While I have no view as to the actual quality or craftsmanship of the work performed by Palazzo Kitchens & Baths, my review is solely with regard to the customer service provided by Mr. Felipe Franca in response to a request for a fee quote to repair a crack in a shower base. As a novice with regard to shower repairs and someone who highly values his time(and money), I took bathroom measurements and five photos of a bathroom, shower, and damage and sent them to Palazzo with a request for a fee quote for repair. Within ten minutes of my e-mail correspondence, I received a written reply from Mr. Franca which 1) suggested and recommended a remodel as opposed to repair 2) provided a clear response as to the work that Palazzo does and does not perform relating to my request 3) provided a basic and brief description of the work that was recommended 4) provided a fee estimate for the work described based on the information provided and 5) proposed a next step of speaking with one of their designers. As a customer and novice as to shower repairs, I appreciated the promptness of Mr. Franca’s reply, his response to my original ask(i.e., a fee estimate!!), his view and recommendation, as well as a clear next step should I choose to further pursue his company’s services. Given Mr. Franca’s reply, I had a couple additional questions — clarification for the fee estimate and the design consultation process — and replied within 20 minutes of receiving his correspondence. In a little over an hour I received a promptly written response from Mr. Franca answering my questions and referring me to one of the company’s designers(providing both a name, e-mail address, and phone number of the designer with the referral). After such reply, I had multiple follow-up questions(e.g., estimated permit costs, time generally spent in consulting with a designer, time for the actual work to be performed, etc.) all of which Mr. Franca answered both courteously and very promptly(within 10 minutes of each question). Through my correspondence with Mr. Franca, I received all the information I requested and needed within approximately three hours of my initial correspondence and through my preferred method of written communication for requesting a fee estimate(as it is much more convenient) for potential services. Overall, I can say the written customer service provided by Mr. Franca was very prompt, professional, courteous, and the estimates seemed very reasonable in comparison to others I have received. I would definitely consider Palazzo for this remodel and/or future projects and the customer service provided by Mr. Franca in response to a potential customer’s request for a fee estimate and follow up questions is top notch.

We went into Palazzo over three weeks ago to inquire about getting a quote for our kitchen. They set someone up to come out on January 12 to do measurements and get ideas of what we wanted. Ody showed up on time, however that was the end of my great experience. I have not ever recieved a quote a call or anything. I did call the next week and was told by him that he would have it to me by the end of the week. It has been almost three weeks now and nothing. We made it clear we wanted things rushed as we were informed that the lead time for the cabinets would be 4 to 5 weeks. Still nothing!!! We ended up going somewhere else literally around the corner from the showroom. Our kitchen will be done in the next week. We had $ 18,000 to spend on the kitchen we really wanted and had such high hopes with Palazzo. Very disapointed!

We worked with Felipe and Palazzo to remodel our kitchen and two bathrooms. Our experience with everyone at Palazzo was great. We relied on Felipe to help us choose everything: cabinets, flooring, hardware, etc. and love all of it. The crew was professional and friendly and knew what they were doing. We had just a few things we found that needed fixing after the job finished. We emailed Felipe and Renaldo came out the next day and took care of everything. That was just over one year ago. We’re happy to say that we’ve had no issues in the first year and everything still looks great and is working well. After living with the remodel we’re happy to say that we really like the choices we made. While we were impressed with the quality of the work at the time, we’re even more impressed after one year. There are so many important things to consider when choosing someone for a remodel project but we can’t think of a better endorsement than living with the remodel for some time and being even happier now with how things turned out. We definitely made the right choice choosing Palazzo.

I have had two baths remodeled by Palazzo, my master and my guest bath. The master was taken down to the studs because I wanted to get rid of the«throne room» in order to enlarge the shower and we had to move plumbing, electric, etc. I worked with Jerry, Arturo, Felipe, Dan and several other guys, all of whom were professional and got the job done beautifully. Jerry helped me get all my ideas on paper and pick out all the finishes, as well as managing the master bath project. Since I wanted a free standing tub and sliding barn door, i was delighted to find someone who would let me shop for those items and once I found them, happy to have them delivered to their store room until we had everything in place to start the job. Both baths are fabulous, just as I’d hoped and dreamed about for a long time and I’m well on my way to modern farmhouse. I would definitely work with Palazzo again on a reno project. I spent a bit more than I wanted to, but it was important to me to have lasting quality that we could enjoy for years to come, and which would add value to our home. I think Palazzo achieved that for me. They are very busy, so be prepared for a wait for your project to begin, but once they started they had workers there every day until completion, which is not always the case with every contractor, as some of my friends and family can attest.

