Trendy Nails and Spa

LOVE our new nail salon!!! Went in last week to purchase 15 pedicures for the staff at my sons school and the salon is really nice. My mom and I made appointments yesterday. I had a fill and mom had a spa pedi and mani. Rose did my nails and she is just a sweetheart. My nails are absolutely perfect! I have RA and very sore hands/​wrists. She was very gentle and I didn’t even need to say anything. I asked if she could do some nail art in celebration of my anniversary and she hand painted some pink hearts; adorable! I’ll post a picture… She was also really fast! My mom had Mai and she also loved her. Arm massage was her favorite and her pedicure was heaven! Her nails are beautiful! I sent a picture of my nails to a friend this morning and she went to Trendy to get her nails done this afternoon!

Talk about wonderful service. From the second i touched the door. Greeted by the Available esthetician that would be taking care of me and a gentleman at the front desk. asked what i would like today, then escorted to the wall of amazing color. So many i have never even seen before. then while the lady got everything ready for my pedicure, the gentleman took me to my chair and started the water and made sure i was comfortable. Then offered me water, hot or cold tea. Now for my fullset and design.

Pedi was fine but the water initially scalded my foot — way too hot. The pedicurist was a nice gentleman but he had an obvious cold/​runny nose which is sort of unnerving. We waited 15 minutes for a chair and then my daughter waited in a pedi chair at least 20 min longer than that. Meh.

My first visit and would be my last. People here are not friendly and service was bad. The girl who was doing my nail was sick. She was coughing and sneezing in my face. Now, I’m starting to get sick, too. I just took Nyquil thanks to her!

I usually go here for no-​frills mani/​pedi about every 4 – 6 weeks. I never make an appointment, but the receptionist is always great about letting me know if they can get me in within a certain time. Their chairs are comfy and the technicians are always friendly. The place is well-​decorated and clean. They also pay special attention to keeping the foot spas germ-​free, and they use newly sterilized packets for each customer. To my perception, this isn’t a ‘high-​end’ salon, so I never have ‘high-​end’ expectations; however, I’m never let down with the services they do provide.

If it was an option I would give this place a 3.5. My mom has been going to this place for a little bit so when I was home to visit she took me here to get our nails done together. The place is very nice inside both decorations and their equipment. I suggest making an appointment so you don’t have to wait and can get in quickly and easily.
The staff here is very friendly and does a good job on the nails. I will say though that the massage department with your nails is lacking. They are pretty pricey and for their prices you think they would want to give you a better well rounded experience and service. Don’t get me wrong, they do a good job on the nails and they have lots of colors in polish and even more in shellac to choose from, but I wasn’t too impressed by the place. I did like that they were friendly though. I feel like nail places are a dime a dozen these days and if they do a good job on your nails you are satisfied. I just wish they did a better job at the scrubbing of the feet and massage, after all that’s the best part!

Came in for mani and pedi. I noticed that they didn’t let me dry my pedi under the light like other salons. Which caused my pedi to slightly smudge on the first day. Shellac manicure was ok but there are slight gaps between nail and cuticle, exposing some nail.

I love this place! Been going here for years! Leslie and Tony are the best! So is everyone else there! The best work I have had done out of any nail salons!

This place has no artistic designer for nails. I walked in and ask the girl if she could do my nails like the picture I showed her. She said «yes yes of course». It should have been «NO NO of course». I even said to her «if you cannot do it let me know and I will change the color and go with no design». she still said she could do it. The owner at one point came over to say «oh they look better than the picture». If she thinks that, then she is My nails no way looked like the picture. To top it off I was in the chair 2+ hours for crap. I will never ever ever go back to that place!

I have been going here loyally and religiously for years (probably since 2005 or 2006!) and love the great and thorough job that they do. V ALWAYS does my pedicures as she is amazing! She does a fantastic job and gives great massages. Leslie and My do my shellac and they are very good also! If you are looking to get white tips/​gel or any other type of acrylic, Danny does an awesome job!

I got two young girls that could not in understand English hardy at all. They were present enough but they did a bad job. The main problem was that the girl giving the pedicure ripped my toenail and caused an ingrown nail and infection. This was painful and cost 2 Dr visits.
The water in the foot baths was cold.
Also the nail polish crinkled up, then was very hard to rub off. I will not go there again.

Eh… Wasn’t thrilled. But I may give one more chance. I use to come to this salon when it had different owners and always left happy. I came here about a week ago for just a full set, the new owner was rude plus made me wait entirely too long after how empty it was and for the service I was wanting. And then the nail tech who did my nails sucked. I’m in the beauty industry so I understand some days aren’t as good as others but they definitely didn’t impress me. May give them another chance but definitely wouldn’t go here for nails if your needing for a special occasion. Pedicure spas seemed nice though. Although 2 different people who had pedicures done came in unhappy wanting things fixed during only the hour I was there… plus it was way overpriced which makes it kind of a deal breaker.

Walked in today and asked how long the wait was for a mani-​pedi and the lady sitting at the first station had a BAD attitude … Spent my money elsewhere no wonder they have a small amount of stars she told me to come back an hour and a half later and rolled her eyes there was only 4 people there seriously lady get it together we the customers pay you so you can eat and live not to get treated like scum when we are trying to relax.

This place is wonderful, they are all so nice and friendly. The place is so clean and all the stuff that they use it super clean, I love their work and love all of them, usually go there every 2weeks for manicure and pedicure, best customer service ever.

