Holy Moly! Those chicharrones are to die for!!! I think I gained 20lbs in the last 2 days eating them! Can’t get it out of my head. I’m heading back to NY tomorrow with a huge bag full of chicharrones!

I went there today thinking I might be able to find a yummy lunch around 2:00. Found a little kitchen in the back. They were out of tamales but I had some very delicious chicken tacos. Chopped slightly spiced chicken, onions, fresh cilantro, soft corn tortillas, radishes, green or red hot sauce — simple but SO good .The cook /cashier was a very nice lady who speaks, I think, just a bit of English so be kind please. Cool atmosphere. Loud music & Telemundo type soap opera on the t.v.(today it was the Rose of Guadalupe) Not at all fancy so if you are wanting that go elsewhere. I see college students maybe liking this place especially. There is a grocery & of course, a meat counter. A very big meat counter. Looked promising. This may very well be another NC Happy Place for me !
