Rossi’s Cafe and Deli

After writing this review, I went in about a week later to grab a soda. (in a can, not made with unwashed hands) The owner was there and confronted me about my review. How he knew that I wrote it, I’m not sure. He was yelling, upset and told me to get out of his establishment and never come back. «You want to see me be rude?!»…“Dude, I’m witnessing it.”

I visit Rossi’s every morning. I chat with the owner, have tea or some of the best coffee around, Rossi’s is a great start to my day.

Super rude owner. Been there a few times, and doesn’t seem to give to hoots about either his customers nor staff (which are very nice). I ate there a few times out of convenience, but have decided to take my business elsewhere after the owner was incredibly rude and didn’t wash his hands before making my sandwich — he had just been reading his paper and working on his computer and putting his hands lord knows where else. If you like supporting nice people, go elsewhere.

Not only is Rossi’s food great but they have a new winter promotion going on with prizes that are definitely worth winning. You should really stop by and grab a sandwich. It’s well worth it! Ccs

I started coming to this place just within the last few months and I think it’s great. After only coming in a few times the owner Steve already knew my name. This is lost here days and it’s something that goes a long way. Everyone that works here is very friendly and even when it’s busy the line still moves pretty quick.
The food is really good. They have daily specials in addition to their everyday menu. Soups, salads, and sandwiches. During the summer Steve even barbecues on Tuesday and Thursday. Can’t beat that on a lunch break! I recommend the burger on BBQ day and the Hot Turkey Bacon on the everyday menu.

Wanted to like this place and to be fair maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.
That said you’re only as good as your weakest item on the menu. I ordered a meatball sub and the meatballs were the small, frozen, subway tasting type ones. Also, very important for a meatball sub is the bread to meatball composition. It was very difficult to eat the sandwich without 90% of the meatballs falling out. If you’re gonna sell a meatball sub, gotta have the right bread for that mo fo.

What can I say, great food, good portions and good prices. This is my new favorite place to eat for lunch. The owner is a trip too, real nice guy. Check this place out if you haven’t already, I’m sure you’ll be pleasently surprised.

So glad I found this place across the street from my work. Love their breakfast sandwiches and fresh baked cookies. I’ve yet to try the hot turkey bacon sandwich which I’ve heard from another customer is to die for. Did I mention great customer service??? Steve is awesome! Not only did he memorized my name but also my order on my 2^nd visit. A must try if you’re in the area.

I eat here frequently as I have a satellite office in the building. There is a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items, as well as excellent salads, wraps, and daily specials. I’ve been on a diet recently, and Steve has been very helpful in providing appropriate substitutes whenever needed. The prices are low, and they cater, too. During the summer, there are BBQ days when Steve will grill outside made-​to-​order plates. There’s also a very pleasant shaded courtyard with plentiful seating. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I find this deli to be an excellent dining option.

If it wasn’t for this place I would probably starve most days. Not only is Rossi’s deli quick and convenient, it is relatively inexpensive and has very good quality deli meats. The owner and staff are very friendly and work very hard. Steve remember’s the names and orders of all of the repeat customers. I haven’t found a better deli in the area in terms of price, convenience, attitude of employees, and quality of food.
There are specials that change every day and in the summer they have a gas grill that they use to serve up some of the specials. This is a great place to eat!

I’ve worked in the building for a few years, and Rossi’s is my go-​to place for a quick breakfast or lunch. While I have not tried everything on the menu, everything I have tried is fresh and flavorful. Steve makes the sandwiches big and delicious, and the wraps are also very good.
Steve has a wrap of the month, which always keeps it interesting and he has fresh prepackaged salads in the fridge each Wednesday, which are large and come with an ample supply of dressing.
Now match the good food, with a friendly staff, and this really makes for a nice spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Steve and his group are always very eager to make your meal. On nice days there is plenty of outdoor seating. I would certainly recommend Rossi’s as a breakfast or lunch spot to anyone.

