HalfTime Sports Pub & Grill

When we first moved here we were excited to have a pub open within walking distance. When they opened the inside was dark and brown. Something about the color scheme and set up didn’t work. They did not have good selection of beer to me (We like craft beer including beers outside of Texas crafts). We came again because it had been about 1.5 years since our initial visit. I was happy to hear that it is going to be the new Tailgators as the old one closed. It has the Tailgator vibe too. While it wasn’t my favorite it has a couple of things going for it (to me). The location is great, they have dart boards, they plan on expanding their beer selection and they will be offering the Tailgators wings! That in itself makes me happy. Hope they can keep it clean.

I was a little hesitant to try this place because of the reviews. But my husband and I stopped here on Thursday when there was bad traffic on the 242 and again on a Saturday, and it was great both times. Great service, friendly people, just enough of a crowd to not feel empty. Much much cheaper than drinking anywhere else around here! Apparently it recently came under new managers — I think I heard someone from the old nearby Tailgators bought it and want to make it a similar type of place? Not sure. Anyway, we had beers and cocktails both times. They have crawfish and lots of people were getting that, and it looked good ($ 4.99/lb). Their full kitchen isn’t set up yet but is planned to open in the next few months — they have a limited menu right now (but fine — burgers, nachos, fajitas, sandwiches, and crawfish). Overall a great, friendly and fun place to hang out. They have several large TVs and many games (pool tables, darts, some slots and video machines). It would be more fun with more people, so all you folks who used to go to Tailgators here before it closed, come on in and let’s make this place hopping! Cheap and fun! P. S. Came in. Sat down for 20 minutes without a single waitress or employee acknowledging me. Got up and left. This place is a joke, especially since some of the owners were there too.

Bad service. Ok food. Wings are great.

Went back on 3/​14, they had a country singer Josh Ward there. The cover was $ 10 but he sounded real good outside so we decided to give it a try.
Ended being a good call as he was excellent, there was around 50 people inside and everyone seemed to be having a good time. They had plenty of staff as well as a beer tub going so no wait for anything.
Went back for the pizza again and was not disappointed, even better this time around as it was cooked perfectly, A+
Had a super time as the new waitresses and the beer tub girl were a lot of fun. Will be back for sure. Also looks like they have a nice variety of bands over the next two months, looking forward to checking a few out.

Great staff, great atmosphere, Awesome Music, just an all around great venue.
