So happy I came here with my friend! We decided we could go for Hotpot after a long cold day of class. Ambience is great, really warm and cozy. Although prices are a little high, ingredients were fresh and portions were decent. Pork belly + enoki mushroom skewers were THEBOMB.

I really enjoy the atmosphere of this place. The broth is very flavorful and there seems to be so many options to choose from for vegetables and meats but I wish they had octopus or calamari rings. They are still new and I see they are updating their menu so I’ll keep my fingers crossed they will add more items in the future.

I like the aura in the restaurant and they also have macaron ice cream sandwiches The food is alright for the price. But it sucks how they dont have an all you can eat option. Its also kind of hard ordering if you are indecisive lol(you mark what you want on a paper) But most importantly, CHECK… Recheck and triple check your bill. Their receipt calculating strategy is ALL manual and sometimes they seem to miscount some of your items. Check and recheck!

Nice décor, we came in for dinner on Sunday and didn’t have to wait. However, it did get crowded not long after. We got the ½ and ½ but enjoyed the spicy broth more than the basic Steamboat broth. Also ordered chicken skewers which were yummy. The ramen noodles went well with the pork belly and spicy broth. Not too pricy, so my husband and I each tried a mango macaroon and green tea macaroon(sooooo good). My favorite dipping sauce was the Steamboat sauce, which was the peanut flavored one. Will bring the kids next time!

We got pork belly, egg noodle, lamb, beech mushrooms, squash, taro, wood ear mushrooms, fried tofu skin, napa cabbage. Tofu was given to us on the house, branded with Steamboat’s logo, which was pretty cute. We got half spicy and half original soup. Pork belly was so good in the soup — very thinly sliced, which is how I would have wanted it. Squash and taro fell apart, so it wasn’t the easiest to fish out when it was overcooked. The fried tofu skin was not my favorite in the soup; its texture was a bit hard, and it would be better to get an unfried tofu skin. Service is good when we were there for dinner, and there were only a couple other tables. They come by often and adjust temperature of broths. My mom commented that when she had been there for lunch during the day, service was abysmally slow. We did not experience that.

Was craving for hotpot and so we drove here. The ingredients were fresh but the taste was definitely not spicy enough. If you can’t take spicy hotpot, you will love them. You do have to keep track if they have serve you what you ordered as they made some mistake and we almost got charged for things that weren’t delivered. All in all, it was a good dinner.

I am so happy we tried this place out! We’ve been wanting to go to Shabu in the city but found this place much closer to work and they just opened up about 4 months ago. It’s not an all-you-can-eat menu like other hotpot places but they have a menu where you can select what you want with your order. Their spicy broth is amazing and the quality their food is great. The setting is cute and the service good. This is definitely our new go-to spot for hotspot.

Amazing! Service is great. Water always full. Hot pot sauce generously given. Taste and quality: A. Must try the sausage skewer. Our old hot pot place in San Jose closed down. Glad to know that there’s something closer with the same quality. Highly recommended place to try at least once.

I came here on accident because I thought it was a different restaurant. I came to this location with friends a while ago and remember having a good time and a good meal. So recently I came back thinking it was the same place but the owner mentioned they changed ownership. I gave this place a try and it wasn’t too bad. The owner was really nice and it seemed like he cared about the experience customers had. The food was decent but it wasn’t mind blowing. I came back for a birthday(the birthday celebrant chose the place). This time however the staff seemed like they were rushing us. They came back too frequently asking if we were ready to order. I told them multiple times that we were waiting for the birthday boy. Again the food was good but not great. I don’t want to confuse anyone and say that this place is bad because it isn’t. It is a nice place to eat, it is probably something I wouldn’t go out of my way for. I also wish this place had a TV to play the Warriors games like the previous restaurant.

Absolutely delicious. This is basically customize your own soup. I recommend wontons, spinach, mushrooms, and beef. But there are lots of different vegetables, noodles, and meats to choose from. It adds up quickly and can be pricy, but less is definitely more here. This is best enjoyed with friends to share. Only downside is there is nothing more on the menu but the add-ons to the soup, so if soup doesn’t fill you up, you’ll leave a little hungry.

Disclaimer: not from this area, not familiar with what other things are around here. Searched hotpot and this was the only one that popped up. Quality food, great customer service, minimal wait on January 1! WHOO! Half & Half pot: half spicy and half house special broth. Both great and not overly spicy. Beef and Lamb were both great! They come in at $ 7/plate, and we got 4 plates of both for 3 girls. Veggies were good, about $ 4/plate. We went with the enoki, spinach, bok choy, and the black ear fungus thing(all my Asians know wassup!) They have these amazing macaron ice cream sandwiches, which I declined at first but was hooked after! The pink macaron with green tea ice cream is a MUSTTRY! Being the little vanilla bean that I am, I ordered the vanilla also. Check in for 10% off your bill. In total, our bill came out to $ 80~ before tip. Will definitely return when I visit this part of the Bay Area.

Whenever we’re craving for hot pot we always have to go to san francisco to be able to eat in a decent hot pot place. Thankfully Steamboat opened and now we have a hot pot place to go to here in Concord! We love the spicy broth! We ordered 3beef, bokchoy, napa cabagge and enoki mushroom which was filling for 2hungry adults and of course rice to go with the hot pot. The skewers was just ok, nothing extraordinary. Thier service was very efficient and the servers are very attentive! Definitely will be coming back again!

