Service seems way faster than when I came here as a kid. Probably could use more outdoor seating though.

As I was googling the hours of this DQ, this YEKP site came up and I found it hard to believe that anone had anything negative to say. Their ice cream treats are always fresh. The place is clean. They work hard to reduce your wait and I think it is an excellent Dairy Queen. AND they have a drive thru– greatest DQ ever. SD Shaheen

Dairy Queen is Dairy Queen. It’s not high class ice cream but it’s what you want sometimes. Our cones were melting at the get-go — before they were even handed to us — but that’s not my issue. This place is an inner city flattop of asphalt and concrete placed in suburbia. On a hot summer afternoon, it’s a real test of your need for something cold and sweet, to come to this urban oven. How about planting a few shade trees? Can we not find some tables that aren’t made of concrete, and maybe ones with umbrellas over them?

It must be tough finding kids to work here(because you need them most — on weekends, and when the weather is nice). But if you’re gonna work — work. Take the iPod out of your ear and act like a professional.

I guess the other reviewer’s issue should be with the DQ website, but this place isn’t so bad. It’s a Dairy Queen… The thing to know before going is that after a certain time of the evening, I’m going to say about 9, 9:30(but it could be later), they only allow drive-thru orders. This is probably for the safety of the workers(although, we’re talking Conshy… so…I dunno). Whenever I’ve been, and it’s always been during drive-thru only hours, they never give us lids. Ever. With anything. I usually get an Oreo Brownie Earthquake(so good) and J usually gets a Blizzard. Neither comes with a lid. But, you can’t eat inside and I’m not about to just sit in the parking lot and eat. So, we drive home with two melting ice creams that have no lids. GIVEME A LID. That’s one of those things at the drive-thru that I shouldn’t have to request.

The DQ website lists a bunch of special features available at this location. At the bottom of the list, it includes«temporarily closed». We found this out the hard way, and went to Wawa next door instead. Scoops will be open soon.
