Was looking forward to dining at Isabella for its delicious food and cool bar. After making reservations and driving all the way there, we were met by a locked door and the chairs still stacked on the tables inside. Apparently this restaurant is closed but still accepting(and confirming) reservations on Opentable. It’s not only a shame that they closed but also quite inconvenient that they have yet to tell anyone. Their voicemail makes no reference nor is there is a sign on the door advising that they have closed. This left us, and a few other confused diners with reservations, to find another place to eat on a Friday night.

I can only speak to their HH(as I haven’t in the restaurant in about 2 years), but I was thoroughly impressed. They do ½ priced drafts from 5 — 7 p.m. and have a pretty good beer selection to choose from. They also offer a number of small plates that are in the $ 5-$ 6 range. My date and I shared the Truffle Fries and Mussels. The fries were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The mussels were even better! I asked our bartender for bread to dip in the sauce because it was so good. Both female bartenders that we had were very attentive and on top of things. Our drinks were always full and we were taken care of from start to finish. The bar and restaurant both got busier as the night went on, so I would suggest a reservation if you are planning on dining here. All of the menu items sounded great, and I will be sure to go back.

My boyfriend and I were excited to try a new spot. We called and made a reservation about an hour and a half before we got there. When we arrived they realized they never put our reservation in the computer, so we stood in the doorway waiting for 10 mins. We were finally seated and ignored for a solid 15 mins until someone finally asked us if we were being helped. My drink was really good(cucumber martini), and the mussels were good– that’s why they’re getting 2 stars. I ordered the brick chicken and my boyfriend ordered the Kobe burger– both of which were super burnt. I felt like I was eating the burnt turkey from Christmas Vacation. He ordered some asparagus with egg thinking it sounded really good– but jk it was like microwaved dry ass asparagus with a hard boiled egg on top. Our server didn’t check on us once. I was a server and bartender throughout college and I always give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, so maybe the chef called in sick or they were understaffed out front, but if you end up going here get like a flatbread or something– can’t really f that up.

After waiting 35 minutes beyond our reservation time, we were seated and then ignored for 10 minutes. When finally attended to, we were told that half the items on the menu weren’t available because the menu was being changed the next week. We finally ordered a few items that were available but our drink order was forgotten and we had to go to the bar and order for ourselves. Needless to say, there was no hope of getting a second drink. The food arrived, delivered by a harried waitress we had never seen before, who didn’t know who had ordered which dish. The food is acceptable; no better. The service and operations are so amateurish that it makes for a very unpleasant experience.

Isabella has great food and even better service. The flatbreads are delicious. The vodka infused drinks are really good. We have our work holiday party here every year and the manager lana is fantastic. You won’t be disappointed.

Can it possibly take ½ hour to get the Happy Hour Mussels with only 7 people in the place??? YES! The chef was chatting with the owner at the bar while I waited and waited and waited. After ½ hour and 2 requests for my food, the dish came out, no bread, no butter, and 20% of the mussels empty. This is not my first bad meal and service issue here.

Since I arrived fashionably late for this dinner, there was a Mediterranean Flatbread already on the table(quite the warm welcoming). It took me a solid five minutes to scour the amazing menu, and we(as a group of four) decided to share several items. We started with the Insalada Isabella and Iceberg Wedge(the wedge was fantastic), and had two orders of grilled octopus come out soon. When I say that the octopus was the best thing I’ve eaten in months, I am not kidding, and I am not lying when I say I could eat that dish every single day. For main courses, we shared the Filet, Grilled Langostinos, and Gnocchi. There was not a single weak dish amongst the three, and it was enjoyable passing all three around for sampling(may have come my way several times). The Filet was cooked well, and the spinach really paired well with the meat. The Langostinos may have been a smaller portion than I was expecting, but that saffron rice was delicious. Finally, the Gnocchi — was a fine, fine dish. I need not say more, except it’s the perfect dish for a chilly night. Having a funny waitress and a couple of bottles of Sean Minor Cab didn’t hurt the experience here, and I look forward to my next visit here(if I ever make it out of the city again).

I was very disappointed in our meal last night. Ever since they have a new chef and menu the food has steadily declined. My wife and I went a few weeks ago and had a less than desirable dinner. Since we used to love going here we thought we give it one more chance last night. However, the food was inedible. The flatbread was almost cardboard like and less appealing than a frozen pizza from the supermarket. The food came out less than warm and my scallops even though they were tasty were a little bit on the cold side. Until they get a new menu or chef they have lost us as patrons. Such a shame since the atmosphere pricing and location is perfect for us. Hope the owner takes heed to this review and others like this to fix a once fantastic place to meet for dinner and drinks.

