I love this place. I’m so glad it is near my house. Great service, great food. No complaints.

Food is great! I did To-​go good but had shrimp cocktail at the bar! Its tex-​mex and good!

We had a great experience here. The salsa was good, the margaritas were excellent and the dinners we all ordered were delish! A lot to offer in the menu, Any combo plate you can imagine. I had a taco an enchilada and beef fajita meat combo, which was all delicious. We also liked the baked chips that came with the queso. I would recommend this place !!

Food was great. Service was excellent. Highly recommend the frozen strawberry margarita. It gets STRONGER as it thaws. So good!

So impressed with this restaurant! In Conroe for the weekend for a wedding, so by this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, waiter was friendly and attentive. Food… So many options and what we ordered, delicious! Fajitas, stuffed chile poblano, chicken flautas… Sadly we didn’t have room for one of their desserts. Awesome place

I will never ever come here ever again very unprofessional they made a mistake on my ticket ask to speak to a manager and he got the bar tender to come with him I wasn’t even drinking he had nothing to do with that it was between me and the waiter he tryed to fight me I wasn’t even trying to fight I was explaining to him the ticket was wrong food was ok but the service was horrible I don’t recommend this place to anybody the manager does not deserve his position especially after he try to intimate me with the bartender with tattoos

The star is because no stars are not an option. It’s not for the food or the waiter’s service. It for the lack of customer service by the manager or waiter.
We have come here to eat dozens of times since moving to the Conroe area. I come here with coworkers after work, we bring our kids here, we really like this restaurant. This makes me sad. There aren’t too many good Mexican restaurants in the area. We will go to The The Woodlands or even into Houston, but this place is good. I am very sad we were treated this way.
I posted a picture of a VIP discount card that the manager wouldn’t let us use tonight. She said it was because we already got a «good deal» for the fajita «special». Never Mind that there is nowhere on the card that excludes that. So we asked to at least throw us a bone and discount the coke my wife ordered. She wouldn’t. I know that may sound like nitpicking but anything is nice and it was least they could do since they screwed us over on the discount card. So they lost a loyal customer. We live about a mile away and eat there often. Until now. So even if we didn’t get the discount from the card, they are willing to lose customers for about $.50. Unbelievable.

The service was very slow, after we were seated we waited 10 minutes before they took our order, which should have been sooner since they were just standing around. We even looked at them several times to get them to come over, but we still waited. The food came out in a timely manner but the enchiladas were flavorless and among the worst I’ve ever tasted. After our meal we waited another 10 minutes and finally had to go up to the front to get our waiter’s attention to provide us our check. It wasn’t busy or anything, he was just waiting around and even looked and walked by us several times but never checked on us. Once he brought us our check he waited for us to pay by which we paid cash and only gave him what was on the check with NO TIP. Don’t waste your time, there are better Mexican food places in the area.

When we walked in, there were flies around the desserts that were on display. That should’ve been the warning sign that made us turn around and leave!
We were sat down, the waiter was nice, took our order, messed up one order and so we weren’t able to eat same time.
The food was very bad and over priced. Someone said «I’ve never had beans that were so bland.» Another took one bite of her main course and left it on the plate. No one in my party finished their meal, or even close to half of it. The price was $ 60 for four people with two sodas and we all left hungry.
The only good part was that no one got sick afterwards.

We decided to try Mama Juanitas last night. I have been there one time before and wasnt to impressed but it was a very long time ago.
The restaurant is really cute decorated nicely, festive colors. We were seated in a room off of the bar area. Our server Juan promptly came over and took our drink order. Another server brought the traditional chips and salsa. The salsa is served hot (as in temperature) which im usually not a fan of but my husband likes it like that. To us it really didnt have any flavor. No spiciness at all.
There menu has alot to choose from but being a fan of seafood i always check out that sectiom first. On the poster in the front it said to check out their new lemon shrimp. It looked good so i read the description in the menu and when i saw «shrimp in a spicey garlic lemon sauce» i had to have it.
Husband got some kind of chicken with peppers and onions cheese and shrimp on top.
Our food arrived really fast my plate looked totaly different from what was on the poster up front but it looked good. It had a generous amount of shrimp so i was happy about that since 17.99 is kinda high for a plate at a Mexican restaurant. But it was amazing! !!! The shrimp were delicious no weird taste like alot of places have. They were fried in a batter then the sauce was poured over so the breading was soft but it soaked up the garlicky, lemony, buttery goodness! It was really great.
My husband said his was average not anything special. His plate was 16.99
The blue margaritas were very good also! Our server was very attentive so that always makes the meal better.
I have to say i was very impressed and im sad that i havent been comming here more often. But i will now lol.

