Safeway Food & Drug

Ehhh… It’s Safeway. What can I say. Part of the missing stars is the location/​parking lot/​random customers. I know it’s hard to rate a place on the traffic it brings but what can I say it sets the scene.
Checkers are nice! Lines get long on Sunday’s and Mondays and holidays! Ha. The store has a lot of stuff. It’s nice the amount of items they have.
The place is close to my house. Its convenient and It’s fine if you lock your doors and ignore the non sense.
Don’t forget to lock the doors!
No Wells Fargo inside its A different bank. There is a Starbucks.

Rosa Lee is so sweet. I bought a cake at the bakery and soon after realized that it would be too small for my party. I went to return it but was worried that they wouldn’t take it back. Well, to my surprise — not only did they take it back, but they let me pick out the bigger cake (that was only $ 1.00 more) and gave it to me without making me pay the $ 1.00 cost difference. It was just a dollar, but it was really the principle of making customers happy that was so impressively followed. The bakery staff to the customer service was stellar and greatly appreciated! Lastly, my party guests loved the cake, it was the raspberry/​white cake and absolutely delicious. Thanks again Safeway!

So, when I worked here, it was just ok. I was a courteousy clerk. This is also another union employer. This job, well, let’s just say at times it kind of felt fake for me when I was working here. Safeway has these customer service rules they want employees to abide by. I remember one time I asked a customer if he needed some help, and he got upset at me. Honestly, I think, from all my experience working retail, the customer will usually ask for help, and I beleive those people that work in the store should be real and themselves.
One thing Safeway does that I think is a great idea, is that they have people work the floor first before working as a cashier, this is how it was when I was there at least, maybe it’s changed.

You know, this place isn’t that bad. The area it’s in isn’t very appealing and I am always hesitant to come here after the gym but I had to buy some fish so I stopped by.
The parking lot looked pretty bare but people started to slowly arrive as soon as I started walking inside. The inside is a LOT nicer than I expected. Definitely a ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ situation which I was relieved by.
The inside is pretty inviting, good lighting throughout the building. I got what I needed and they have a self check out area, yay ! Overall good experience, I’ll definitely be coming back now :)

This is the worst Safeway I have ever been to. They are supposed to be open 24 hrs. I work at 4am so I have tried several times to go here for food before work. The last 3 times I have tried, they have a sign on the door that says closed from 2am-​5am due to technical difficulties!!! Are you freaking kidding me?!! I had to get my breakfast from 7 – 11. I hate this store!!!
