I had Dream Cakes Inc do my cake for my wedding. It was the most beautiful cake and way better than I could have imagined myself. We had an asian themed wedding and wanted something creative and different. Edit took off with it and made something absolutely amazing. If I had to do it again, I would still pick them. Price wise, they are worth every penny. The taste of the cakes is phenomenal, the people that work here are very skilled, and even on non important day their bakery goods are to die for.

Background: I got spoiled on pastries and baked goods at an early age. My mother apprenticed under, and was the assistant to a guy named Roland Mesnier. Google him. (White House pastry chef from ’79-’04). I had no clue that cake could come from a box until I was in my teens. Anyways:
Don’t let the exterior fool you. It’s a bit deceptive, since the bakery shares the parking lot with a gas station, and there’s a questionable taco truck about 100 ft. from the door. Just because it’s not in a luxurious building, it’s in no way indicative of what you find inside.
My first introduction to Dream Cakes was at the bridal expo that my fiancé drug me to at the beginning of the year. Of the maybe 8 – 12 cake vendors there, Dream Cakes was the only one I even remotely liked. All the others were either too sweet, too dry, or tasted like box cake.
Fast forward to last week. I called on Monday, asking if my fiancé and I could come by on Friday for a tasting & consultation. They were able to schedule us for late afternoon Friday, which was impressive given the fairly short notice. We walked in and I made a beeline for the samples. Croissants and cake balls. Both were the best I’ve ever had. The croissant was rich and buttery, a little dense (which I personally like). We arrived, were instantly greeted, and sat down. The level of service was nothing short of exemplary. Plates, forks, and napkins were brought out on a silver tray. Then the samples came out, and this is what really impressed me:
She brought out 6 samples of bare cake. Then, on a separate plate, were little sample cups of 2 different frostings and about 16 different fillings. We were encouraged to mix and match to find what flavor combo we liked best. All throughout the tasting, we were being asked about design elements, structure, etc. As we answered, Edit would nod in acknowledgement, and draw on her sketch pad. After about 20 minutes, she turned it to my fiancé and asked «Is this roughly what you had in mind»…my fiancé was speechless. It was, pardon the cliché, her dream cake. It was exactly what she wanted.
We didn’t get the hard sell, and were eager to put down our deposit on the spot.
(On an aside, later that evening, we went to an open house dinner hosted by our wedding venue. When my fiancé tasted their cake [which she previously had enjoyed] she turned to me and just said «you were right». After doing the «pepsi challenge» and comparing them within hours of each other, she realized just how superior Dream Cakes’ quality is)

Such a great bakery with very talented employees. Booked for our wedding in March. Our cake was a simpler design, but once we first saw it at our reception the details and work put into our cake was beautiful! My grooms cake is beyond amazing. And the taste made my eyes roll to the back of my head! Delicious!!! You won’t be disappointed when booking these great folks for your baking needs!

Refreshing to meet someone who has excellent cakes and amazing prices. I have shopped around for my daughter’s wedding cake and by far Dream Cakes is a dream! So nice, informative and yummy. Hurry ladies and call them today. You won’t regret it.
