I tried the burger, fries and drink. The burger and fries were ok, nothing to get excited about. The drink was large which is something you hardly get anymore. I’ll try again and order something different as recommended by some reviewers. Maybe I can give a better review at that time.

This is the best place in Conroe for a burger and shake! A double bacon cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, and a large drink for under $ 10!

This place is a hole. But the food is great. I had the buffelo chicken sandwich with fries and a drink. The portions are out of control. U get a big sandwich and larger fries w a mammoth drink. I didn’t try the shakes but the way others were ordering them I suspect they are as good as the food.

I like this place. Nondescript, unprepossessing looking. My favorite thing here is the Chicken Lewie, a grilled chicken sandwich featuring melted cheese, grilled onions and jalapeño flavored ciabatta bread. I like the shakes, too. The people have always been nice to me, and there is a pleasing ethnic mix to the clientele. The secret to getting the best out of this place is to get something unusual here, not just the regular burger and fries. They have a really wide menu– get a weird flavor of shake and one of the ciabatta sandwiches some genius came up with. Not where I go for a non-chain burger– there it’s MacKenzie’s.

Very good food. Fresh tasty and filling. The onion rings were wonderful. Small hole in the wall but the service was fast and free refills on sodas if you done in

Good food for a hole in the wall kind of place. I like their burgers and my boyfriend likes their shakes a lot. I like to eat there because there’s usually no one in the dining area late at night. But if you prefer a pristine environment to eat in, you should probably take out.

I’m a big fan of getting burgers at little shack places. We ordered 3 burger combos and it was over $ 30 needless to say that their fries needed salt and their burgers felt like they were just frozen pattys thrown onto the grill. I was extremely disappointed its way too over prized for their burgers. never going there again.

Good greasy gut bomb burger. Fries were perfect. The banana shake had real bananas in it. We got an excellent butterscotch malt. The staff is super friendly. Another reviewer said the location was sketchy. It’s less than a quarter mile from the courthouse. Not really sketchy just small town.

After trying other things, this place gets another star. Definitely good stuff! My fave is a big ol order of chilli cheese fries. Very tasty and filling. Also had fried catfish, which they«nuggetized» for me so I could eat in the car easier. Chocolate shakes are tasty business as well! This place will be so on my hit list if I switch back to carbs!

Dining options in Conroe are limited. Burger Fresh was the talk of the town at one point after their vaunted Texas Monthly status, but their quality has fizzled out. Many of the locals kept suggesting Burger Boy on E. Davis as the best in town. Time to find out. My first encounter here, we drove up to the restaurant located on 105 across from the new Fiesta. Place looks pretty rundown and my wife refused to get out of the car. This next time, I went by myself. Definitely your proverbial hole-in-the-wall grease joint. Everybody in the restaurant is very friendly. They have a rather large and respectable menu offering a wide range of items beyond just burgers and fries. Chicken fried steak, gyros, pork chop sandwiches, I didn’t know where to begin. Opted to try out a cheeseburger to see if they can do a simple burger right. While waiting for my food, the décor is pretty divey. Reminiscent of an old Dairy Queen from the 1960s. Food comes out quickly. Before me, behold, a nice looking burger with greasy buns. This doesn’t look healthy, and dammit, it shouldn’t be. The patties aren’t thick, but has a nice crumbly texture to it. Topped with cheese, onions, lettuce, and mayo, looks and smells good! One bite into it and I’ve found my new favorite burger in Conroe. The meat is nice and juicy. Has good flavor. While the greasy bun was a nice touch, it was still a bit dry and could’ve been better. Overall, it’s a fine burger. And the hot curly fries to go with it, so nice, crispy, and delish! I forgot to mention, the burgers here are dirt cheap! I can’t remember when was the last time I paid less than $ 10 for a burger! Move over Burger Fresh, I’ve found a new fave in Burger Boy! Can’t wait to try out more of their menu. Worth driving from Houston to eat this? No. But a great option if you’re in Conroe and hungry.

Yikes! I pulled in here due to the 4 star reviews. As someone who does a lot of burger comparison, this place made me want to love it, it’s a hole in the wall in a sketchy area, perfect foundation for a hidden gym. The veggies are fair, buns are ok, but the hamburger meat is plain frozen meat cooked on a silver grill, leaving it both watery and tasteless. No seasoning, not even salt. Same with the fries, I ordered chili cheese fries, same thing, chili was just plain bad, tasted watered down somehow. Simply seasoning their burgers would change the entire flavor profile. But even then, I probably won’t be back since the Original Superburger is right around the corner in Willis, a top 5 for the entire Houston area. It’s just not in the same league. I wish them the best, but my overall opinion was — meh…

They have a very large menu and all I tried was a burger and fries. As for the quality of ingredients I would say that they were a solid«Mediocre».

This place is mad cheap and greasy and delicious. Yeah, the business is running out of a little shack, no big deal. Extensive menu. I don’t think the shakes/ice cream are anything too special but the rest of the food is pretty good!
