Wanted to try this place for a while, so I played it safe and ordered the Satay Chicken, and the Summer Rolls. Super fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared, decent sized servings and delicious. I will definitely be returning for a more adventurous order. Don’t be fooled by the location, it is a little small but very clean and cozy.

I order thr Tum Yum mixed seafood soup, very good but very hot, next time I will request medium on the heat. I have traveled to Thailand several times and the soup taste like I was back in Thailand.

Ok, so I have lived near this place for a super long time and I always thought it was sketchy because of its location. You know what they say, never judge a book by its cover, because when I ordered the basil chicken with bell pepper, carrots, and other yummy things, my mind totally changed. I will definately come back here, since this place is within a walking distance of my house, it makes it easy to pop over here for a nice dinner or even just a snack. Do come here if you live nearby, its totally worth it. It might look bad by its location, but once you order the food its very good.

It’s more of a hole in the wall. The exterior of it would make you think it isn’t a good restaurant but it’s pretty cozy. The place is small so trying to keep a conversation private isn’t right at this place. People will hear you and you will hear people. Try to sit in the BOOTHAREA because it’s the most comfortable place to be in within the restaurant. The food? Takes pretty long to get to. I always order the dancing prawns which is just 4 pieces on a stick stabbed into a tomato. You’d think its not filling but order some rice with it and drink some water, it’s really stuffing. Always get the Thai ice tea, it’s so yum and they add a very pretty extra piece to it. The staff is really sweet and kind.

Small and cute little Thai restaurant in the corner of a plaza. Service was friendly and respectful. Gave us lemons for our water when we asked. Food come out REALLY fast, within 5 minutes or so for my table of 4. Thai tea was a bit too sweet for me, but super huge serving for $ 2.50! Comes in a huge glass with a straw that has a rose, super cute. The Pad Thai was AMAZING! Flavorful and flavors hits your palate like crazyyyy. House fried rice was bomb too, definitely cannot go wrong with that one! First time here and I can say I’ll be coming back to try their other delicious dishes!

Our absolute favorite in Concord. We’ve tried many! Our favorites are the Eggplant Basil Chicken w mild spice and Green Curry and their Pad Thai. I’ve had so many other of their dishes, but we always have such good service, mostly takeout these days with our 17 month old, but we dated there quite a bit prior to marriage and baby! They are always so friendly, fast and the food always exceeds are expectations. I’ve been going here for almost five years now! I can’t believe I haven’t written a review! I can’t tell you how many times I went here while pregnant, it was the #1 food I craved and my baby is healthy as ever and it even helped me go into labor when I was 10 days late, I asked for VERYSPICY! Even the two nights of Preggo Pizza didn’t work a week before! Haaaa! I had an all natural labor too, thanks for the good food in one of the most important and painful times of my life! Okay, that’s pretty random. But my point is this is a great Thai place. I’ve been to so many in SF too and this one still is one of our favorite thank god it’s so close to our house! I’m trying not to eat out for a while for health and saving money, but I can’t wait to come back soon!!!

This review is for the customer service. My Dad wanted soup to go and he shows me the item he wants! Go in and order the small which in the photo is $ 5.95! Only to be told there is no small and its $ 9.99! Even when I show the photo still told they cannot do small!

This place is part of a small strip of random businesses but I really enjoyed the food. The bbq chicken is awesome and so are the crab wontons. We got here late and they still served us with patience. Will definitely be back.

We LOVE the Mai Thai Restaurant. A friend introduced me to it at a birthday lunch and ever since we have been regulars! Delicious appetizers(try the crab Rangoon) awesome curries, noodles, fresh seafood– everything. And oh by the way– try the bananas and(coconut) ice cream dessert.

I have never been disappointed at this resturant. If you like spicey, they can definitely satisfy your need for fire, which my husband and I are always searching for. They have amazing spicey chicken appetizers, curries, and noodles. The thai tea is always good too! Definitely hit this place up. The location looks a little sketch, but its totally fine and the resturant is amazing with nice staff.

We always enjoyed the food and service at this place. Tonight was a big disappointment. We ordered grilled pork chop. We followed up with the server after 30 minutes. As we were waiting for our order, the other server served the grilled pork chop to the table next to us. I heard the other table bbq beef. They started cutting the pork chop & putting them on their plates. The servers realized that the wrong order was given to the other family and brought them their bbq beef, customers put back the pork chop from their plates & took back the pork chop to kitchen. Server came back with same plate of cut up pork chop & asked us if we would take it since they did not eat it. What!!! Are you kidding me? May be they thought we are Asians and we will not complain.

