Paintmasters

After interviewing a few painting contractors I hired Paintmasters to paint my kitchen cabinets. They gave a low bid (but brace yourself, painting kitchen cabinets correctly is pretty expensive), which was beaten only by an unlicensed contractor, so I went with Paintmasters who is properly licensed. They did a fantastic job. The cabinets look brand new and my entire kitchen has been transformed. While I care a lot more about the quality of the work and the price than how «nice» a contractor is, I have to say that Mac and his crew (Jess?- I’m bad with names) were professional but also friendly. They take a lot of pride in their work and it shows

Delighted with the price and result! The job involved painting cabinets for multiple bathrooms. Mac was prompt and professional, giving us the pros and cons of all options (finishes, spraying vs brushing etc). The price was great! The work done by Eddie (takedown and hardware removal) and Jeff (baseboard and facing painting) were equally professional and excellent. Could not be more satisfied with the process and a beautiful result! Will use them again for other jobs!

We live in Danville, CA and have a significant size home (5000 sq/​ft). We embarked on a huge refresh/​remodel project. Aside from refinishing the entire homes hardwood floors we painted and refinished (painted) our existing maple cabinets to update. i solicited bids from several companies. I was immediately impressed with Mac, the project coordinator that came out to asses the job. Not only was he knowledgeable but asked great questions, opened my eyes to things I had not considered and was very nice. After reviewing all the bids we selected Paintmasters and are thrilled we did!
They were on time, on schedule, on budget! Amazing! In addition, the crew was extremely experienced, very nice to work with and just seemed happy to be doing what they were doing. A great sign that they take pride in their work and are part of a company that values them.
It was critical that they do this massive job and be done on time as the floor people were coming in right behind them. There was NO room for extra time! It required that they do some finishing on Saturday and even a little on a Sunday. (I felt horrible but there wasn’t a choice. The guys were super nice about it, not like we were infringing on their personal time).
Upon completion, Mac and I walked through the job and HE noticed a couple of items that needed a little touch up. They came back after the floors were finished and did them immediately.
I can not tell you enough how pleased we were with the professionalism, expertise, personalities of the guys on this crew! It was a pleasure to have them in our home. We will be doing the outside of our home this fall and I won’t even consider another company!

I wanted to post because I felt strongly about saying that Paintmasters was perfect for us. They were extremely professional, responsive and jumped on a job that needed a quick turnaround. Our realtor was more than impressed with the crew, and the finished work looked perfect. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again when needed.

I first started working with David at Paintmasters just after I started as maintenance manager at a very high-​end condominium complex in the Oakland hills. The residents were very demanding and particular about their homes and their schedules. For all jobs, both painting and drywall, Paintmasters was always on time and very professional. They meticulously prepared so as not to leave behind any dust or mess. When they were finished, I honestly could not see any indication of where they had been or what they had fixed. All paint and textures matched perfectly, every single time, and I am a contractor that has worked with sheetrock and drywall for many years.
In addition, their pricing is very competitive and fair. Not only do I recommend Paintmasters for residential work, they are excellent for large commercial projects as well. Of all the painting contractors with whom I have worked over the years, they are hands down the best. They guarantee their work, but I never needed it. You really can’t do better than Paintmasters.

During the replacement of our heating furnace, the contractors accidentally damage our ceiling and resulted in a hole. The heating company called Paintmasters to repair the ceiling. Antonio came out with another person to drywall the ceiling and retexture the ceiling. They were clean and quick! The whole job took only 1 hour and everything was covered to avoid any mess. Extremely professional. I would consider hiring them for future jobs.
