This place I amazing! The subs are HUGE and they load them up with a whole lot of steak. We shared an order of Pudge’s chips loaded. We also brought in our own beer to enjoy.

They forgot to put fries in my order. When I called they said I could either come back in(this was not an option because our company had already arrived) or he would provide«complimentary» fries the next time I came in. I said a great option would be that I stopped by the next day for a credit. When I showed up the manager yelled at me «I told you I would come you the next time.» Nicely, I said a comp is something you give away like a free dessert I had already paid for these fries and you didn’t give them so I should get a credit. He said A few curse words to me and then gave the credit. I hope no one does business with this jerk again.

Probably the best hot roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had! Got it with roasted red peppers and cheese with a side of au jus :) boyfriend loved his chicken cutlet sandwich. Staff was so nice and I will be coming back soon!

Truly stunk. Went on a Saturday afternoon, and the roll was crumbly and stale. I don’t care how much meat was on it or how good the meat tasted. A stale roll kills a steak sandwich. I would have respected them alot more had I been told in advance that they were serving stale rolls. But it wasn’t to be. And this was after all the guys in my office raved about Pudge’s. Maybe a different bunch cooks on the weekend, because this bunch sure didn’t give a rat’s ass about what they served. Not going back. Yeah, feel free to contact me, cuz I’m not really done bitching about what a lousy steak you served

Staff is friendly and nice, but the food was not appealing. Ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich and onion rings. The chicken cutlet sandwich was loaded with cheese and frozen spinach, and the chicken was dry and leathery. The sandwich was very greasy. As for the onion rings, they are beer battered and extremely greasy. My bag was soaked with oil. Overall, I was unable to eat most of my food and ended up throwing it away.

Heard good stuff about this place but after a few visits I have to say I am totally underwhelmed. Something as simple as a cheesesteak with mushrooms. Couldn’t they have sautéed the mushrooms a little to add some flavor rather than spoon them out of a can and plop them on the sandwich cold? Slimy, salty, and tasteless. Really ruined the sandwich. It just takes someone caring about food quality to do a better job. Doubt I will be returning. Shame.

Heard a lot of good things about Pudge’s and wanted to try it. I got the cheesesteak, light fried onions, salt, pepper, ketchup, extra cheese. it was stuffed and the onions smelled great! That’s always good but the meat was dry, there was hardly any seasoning and the ketchup and cheese were both on the bottom instead of throughout the meat. I’ll try again, maybe try the chicken cheesesteak to see how that is.

I found this shop listed somewhere as a good source for a cheesesteak and it was easy to get to from my Malvern hotel. I haven’t experienced cheesesteaks from all the well-known places in Philly but this one met all my expectations. The sandwich is huge and the service was excellent. The diner is clean and comfortable. I’d recommend Pudge’s to anyone.

The best buffalo chicken cheesesteak I’ve ever had. I thought that it couldn’t possibly be as good as I remembered it to be, so I gave it about a month and went back. Masterful. Very friendly service as well. Looking forward to stopping back soon.

Pudge’s in a converted dinner. Got their cheese steak which was OK. Lots of cheese but was actually too much. It was like eating a brick, sat in my stomach like a rick. Not as good as the other Pudge’s we have been to. Menu was pretty extensive for sandwich-fare but went for cheese steak because that is what they are known for. Meat was a strange grey brown, did not look like fresh steak. Inside was nice enough but still feels like a diner. Fast, friendly service, waitress was great. At first I was excited to have a Pudge’s locally but it wasn’t that great. Frankly, I’d rather it was still a good diner. Just OK. I’d go back to try something else.

Alright I have to be honest. I really miss the 401 Diner, but having a Pudge’s here is awesome. If you’re looking for a «stuffed to the brim» type cheesesteak, this is your place. I’ve been going to Pudge’s for cheesesteaks my whole life, my dad swears they’re the best! I’ve only ever done take out and it’s been great.

Have ordered more recently and definitely an improvement. Very large sandwiches and no mistakes recently. Yay!

Pudge’s is within walking distance of our place so we we had high hopes that this could be our next go to spot. We were sadly mistaken. Stopped in for lunch, ordered onion rings, custom grilled cheese and roast pork sandwich. The reason this place is getting two stars instead of one is the staff. Both hostess and waitress were great. Onion rings came first and they were pretty good. No complaints. Grilled cheese was tiny with hardly any bacon or tomato and for $ 7.50 I expected my sandwich to be packed with extras. I could have made a better one at home. Boyfriends pork sandwich was dry and lacking in the meat to bread ratio. Overall disappointing and we will not be back. Wishing pudges would go back to a diner with good food!

Pudge’s location in Conshohocken has more of a diner feel than a deli. I stopped in for lunch one day during the week and had their special italian hoagie. It was a typical sandwich from Pudge’s huge and stuffed full of meat. I would stop in again but I like the Blue Bell Location better.

Not a winner. My fiancée and I went to this restaurant to grab a quick bite last night. The food was good. The rolls were fresh, but the service was terrible. We ordered french fries as a side and they came out 20 minutes after our sandwiches. They also put tomatoes on my fiancée’s sandwich and when we brought it to the waitresses attention so promptly whisked the sandwich away and didn’t bring it back for 20 minutes. Really… How long does it take to deconstruct and then reconstruct a sandwich? They could have gotten it right the first time but we have a hunch that was because our waitress didn’t write a single thing down when taking our order. Your memory might be great, but our meal was ruined by the communication between the servers and the kitchen. To top it off, when we were checking out we saw a poster indicating that you could get free fries if you checked in at the restaurant. We definitely would have checked in had we known and had $ 3 knocked off our bill. A mention of that would have been nice from our waitress. Not that they had any time to talk to us when they were ringing us out or ask how our meal was… They gossiped the entire time with each other instead of giving us the time of day. The only way we will get food from Pudge’s again is if it’s takeout. Not putting up with the shenanigans of the staff again.

Good greasy spoon. Sizes are large and prices are reasonable. In the land of the cheesesteaks, Pudge’s is a strong competitior. Definitely worth checking out.

I cannot knock this place its nice in the dining area the tables are cool the staff is helpful and attentive seems like they has some opening night jitters but they se to have worked out the kinks there is olenty of free parking around here and table service which is cool for a cheesesteak joint tje menu is decent but seems like the prices ar a little high I ordered a cheesesteak with onions and had half wrapped for later the sandwich is huge but the cheese is in the bread so ot must be eaten like a sandwich i like to knife and fork a jumbo like this. Try the chips, they come warm to the table with this creamy herb sauce like Taziki but light, a must try. Overall this is a good place for Consh, not great like Tony Luke’s but pretty good expect a soft roll the necessity to add salt and catsup and you’re home free!

This place is new to my local stomping grounds so I thought it was time to give it a try. You will definitely not leave hungry from Pudge’s, and I assure you you will not be able to do the Pudge’s Challenge unless you’re okay with your stomach exploding! I would even recommend just getting 1 steak sandwich and sharing with another person, but if you are like me you look forward to delicious leftovers. I thought that their cheesesteak was overall ‘okay’. I have had better flavored meat for a steak sandwich, and I would have liked much more cheese than what was put on my sandwich. The roll was excellent and stood up pretty well because they do not short you on the amount of meat, however I have a few places that I will still consider better than Pudge’s. I would not necessarily tell someone not to go there, but I would not tell them to expect anything extra special about their steak sandwiches. Overall you get plenty of food for the price, and the staff was very friendly and thankful for my business.