Food was not good & the service was even worse.

We enjoy grabbing dinner and drinks in the bar. Luis is an excellent bartender and server. Any dish with «fajita beef» is top notch. Other dishes are good, but not exceptional. The prices are fair and service is good. We are regulars now.

Kids eat free Sunday! Great food and great service. Nice atmosphere. I had the shrimp enchiladas and they were very good. Last time I had the ground beef crispy tacos. They were tasty and not loaded with salt like some restaurants make their’s. We will definitely be back again!

By & large one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The atmosphere is great, the staff is on point & attentive. The food is absolutely amazing, as are the salsas & jalapeños. This is now my favorite restaurant.

Terrible experience tonight at Mama Juanita’s. We walked in and were seated promptly. From here it was downhill. The queso with meat looked like it came from Taco Bell with less flavor. Then we ordered our entrees, she ordered the 3 Amigos which is comprised of a cheese enchilada, a tamale and a chicken flauta. It also comes with guacamole, rice and beans. The enchilada was decent, the rest was flavorless and the guacamole was green paste. I had the «Special» ribs and beef fajitas. As with everything else I tasted, it was bland and poorly cooked. I assume they were trying to make the food temperature so hot to mask the lack of actual flavor.
Then we got our check and had to go to the bar to pay for our food since we waited 10 minutes at the table. I didn’t mention the staff party that was starting so the music was blaring and we got locked in.
We will never be coming here again, and we will share our awful experience!

I just moved to TX last month. But this place had the best food since ive moved in. I was extremely satisfied woth the food, service, and environment. Plus its only 5 mins from my house.

Walked in… not even a hello, acknowledgement or a fuck you. Once seated the chubby girl walked away the server walked up and said «drink?!» We ordered and moments later another person comes out and slams the chips and 2 salsa bowls down and walks away. Is this the «good service» everyone has been raving about? also the google reviews are almost a year old… maybe they changed management or something. You only get once chance to make a first impression… and this was ours. Never going back again! Btw…1 star is too high of a rating for this place. Not ro mention the girl seemed amused that we wanted to see the manager to complain about their poor customer service skills.

Salsa was served warm, and had a nice flavor. Boyfriend asked if they had anything hotter. Yes, they do. It’s called atomic. It’s 75 cents and will set you on fire.
We got queso and added taco meat. The «small» was larger than we needed. Good flavor with the meat added.
I got combo fajitas. The beef was really good, chicken was average. I didn’t like the rice at all. Tortillas were yummy though.
He got a large charro soup. It was huge. Like, no kidding, enough for 3 meals. He said it was okay. He’s had better, but it was okay.
Service was great. It was a Sunday afternoon, and we sat in the bar area. Laura Y. was busy, but we never felt ignored.

On vacation to visit family, we trudged through the rain and into Mama Juanita’s. We were promptly and politely seated and offered libations. I ordered a margarita cuz it’s what you do!
The margarita was strong, and fantastic. Just how I like it. The chips and salsa were a’plenty as well. Fresh, hot, yummy. The salsa is divine. Just spicy enough and delicious.
I ordered the Fish Ixtapa. Snapper, stuffed with shrimp, spinach, cheese, and topped with an amazing cream sauce. Accompanied by rice and beans. It. is. DIVINE!
It tasted fresh and really great. I would order it every single time. It’s a bit pricey at $ 19.99 but worth every single penny.

Lunch special totally hit the spot!!! I decided to have a quick bite here with a co worker and got the fajita steak taco and enchilada lunch plate, which came with refried beans and mexican rice! YUM. It’s been a while since I’ve had mexican food since I had a bad food poisoning experience recently. Mama Juanita’s totally made up for it – the food tasted and looked fresh!
Tip: Ask for their special hot sauce that they make there. I wanted to ask them if I could buy a bottle full of it!
