but it took some time to get our food and it was only a sandwich and salad. Very good good

This place is hands down one of the best spots I’ve been to since moving to south Carolina. All of the dishes are amazing. It may seem a bit pricey but I promise it’s worth every penny. From the service, to the drinks, and the amazing hostesses! My favorite«dress up and go to dinner» spot.

First visit for lunch today and the food was excellent and the atmosphere were excellent. Sat upstairs, which I would suggest. It gives you a great view of Conway and overlooks part of the kitchen area. Very cool place inside. I ordered the Shrimp and Sausage with the jalapeño Grit Cake and the Tasso Gravy was very tasty. The wife had the Crab Cake and was very pleased with it also. Will definitely be back and if you are from NMB or MB, pair it will a sunny day walk along Riverfront Park for a great little outing

Extremely disappointed. The service was horrible and the food was disappointing. Not at all what we expected. This place used to be wonderful, but definitely not now.

This is a standout restaurant for any city, much less Conway. While we were in town for work, we ate here 3 out of 5 nights(it was closed the first two nights we were in town). Everything I had was superb. There isn’t one thing I wouldn’t order again. It was a packed house, even during the week. The bar area has several tables that are first come, first serve, so if you can’t snag a reservation, try and grab a seat or table in the bar. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a great selection of wine as well. We dined upstairs one night where it was a bit quieter than downstairs. They also have an upstairs patio area that was closed off due to the colder weather. I imagine it’s the place to be during the warmer months. The fried goat cheese salad is wonderful. Split it with someone else so you don’t get full. I also really enjoyed their take on French Onion Soup. The filet of beef was top notch, along with everything else that came with it. I absolutely loved the Seared Sesame Tuna. Those were my two favorite dishes. Check this place out ASAP!

My favorite place to eat in Myrtle/Conway. Great southern hospitality, spotless and shiny, good drink selection and most importantly amazing food. Always spot on and unique menu for the area. Love the Cajun shrimp, salads, sushi, specials… um everything. Paired with a $ 7 glass of great wine, great ambience = happy person.

I’ve never been so sad I didn’t order Meatloaf. Everyone at our table ordered the blue plate, but I decided to get the Duck Club. When the Meatloaf came out the door, I could smell it. It smelled and looked amazing. My duck sandwich was good, but i was envious of the meatloaf. We came with locals, who couldn’t say enough great things about Rivertown Bistro. With all the stuff at the beach, who would have known on of the best restaurants is in downtown Conway?

The food was excellent and the waiter was awesome! My husband is very picky and orders«out of the ordinary dishes» He likes to substitute a lot of the sides and leave off certain ingredients, etc. 95% of the time his order comes back wrong at other restaurants. But our waiter and the cook staff here were right on spot and we were happy customers. Plan on making many trips back to this great find!

Absolutely mind blowing experience yet again! Hands down the best restaurant on the entire east coast and west coast. Darren you have an amazing staff and a phenomenal menu. The bacon wrapped tenderloin, my favorite dish, the sushi roll, the chicken soup and the cheesecake were out of this world. I am truly an advocate for Rivertown Bistro!!! If there is a way to get Guy Fietti to Conway, it would blow his mind as well!!! Again, thank you for and awesome meal and great service!

Called in a to-go order for the Sesame Tuna while visiting family in Conway. Delicious! The tuna was cooked perfectly and the portion was generous. The cauliflower wasabi mash was tasty. I only wish I could have eaten it there, piping hot. It was room temp til I got it home. It doesn’t look like much in a to-go box, I can imagine its beautifully plated when dining it. Definitely want to go back and try more dishes. Very classy décor and the few staff I spoke to were friendly. Wishing I would have ordered a dessert!

EXCELLENT. Exquisite. Inventive. Casual ambiance with a modern, chic design. Fresh menu of seafood and sushi. The food is always delicious and fresh. The macaroni and cheese cake ball is the greatest thing on the menu, it is so inventive and unique. Definitely a must-go for locals and tourists alike!

Saw the restaurant on Unilocal & I called in for a carry out order & asked the young lady on the phone for her favorite sandwich as I had never dined here before. She recommended the chicken melt and it is absolutely amazing! The mushrooms, caramelized onions, bacon & chicken on a pretzel bun were all perfectly paired. A very good sandwich. The yam chips were great & the pasta salad the best I’ve ever had in my 31 yrs. I actually wish I could get the recipe so I could take it to a BBQ or cookout & impress my family/friends. This has definitely piqued my interest to want to come back for dinner and explore the rest of the menu. Definitely take time to go for lunch or dinner. It’s located in historic downtown Conway which is a very cute area to walk around & shop and eat from the looks of it.(I’m not from here.)

Came here for lunch on a Thursday. Inside has a nice clean and modern look. Our server, Blake, was very enthusiastic and took excellent care of us. I had the sesame seared tuna with mashed cauliflower, soy beans, shiitake mushrooms, and an egg roll. The presentation was great with attention clearly given in the details. Each component of the dish was well prepared with good flavor, but it didn’t quite come together into a cohesive meal, it felt a little disjointed. I still enjoyed the food very much and all of the plates I saw in the restaurant looked really good with nice presentation. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back and try some more items off the menu!

My wife and I were in the conway area. We decided to check out this river town bistro we have heard so much about. The food is great! The location overview the conway historic places. I really enjoyed the place where it was not too quiet and up speed. The place is fresh and up to date. Loved it.

I did not expect it to be this good! This rivals what I have had in Charleston! The Tuna Sushi was fantastic! The fried chicken with fried okra is great southern comfort food. I’m going to get dessert.

What a gem in this cute picturesque town! To be honest, I just needed a quick bite to eat while in Conway for business and co-workers found Rivertown Bistro. The place was truly unexpected!!! My group ordered the hot crab dip for the table. It was absolutely divine with huge chunks of crab. For lunch, I ordered the hot roast beef croissant. The sweet potato chips that came with it were so good. The sandwich was a bit messy with the au jus dip but well worth it! The place has a trendy hip vibe and the décor is fabulous. I’ll be sure to stop by whenever I’m in this charming southern town.

Really first-class food and ambiance. Little olé’ Conway is lucky to have this place. It’s a Charleston-quality establishment, and I mean that in the best possible way.
