We bought a house a few years ago with a wrap-​around driveway that went around the back of the house and shared one drive with the neighbor to one side, but that created a «parking lot» situation in our back yard. We decided to enclose the backyard, tear up the parking lot, and make the space much more livable with more grass and patio space. Additionally, we had a flooding problem due to the lack of permeable surface (i.e., grass or permeable pavers) in the yard.
So we obtained several quotes and asked for personal references, and we ended up choosing Steve Botto Landscaping. Steve’s quote wasn’t the cheapest, but his work and his references stood above the rest.
Steve worked with us to reduce the amount of work, which helped reduce the overall cost, so that we were getting the livable yard we wanted at a reasonable price. Once he was able to start work, Steve and his crew worked very quickly to tear up the non-​permeable asphalt, remove the existing patio, level the ground, install drainage, and build an all-​new yard for us. He even saved us some money by re-​using retaining wall blocks from the previous patio.
They were able to finish the entire job in under two weeks – even with weather – and we couldn’t be happier with the results. (Check out the before-​and-​after photos!)
Steve Botto not only constructs and maintains landscaping, he also designs landscaping, and he has a great eye and vast knowledge of everything that goes into your project: plantings, seasons, grass, pavers, fencing, drainage, and so much more.
He’s infinitely patient and his work is of the highest quality. Our favorite thing about Steve is that he stands firmly behind his work. If something on a project isn’t right, he’ll do his best to make it right, even if it’s weeks or months later.
