They charged me a fee for using my Visa, even though I spent over $ 20 on beer and cider. The store is pretty big and has a good selection of adult beverages, but service wasn’t especially friendly and the clerk didn’t tell me he was adding this weird service charge; I just noticed it. Which I actually don’t think he’s allowed to do since I spent over $ 20 with a regular Visa credit card. Either way, «hidden fees» just tacked on by a business are not cool and probably not legal. I’ll definitely visit one of the other vendors on Monument next time to avoid an extra fee. Monument Wine & Spirits isn’t far from here, has no service charge for credit cards, and you get a free bag of ice if you spend over $ 5.
