I’ve been to Buster’s three now: twice during its first run, and once after it re-opened under«new management» with a «new menu.» These two statements should be taken with a gigantic grain of salt, because Buster’s is still singing the same ol’ song. My husband likes to come here with his friends for a beer and wings, and he promised me that it was different than the first go-round, where we experienced spotty, inattentive service, bland food and steep prices. So off we went, with my in-laws and our three-year-old on a weeknight. I should state this at the outset: we were one of four tables in the restaurant. Four out of… 25 or 30, maybe. The guy greeting us was pleasant enough and he took and brought our drink orders without a hitch. He did initially tell my father-in-law that they no longer had a certain style of beer of draft, and then returned telling him that they did, so that was less of a mistake and more of a nice surprise. Once the drinks arrived, placed our food order. I got a buffalo chicken wrap with mild sauce and no cheese, my in-laws both ordered hamburger steaks with no mushrooms or onions, my husband got a ribeye sandwich with onion rings, and I ordered a side salad for our son to eat. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. For 20 minutes. This would be somewhat acceptable if the restaurant was packed. But it wasn’t. Finally, the food arrived. My wrap had cheese on it and my in-laws’ hamburger steaks were covered in onions and especially mushrooms. I’m talking both of them had a whole jar worth(they definitely weren’t fresh) on top with no cheese or anything to hold them together. My husband’s onion rings looked like they had been left in the fryer for about 10 minutes too long… they were black. His sandwich also had an overabundance of grayish mushrooms. The side salad was the only decent looking part of the meal. We all sort of looked at everything, and because we’d been waiting so long, decided to call it good. The food itself was edible, but I’d hardly call it «terrific» or «delicious» as the other reviewers said. My wrap was extremely overcooked, as were the hamburger steaks. My husband said the onion rings would have been really good if they weren’t so «done.» The server did check back for drink refills a couple times and brought the bill and boxes in a timely manner(my in-laws decided their dogs wouldn’t care about overcooked hamburger steak). He and the bartender seemed to have a grasp on what their jobs entailed. I’m not sure what happened in the kitchen. The bill was definitely more than what you’d pay at a fast-food place, unless you’ve made it a habit of ordering one of everything at McDonald’s or Taco Bell. Long story short: It’s pretty doubtful I’ll be back.

We had a really good experience here! Excellent nachos and buffalo wings. The burgers were terrific(even the mini ones), and the service was good too. Stopped in on a whim as we were passing thru Connersville and our expectations were exceeded.

The staff was super friendly, the service was quick, the food was delicious, and we got plenty of food for what we paid. For as much as you’d pay to get a meal at a fast food place you could come here and get a better quality burger, steak, sandwich, etc. Or watch some sports if you’re so inclined since they have quite a few televisions. We ordered burgers and they tasted great. I got the mini appetizer burgers with pickles and grilled onions and they tasted really good. I didn’t even notice that the little burgers didn’t have cheese which I usually insist upon, that’s how good they were. We also got the loaded fries that came with nacho cheese(or cheddar cheese if you prefer), bacon, green onions(sour cream is also an option but we cut that). The plate was huge and it tasted awesome. Nacho cheese makes anything just that much better. If you order a steak or entrée you get a little loaf of bread that comes out on a cute cutting board with cinnamon butter and regular butter. The cinnamon butter was sooo good. I slathered that crack-like butter on thick. The sweet tea was definitely sweet, just like I love it. We saw another table order a bloomin’ buster(similar to a bloomin’ onion) and, while we can’t say how it tasted, it was huge and looked so good. We’ll for sure be getting that next time. I definitely recommend visiting and giving it a try. It’s probably the best burger place in Connersville so I would hate to see a great place like this not stay in business. You have to support your local businesses so go out and spend some money.