It costs a few bucks more than I’m used to for a mani/​pedi/​eyebrow wax here. I was most satisfied with my pedicure, so the cost was worth it to a certain extent. It’s been more than a month and my pedicure still looks fresh! Also, the space is very open, inviting and relaxing… and for me, that wins major points in having a great experience!
My manicure turned out very nice and lasted a bit more than a week, which was better than I first expected (since my manicurist was a bit judgmental that I came in a couple days, rather than a day, before my big formal event). She said the polish may wear off quickly and look tacky for my event, which left me worried about the quality of service I’d receive. But, it actually turned out just fine.
The eyebrow wax was just okay. I saw a few stray hairs and have experienced a cleaner eyebrow wax at other salons.
I’d come back here if I was in the area again. No or very short wait and a lot of mani/​pedi stations and nail colors to choose from. It’s in a big shopping plaza so you can get multiple errands done at once.

I went here on a wim and I’m glad I did. They were pretty busy when I got there but I was still greeted. I told them I wanted a mani and pedi. The lady told me to pick a color and that it would be a few minutes. Maybe 10 min later I was taken care of. The staff was friendly and they did my nails the way I wanted them even though it as busy. I would recommend.

Very clean, trendy, organized place. They do a delux pedicure which includes a glass or 2 of wine while you get your toes done so it’s great for couples or even girlfriend dates. They also have the biggest selection of gelac colors, at least 140 color options.
Out of all the places in Concord, this is definitely my favorite.

Decided to give this place a second chance since it is right across the street from my job & I needed my nails filled desperately. I got my usual acrylic/​gel nail set, there were three ppl working this day. Although I was the only client in the shop at the time, the man doing my nails was the one answering all the calls, which made my appt last much longer. Meanwhile the other two ladies weren’t doing anything.
During the fill, the man cut my finger which caused it to bleed, when he finally noticed the blood, he stated, «oh i cut you, you move too much.» Ignorant. Anyways, I asked for shellac color #11 (tan/​natural color), but I noticed that it was appearing slightly pinkish. I thought to myself «maybe it’s the lighting.» When finished, I paid $ 38 for their services including the tip and a nail repair, which I feel is pretty expensive (I might be spoiled from SF prices which are usually $ 12 for fills).
After I left, I noticed that my nails were very, very thick and uneven, I like my nails to appear natural, AND the color WAS pink. Not that pink isnt cute, but it’s not what I asked nor paid for. Since I do tolerate pink, I decided to just let it go, plus I didnt wanna waste even more time there.
I originally came in on monday, on WEDNESDAY (2 days later), I noticed my shellac nail polish began to rub off AND my repaired nail had already came off too. How is this possible after two days??? Shellac nail polish is supposed to be long lasting nail polish, at least 2 weeks.
Of course I called and set up a new appointment to get my nails fixed. When I came in, they kept giving me bullshit excuses, «your nails grow too fast» & «you sure it was this monday? not last monday?» It has been two days… really? The only explanation is that my nails were poorly serviced.
I will NEVER give them my money, EVER again.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING A GROUPON FOR THIS BUSINESS!
I purchased a Groupon for this business in December. The rules on the Groupon said you needed to call and schedule an appointment and state that it’s for a Groupon purchased. I called multiple times from December — March trying to schedule an appointment. Every call was a variation of this:
Me: «I have a Groupon and I am wanting to book an appointment for today or tomorrow»
Trendy Nails person: «We are too busy»
Me: «Well when are you free?»
Trendy Nails person: «(insert weekday) at 2 pm»
Me: «I can’t come then. I work in the city and am working at that time.»
Trendy Nails person: «Then we can’t take you. We are too busy and the Groupon takes too long»
I contacted Groupon and they said they couldn’t refund and offered to «help schedule» me an appointment with them. A month went by and I didn’t hear back from Trendy Nails or Groupon. So I tried calling Trendy Nails another time — same response. So finally it dawns on me. I’m calling and saying «Groupon» which equals in their head «I’m not paying them» so I try the next day and call back and say «I’d like to make an appointment» (no mention of Groupon). She immediately says «ok what time would you like to come» and is willing to book me THAT day.
I eventually got my money back from Groupon but it was a hassle and I had to file a complaint with the BBB.
It bothers me that Groupon would even work with a company like this. I hope that the next time they run an offer with them, potential buyers will read this review and stay away. Really not worth the headache.

WHAT’S THE POINT OF AN AP-​POINT-​MENT?
Raise your hand if you like scheduling an appointment and the other person/​business isn’t on time. Not me!
I called and scheduled an appointment for my husband and I to get warm mask spa pedicures. I paid $ 17 on Groupon for mine and asked the price for my husband on the phone. His would be $ 35. Both came with a complimentary glass of wine.
We arrived and waited 20 minutes before finally being sat in a massage chair. Lukewarm to cool water filled the basin and we both said that it was cold when the employee asked for the temperature was. I’ve never had this happen at a nail salon. It can occasionally be too warm, but too cold? It was not relaxing.
I sat with my feet in the water for another 10 minutes and my husband had nobody help him for 20 minutes. Twenty minutes of sitting with his feet in cool water. (!!!)
I was asked if I wanted to pay extra for sea salt scrub on my legs. I did not; I have a sea salt scrub I use regularly at home. No need to exfoliate here. Wrong choice, I guess. Because the girl on my right received awesome leg treatment with her extra purchase. We received very rushed foot/​leg massages.
The time it took to actually trim the nails and paint my toes was about 20 minutes, maybe a little less. We were there a long time for such a short amount of time being spent with us. The service we received was not worth the amount we paid. Another voucher of little value bought on Groupon. We will not be back.