Finally a Hot Pot destination close to home. Service was spot on, there was a wait but you should expect that at any restaurant that is good! There is a sign in sheet at the front desk that you should put your name on if there is a wait. The staff was very attentive to let us know to grab a menu sheet and start marking what your party would like to order so that your dishes will arrive more quickly.((Great idea, as we were hungry)) What is HOTPOT: Hot pot or Shabu Shabu, refers to several East Asian varieties of stew, consisting of a simmering metal pot of stock at the center of the dining table. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table. ((Similar to a meat fondu at the MELTINGPOT)) Perfect during cold weather. We went for the ½ & ½ broth One side spicy and the other side clear broth. FYI: The longer those chili peppers simmer in the broth the spicier it will get. So if your like me, I prefer it med so I took out most of the dried peppers. I think I will ask them to only add a few the next time we go again. The meats were very fresh and the vegetables were crisp and delicious. Some items on the menu are very authentic which gives you a great variety to choose from. The house tofu skin is really good. It has a special fish paste infused in-between the fried tofu skin. Just quickly blanch it and enjoy. Super yummy. All in all a great experience and definitely will be back. I wonder if they have green onion and crushed garlic as a side in jars too, guess I must return to find out. Oh yes, how could I forget — They have several YAKITORI skewers to choose from as well. All were very good, but my favorite was the lamb skewer. It was exceptionally good, tasted just like the ones I had when I traveled to Asia. Bravo! Have fun, enjoy and make sure you cook your meats all the way through.

Winter time is perfect for hot pot and I was happy to find out there is one in my neighborhood! Steamboat is clean, spacious and food quality is pretty good. This is not an all-you-can-eat hot pot place so you do need to pay per order. We got their half half pot, which contains one side of regular broth and the other side spicy. It came out pretty good although it was’t spicy enough for me. I am sure you can ask them to make it hotter though. Overall, we were full and the bill came out to be about $ 15 a person with tip. It is pretty fair and the wait is manageable if you come early. Glad to have a Hot Pot joint in town!

I’ve never had hot pot prior to this visit. I’m in loooveee. This will be my new favorite place to go to when I want some soup! I ordered the house style broth, beef, wonton, broccoli, ramen, and boc choy. Oh, and a chicken skewer. Total came out to be around $ 34 The server asked if we were familiar and since we weren’t, he explained it all to us which I was really grateful for. They were attentive and gave us water refills and also soup refill when it got low. I enjoyed every part of this experience! There were only two other couples there so it wasn’t busy at all but I’m sure once the word gets around on how good it is it will get more business! Can’t wait to come back!

The food was delicious! The reason for one less star is only because my fiancé and I would love to see an all you can eat option and we were expecting ponzu and sauté sauce but they were limited in their sauce selection. We asked but they didn’t have any in back. The skewers were really really good and the quality of the meat was good all around. Definitely would come back and even bring friends! Nice to see a hot pot place near us doing a decent job on the food quality. As far as service goes, outstanding I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

Steamboat took over from Jason’s Hot Pot and is a decent /only hotpot option in the Concord area. They have an AYCE option and is the way to go. The menu items are some what limited compared to other Hot Pot restaurants around the Fremont area. It’s located in the large Ranch 99 center with plenty of parking. Service is good. Their meat plates are smaller then other hot pot places and kinda just piled on the plate.

You GOTTA check out this place. The broth is so tasty and BETTER then most of the hot pot place I’ve ever tried. The skewers are the BOMB!!! The customer service are great! I’d give extra points to the customer service here. Very GOOD price for the quality meal. We’re so happy to find this place. We’ll come back!

Huge fan of Steamboat! I ventured out to Concord for the first time just to try this place, and it was well worth the 30 minute drive.(What can I say, I love hot pot) Our group of four tried the half and half with house broth and spicy broth. Both were delicious and flavorful. We ordered about $ 30 worth of food and it was more than enough to fill us! What a deal! My favorite was the enoki mushrooms, and it was nice to have vermicelli noodles to eat with the other hot pot items. We also had the fish balls and beef and various other vegetables. They were also kind enough to let us sample a bacon wrapped enoki mushroom skewer! It was SOOO good, I’m definitely ordering that next time! Their sauces were delicious as well, I just mixed them all together in one bowl and ate it that way. What surprised me was that this was family style. The other hot pot locations I’ve visited had one pot per person. So basically it’s one pot for every 4 people. My friends informed me that this is pretty common. Either way, it’s delicious! :D My only complaint was that the service was kind of slow at the beginning, but once they got us started they were very attentive. They consistently came by to refill our broth and turn the temperature up and down to fit where we were with our meal. If this place was closer to me, I’d be back in a heartbeat!

Ok my fellow Unilocalers… I am coming out of my 5 month hiatus to give a review for Steamboat. And what a boat they have! For those that don’t know, this place used to be Jason’s and now there is new management! My table got what we usually got, half and half, with various meats, noodles and veggies. The beef, chicken, and pork belly were all very good. The pork belly reminded me of a Chinese style bacon! Everything tasted very fresh and their spicy broth is delicious! We also got ramen and the egg noodles, and while both were great, I feel the ramen noodles were superior for this kind of experience. We also sampled some of the skewers! We got the shrimp and the pork belly wrapped mushroom ones. Both were delish and a great value! If I had one complaint, it would of been the service during my meal. There was a large party of 7 or 8 people and we felt like for the first half of our meal(after we got the food to cook) we were largely ignored when we needed more broth or forks for my chopstick challenged wife. After that table cleared out, service was much snappier so it evened out overall but it was still worth mentioning. They are in the process of getting their liquor license(fingers crossed) and they also offer a 15% discount when you check in on Unilocal!Overall, a great«new» spot in Concord that deserves your business!