UPDATE: Steve and his team put together a monthly sandwich wrap special that’s always tasty, but this month’s is my fave!
It’s a pineapple chicken teriyaki wrap, with pineapple, snow peas, jicama, carrots, lettuce, coconut cashews, pineapple spicy Italian dressing, and teriyaki chicken in your choice of tortilla.
I’ve had it twice now this week, and it’s super good. The coconut cashews are especially interesting, and the overall flavor is tropical, fresh, complex, and healthy.
Come grab one this month and you’ll be hooked, I promise!

I eat here a few times a week for breakfast or lunch. The sandwiches here are excellent quality and the price is very reasonable. The owner, Steve, has greeted me by name since my second time there. His employees are also very friendly and hard working. In my opinion this is a model small business/​restaurant with a great track record of maintaining great food products and customer service.

I’m travelling for work and I’m always looking for a good place with great salads. For $ 7.75 I received this heaping salad with lettuce, chicken, cheese, walnuts, apples and other things. It’s not your wimpy salad like Panera, it’s a real salad, and healthy!
I’ll be back here each day for lunch to try each of their salads. I’m guessing the owner Steve was outside grilling burgers and hot dogs for the customers. He said thank you to each of the customers and asked how people were doing.
Many companies lack customer service, this location does not. Great food and great service, what more can you ask for?

The breakfast sandwhiches at Rossi’s are the best. I just had egg, cheese, tomato and avocado on toasted bagel. With a medium (grande) coffe, the total was less than $ 5.
The owner’s sense of humor may not please everyone (some may say he is brash or abrasive… I don’t see it) but remember the words of A. Lincoln… you can’t please all the people all the time (I think it was he who said it).
Anyway, Steve will accommodate special orders for breakfast, so I recommend you give it a try when in Concord.

Sandwiches and service are truly delightful. Zero complaints.
Our offices recently relocated nearby. I’ve been here 4 times so far and have gotten 4 different specialty sandwiches. Every single one has been awesome and I would order them again in a heartbeat if I wasn’t already interested in other items on the menu.
I guess every person’s experience is different, but I don’t know where these other people are coming from that slag off the owner, Steve. He has been nothing but pleasant the two times out of four visits that he’s served me (I didn’t see him for two other visits, but the other staff was also helpful and nice).
Good selection of bottled and can beverages. Also a good selection of chips, candy, and other snack items. They have pastas, soups, cereal, bagels, and probably a ton of other stuff I’m missing, but so far I haven’t got past the killer sandwiches.
The four sandwiches I’ve tried thus far are the Hot Turkey Bacon, Turkey and Cranberry, The Club, and the Reuben. Again, all wonderful.
I’ve also tried the potato salad and was quite pleased.

I like this place and try to come by everyday on my way to work or at lunch. They really go out of their way to make your day great, every single one of them. Steve the owner is a really cool and straight forward guy, I’ve never had him be rude to me like a few Unilocal reviewers said. It’s a cool place to bring friends, with lots of cool tables inside and outside, I would recommend it. Even when the lines are filled, there are always enough staff to keep the wait time to a minimum.

–You can fully customize your lunch or breakfast or whatever you get.

This place is great! A nice refuge from all the work that waits for me upstairs. Over the years have become friends with Steve (the owner) and he truly cares about the people who are working in the building And frequent his shop. Great sandwiches and he makes a killer breakfast burrito. Not to mention the summer barbecues!
If you work in the building or near here, make Rossi’s part of your rotation.

I just love going into the deli and knowing that i will have a yummy meal. My favorite salad is the Summer Salad. It has spinach, strawberries, chicken, feta cheese, and toasted almonds. It’s served with a light raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It’s only served on Wednesdays when they do there special salad. So, mark your calendar for Wednesday!
When I read a negative review about Rossi’s, I just think some people are having a bad day and find that Unilocal is their outlet. Rossi’s is a great place for food and Steve, the owner, is a super guy.