Mai Thai is a great neighborhood Thai joint. They are located in a not-too-attractive strip mall, but do not turn up your nose because of this. Once you step into the restaurant, the staff are warm and welcoming that you would immediately forget about their location’s lack of warmth quickly. It is small and intimate inside, and the place really makes for a cozy dining experience. We ordered the drunk noodle, pineapple fried rice, and panang curry. All were very delicious and more than filling! The drunk noodle had a great spice level, but I am sure they would be happy to make spice adjustments as per request. The pineapple fried rice was slightly tart and slightly sweet, and it makes for a great company for spicier food. The panang curry was also very flavorful. The only caveats are the longer wait time and the price point. Mind, the wait is truly worth it since the food that come out of their kitchen are delicious, and the price is justified since this is quality food. If you are watching the budget, though, they have a reasonable lunch menu during the weekday. Mai Thai is now one of our favorite local joints, and they are now on out top 5 go-tos. If you are in the area and looking for some decent Thai food, you should definitely give them a try!

Always a great experience here! Food is incredibly delicious, décor is lovely, wish they had Buddha lounge music playing rather than top 10. I mean good music but not for setting. Staff is always very kind and courteous and have great personalities!

Food was fantastic and the servers were nice but the only complaint was the food took a long time to come out. During peak periods I guess the kitchen gets backed up a bit. Parking was plentiful and there was no wait for seating when we came for dinner service.

It had been a while since I’d been to a Thai restaurant — local options in the Clayton Valley area seemed limited to the Bronze Buddha, which we found disappointing. But for some reason I had overlooked Mai Thai 2, which finally caught my attention on a «nearby» Unilocal search. Of course Mai Thai 2 is easy to overlook. It’s in one of those slapdash, small shopping areas with only three or four stores. It has an unassuming corner location and an unbecoming look to it. Just passing by, it would not catch my eye, or tempt me to enter. Looks can be deceiving. Inside it is pleasantly decorated and appealing. Obviously it has a good local following, as a Friday found the restaurant bustling with customers, both eating in and getting to-go. My wife and I both had the Chicken Pad Thai. Quite delicious, and the portion size was huge — we took the leftovers home and it made for a complete second meal! We also had lemonade, and this lemonade had a distinctive taste, maybe a subtle taste of tamarind or something similar. I’m impressed when you can make something unique out of lemonade. Not blessed with a huge interior, the restaurant makes the most of it with tables that are aligned somewhat close to each other. Not offputting, but conversation about your embarrassing medical condition may be out of place here! Dinner for two came to under $ 30. We shall return!

Probably the best Thai food in all of Concord. No joke. A little hole in the wall place, I didn’t even know existed, but so glad I found it. Atmosphere is cute and quaint, service is attentive and friendly, food is amazeballs. We got the tofu pad thai — this was bomb, first time doing pad thai without any meat in it, and I still loved it, maybe loved it more than if it had meat in it. I went with the massam peanut curry w/beef — would’ve liked it to have a little more thickness to it, and a little more spice, but it was divine none the less — it took me a while to realize the large chunks in the curry were boiled peanuts. garlic vegetables w/basil was delicious as well, nice and spicy, and the veggies were cooked just right. this shouldn’t excite me, but their thai iced tea came in a huge glass! not one of those little measly glasses that’s gone in 3 big sips. all in all, this may just be my new go to place for thai.

Came here today for lunch with baby, and they were very accommodating! Hostess /waitress was SUPER sweet, and she brought out a child’s theme plastic plate, which he ended up playing with rather than eating off of… but it kept him entertained. She also played a little peek-a-boo with him from behind the kitchen curtain; he really got a kick out of that, haha! She served us both small complimentary salads with a yummy peanuty dressing that baby just loved! We ordered the bbq beef, bbq chicken, & drunken noodles(spicy). Everything came out hot n fresh, arrived quickly, and tasted awesome! Baby was grubbin’ on their bbq beef(sweet) and steamed rice. We had a ton of leftovers since they do not skimp on portions! definitely bringing hubby back with me next time :)

I had lunch here today. The atmosphere is cozy, however seating is somewhat limited. I can see the place filling up quickly, depending on the time you decide to eat. I ordered the pumpkin curry with chicken. It was delicious! Just the right amount of spicy for me. I also had a Thai iced tea, which was a tasty compliment to my dish. My only complaint, and this is minor, is that I wasn’t given a napkin. This messy girl needs her napkin! I will definitely go back to try other dishes.