Based on all the 5 star reviews my wife went to check out showroom. She saw 3 sales people behind their computer screens that looked up at her but not one asked her if she needed any help or at least«I’ll be with you as soon as I’m done here.» She took some pix and then left. I’m hoping that is the exception and not the rule but I see others have provided similar reviews with«lack of attention» when in the showroom area. it was disappointing to not even have anyone ask if she had any questions.

Palazzo just completed the third job in our home. The latest was our master bathroom. We could not be more happy with the results, the room is beautiful. Palazzo is not the least expensive option, and probably not the fastest. So if you’re looking for an inexpensive, speedy contractor, Palazzo may not be right for you. What they do is quality work at a fair price, executed by some true craftsman. Jorge, the tile guy was fabulous. Kiersti, the designer, was with us all the way. Helping us choose materials, suggesting design and layout, scheduling workers, and following up on any questions and changes we had as work progressed. Arturo, the project manager, made sure everything was done properly; and Felipe, the owner, visited our home on several occasions to ensure we were happy. Highly recommend.

I was very happy with my guest bathroom remodel. The job included demo-ing down to the studs, replacing a window, changing pipes, repairing dry rot, replacing the sub-floor and shower pan, and installing all new everything. I worked with Jerry, Bruce, Jorge, and Arturo — all very reliable and hard working. I obtained several estimates for the job, and Palazzo was the most reasonable. I like that they have a showroom where you can actually look at tile, vanities, etc. I ordered some tile from Palazzo, and the rest from a place in Berkeley — Jerry ordered the tile and picked it up from the outside vendor which I appreciated. Bruce always showed up on time, worked very hard, and gave excellent suggestions. He always cleaned up thoroughly each day. I trusted everyone in the house even when I was not home. Over 1 month after completion, the toilet was not working properly. Jerry and Bruce made several attempts to repair it, and when Jerry realized that the toilet was defective, he promptly ordered a new one which was installed by Arturo. Since then, it has been working fine. The bathroom looks so beautiful. We have received numerous compliments and even prefer to use that bathroom ourselves! I would highly recommend Palazzo and would use them again for future remodels.

Redoing my kitchen and Palazzo was my first stop for New slab counters. After waiting for a half hour with No acknowledgement from any of the staff, we decided they didn’t need our business, and left.

I decided to give this company another shot. Evidently there was confusion over who was going to be running an estimate for my home remodel. Each person thought they were doing my quote and I never received it. The company is reviewed highly and Odie was very professional when I first met him so I was disappointed when I didn’t receive a quote. After running in to several bad contractors I decided to give Palazzo another shot. I had Odie come out to look at a bathroom that was done poorly. Odie showed up on time, was professional and he provided me a quote within three days of looking at my bathroom. I would feel comfortable using this company to do my bathroom. Excellent customer service !!!

my wife and I looked for over a year to find business that would remodel our kitchen. one that would do a design that met my wife’s vision, take complete charge of the project without doing any sub contracting or sending us elsewhere for part of the project, do a good job and at a fair price. In our search we found only one place that we felt could do this; Palazzo. We worked with Kiersti, she is a very good designer and listened to what my wife wanted. Plazzo did an outstanding job and my wife is very happy. the price we paid was not the cheapest and not the most expensive but for what we got the price was very fair. we would recommend them to anyone.

Our Kitchen sink had a 30 inch by 3 inch strip of green granite in the front that had come loose. I thought about fixing it myself, which would have been a huge mistake. Palazzo sent out Ezekiel on a service call. He was thorough and diligent. He covered all nearby areas; cleaned and prepped the surfaces; used shims to make sure the joints were flush, and then used two types of glue to set the granite strip in place. One glue was white and only beneath the granite. Ezekiel used pigments in the other glue to match the green in the granite. He even went so far as to shade the glue a little darker on one side then the other to match the changing color of the granite. I could never have done the job the Ezekiel did. He is very experienced, and, more than that, he cares about doing high-quality work. He spent two-hours and the price was $ 245, which seemed more than reasonable for his time and effort.

We never received an estimate. I guess the job was too small or too hard. We needed help to install a bathtub. They did send someone to my house and the person was really nice and said they will have an estimate for me the same day. It’s been 3 weeks and I still do not have an estimate. They never responded to my emails. If you do not want to help me install my bathtub, just let me know. And i will move on to the next contractor.