I was excited to try out the new chef, and we were completely underwhelmed! First of all, the bartender took about 20 minutes to take our order. And about three asks to receive water from a different bartender. Not only that but she blew her nose as she was serving us our food– yuck. The salad was fine, nothing special. The fig flatbread was awful. It was SO salty… we literally were biting into salt crystals. The bartender tried to explain to us that it was coming from the gorgonzola cheese. Trust me, I know what gorgonzola cheese tastes like… yes it is satly the last time I checked gorgonzola didn’t = salt crystals. We also ordered the eggplant which we sent back immediately. It was completely fried in a layer of dough and there was only a piece of eggplant that resembled a worm underneath all the dough and grease. In good news, the Israeli wine was great. But sadly, the restaurant isn’t a winemaker from Israel to my knowledge.

We were seated at the table right next to the door. We really felt the freezing cold air each time the door was opened and it was in the low 40’s. We both had the Romaine Wedge salad topped with Gorgonzola crumbles, bacon bits, red onions and grape tomatoes. The romaine was a bit wilted, other than that the salad was nothing special. The Seared scallops were served on top of a bed of Fava bean purée and garnished with sprouts. There were four scallops and two were quite thin but were tasty. The skirt steak was grilled nicely and the sangria sauce was delicious. The steak was a tad fatty though. Service was slow but the atmosphere was vibrant. Will probably return to try the cheese board(saw it on the table next to us).

We’ve gone there many times over the years, but heard that there was a NEW menu! Its pretty awesome, all the tapas was really good, had a sangria that was good too! A little sweet for more than 1, but overall loved this menu much more than the previous one! Great Job! Highly recommend:(Tapas) Meatballs, Pepper, empanada, chirizo! Flatbread: Fig one was good, but very rich, I could only eat 1 slice! Service was good too!

I recently moved to Conshohocken and Isabella was recommended by a friend. My boyfriend and I arrived for our reservation and were promptly seated. When we asked about happy hour specials, our waitress informed us that they were only available at the bar and high top tables. located two feet from us. It seemed a little ridiculous, but we moved to a high top table to partake in the discounted drinks and tapas. The happy hour special is half price beer, some wines and well martinis. Beware. the«well» vodka is Banker’s Club. If you want to wake up with a hefty hangover, then go ahead. Its bottom shelf – about $ 5.00 a fifth at the store. Can they not spring for Smirnoff or Skyy at least? I digress… I didn’t participate in the happy hour drinks. The drink I ordered was fantastic; the bartender did a great job. We ordered four tapas: Hummus, Empanada, Ceviche, and Calamari. The hummus was good, but the pita bread that was brought with the hummus was stale. When asked if she could bring more bread for the hummus, she brought us dinner rolls… The empanada was the best thing that we had, in my opinion. My only complaint is that the menu said«empanadas» insinuating that there were more than one. Other than that, it was delicious. The Calamari was only okay. It comes lightly breaded, but it wasn’t crispy, so maybe a tad under cooked, which is better than over cooked. It was brought to us in a bowl with no sauce, marinara, nothing to dip it in. The Ceviche was by far the worst. The«ahi tuna» was brown. I’m no «ahi tuna expert» but I have eaten well over 50 times and it has never been brown. I will try this restaurant again. According to the waitress they recently started serving flatbreads and I would like to give those a try.

It’s a great spot for date night with someone special! They have a lot of great wines and change up the specialty cocktails every once in a while. I always try something new and am never disappointed. The servers are great and keep an eye on you without being overbearing. The only reason for 4 stars is the owner. First time we came, he sat next to us and was just incredibly rude and arrogant. He made the recommendation to try the steak then made inappropriate comments when I told him I don’t eat steak(I’m Hindu). He made rude comments about my boyfriend’s job, when he wasn’t ignoring him completely. He seemed very misogynistic and sexist, especially talking about some of the women in the restaurant. Since then, we have made it a point to avoid the owner when he’s in the restaurant, which have been great experiences.

I was on my way back home and got hungry for some Mediterranean. I didn’t think much would come out of my visit to this place from what I read on Unilocal but I was wrong. The appetizers were great and the seafood paella was okay. I didn’t like the scallops too much but everything else was just fine. I didn’t mind the décor too much either. They do seem to have some regulars so I’m sure it’s a popular spot around here. The service was okay but they were busy. So I won’t complain much but the food was good. That’s what the matters the most in my book.

First the bartender LANA made first a white sangria that was so smooth and amazing I had two. Them she made me a s’more martini(see pic) that was the most amazing drink I’ve ever had. Then French fries is truffle oil. Hello I’m moving in then I had a pizza it was perfectly cooked, seasoned and I get to take some home for Tomo. This is my new place I just wish it was closer. A friend sent me in and wow she was right. Amazing all around. I hear they are redoing the menu next week. Can’t wait to come back and try the new stuff. 5 stars from me
