Waffle House

A Waffle House is a Waffle House and this one is more-​or-​less typical, but I must say that it is clean and staff (on all 3 of our visits to date) are always both prompt and friendly.
Perhaps I am weird (my daughter often says I am :() but I have never had a waffle at the Waffle House since I am a waffle snob and only want REAL Belgian Waffles and I am picky about them too!
I always order the same thing — steak and eggs, steak medium, eggs over easy with hash browns and then either wheat toast or (last night cinnamon raisin toast) — all for less than $ 10 and steak sauce at the ready. The coffee (bottomless) is decent and now they have Splenda not just Sweet and Low (nasty) I am a truly happy camper.
Would move to 5 stars if they added the «tacky» Jukebox with Waffle House songs like some of them have in the South East (Georgia for instance). Woohoo

Good price, food was cooked perfectly, fast service. Much better than service I have had at other waffle houses.

Food was fresh and waitress staff friendly. Had their all star breakfast and it consistent with all other waffle houses. Jess was our waitress and she was friendly and witty. If you need a good breakfast o would suggest you try it at once.

Don’t complain about the food or the service or the help will yell at you. You can go anywhere to get bad service, go to this Waffle House to get abused and then abandoned at your table. Avoid this restaurant like the plague

It’s waffle house, what can you say? The cook was very nice and helped get a few things for me while the waitress was busy.
I was passing through the area and am not form there, and and the waitress was genuinely nice to everyone and had conversations with every single table except myself. She was noticeably colder to me, and my only guess is because I was an «outsider» and not a regular there. Not a great experience.

I woke up with a hankering for a waffle. There is a Waffle House that I pass every day on my way to work so I resolved to drop in for a waffle.
I assumed that if the word «waffle» is included in the name of your restaurant, that implies that you serve up some delicious waffles.
This Waffle House serves up waffles very much like the ones my dear old dad used to make when I was a kid.
We never really ate them.
Mostly we used them for door stops.
If you want to EAT a waffle, I suggest you look elsewhere.
If you want a good, reasonably priced door stop that resembles a waffle, the Waffle House is the place to go.

We loved it. Can’t agree with a one star. I wish San Antonio had a Waffle House.
There waffles in my opinion are the best I have ever had. Not no funny after tastes. The fruit is probably best with the double portion to it. And it’s cooked inside. Who would of thought?! Best wishes to Waffle House I hope they prosper. The waitress we had for each day that we ate there was the best ever!

It’s a Waffle House, so the food is just the same as any other. This rating is for the employees. Eggs are kept in a basket above the grill. Eggs are to be kept at 45 degrees or below and taken out as needed. There’s also a scoop for ice that Mary forgot to use as she scooped a cup into the ice bin. Another no-​no. Then there was the taking customers’ leftovers and putting them on a plate for some unknown reason. I wish I would have stayed around to see why. Eat here at your own risk.