We went back and forth about a bathroom remodel over the course of a year. Palazzo’s quote was on the high end but not outrageous compared to other bids. They have a nice showroom but I found some options were lacking(like vanity tops). What irked me the most was their lack of interest in our business. Each time we went back to them for a question, they answered it, but never followed up and never seemed to care if they got our business(or find out why in the end they didn’t). Maybe they are doing so well they don’t need more clients but when spending so much on a home project, I want to feel like I’m a priority.

Recently purchased an old fixer upper house in Lafayette a few years ago and needed to update the 40+ year old kitchen. After meeting with different kitchen supply companies we decided to use Palazzo for our cabinetry, kitchen countertops and flooring. They have a very nice showroom and have quality materials at fair prices. We worked with Odie, Paolo and Felipe and they provided great service. I appreciate them answering my questions timely and anytime we had an issue they fixed the problem asap.

Kiersti is absolutely wonderful. She knows so much about design and is extremely friendly and willing to help you out with anything. She informs and recommends without being pushy in any way. She let me take my tile samples home for both my bathroom and my kitchen so that I could see everything with my own lighting, and was just an all around pleasure to work with. One of the things that I absolutely LOVE about this store is that there are prices on everything when you walk around– you don’t have to take every single item to the front and have them check the price on each one, like the place down the street from here. The tile selection is large, and the prices are reasonable. I will continue to shop here, and will recommend Palazzo to all of my friends who are buying houses and renovating.

We actually hired Palazzo Kitchens & Baths from reading Unilocal reviews. I am not one to post here and have done so only one other time… Palazzo’s did the most PHENOMENAL job installing new granite, replacing appliances, new plumbing etc… in our very large kitchen and butler pantry. We also had enough granite out of our 5 slabs to redo an upstairs bathroom vanity. Felipe and his entire staff were professional, on time, and left our home very, very clean. Felipe communicated every step of the way, which is a rarity with most contractors. We look forward to working with Felipe again next year when we tackle our master bathroom remodel. Can’t wait!!! Thanks again, Felipe… Terry & Rene Fairfield, CA

We just finished remodeling two bathrooms with Palazzo. Odie and Felipe were truly amazing and great leaders. I was so impressed with their responsiveness, follow-up, and attention to detail. George is incredibly talented at tile work and Wesley is very skilled all around. All were a pleasure to work with — professional and kind. I love my two new bathrooms and can’t wait to start another project with Palazzo.

I couldn’t land on HGTV’s «I Hate My Bath» so had to remodel the old-fashioned way by calling contractors. Felipe was the 5th(fellow Unilocalers didn’t lead me astray!) and only one who recommended for inspiration. It was a stress-free renovation since I mixed and matched everything at the one-stop showroom which has superior quality materials. Felipe also offered design suggestions which were spot on. His team was professional, punctual and cleaned up everyday. As an attorney, I have high standards which were fully met by Palazzo. We LOVE our«casual luxury» master bath!!!

Two months ago, my husband and I started a kitchen renovation with Marius construction. It was a modest kitchen make-over: replacing appliances, giving it a face lift(just painting existing cabinets), but also knocking down part of a wall to open up the kitchen/dining room and adding a Carrera marble counter. The counter was still to be chosen when we began, but I stumbled into Palazzo while waiting for the play space, «Studio Grow» to open so my son could burn off some energy one Saturday morning. We had decided almost everything would be purchased from HomeDepot because we had to use scrip from my son’s school, but I thought it would be worth wandering around the Palazzo showroom. Immediately, Jennifer helped us and described the difference between pre-fab counters and customer using raw slabs. She was knowledgeable and nice and the price seemed reasonable. With the help of my architect brother, we decided to buy a raw slab and worked with our contractor, Marius to do the installation. Throughout the process, both Jennifer and especially Felipe were wonderfully helpful. There were a couple of surprises which I attribute to having too many cooks in the kitchen(me, contractor, brother, etc.) and there was a major delay with the arrival of the sink which I had purchased online. BUT, Felipe worked through it all and coordinated with Marius’ team to solve the problems. Felipe’s team doesn’t have the best communication, but they were quick, fairly tidy and did a good job(not that I am an expert but I DO love my carrera counter! Our kitchen is absolutely stunning, spacious, homey and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Palazzo!
