Hanabi Sushi

Good sushi and a nice staff. It’s not over-​the-​top fancy if you’re just looking for some good sushi for lunch. Thumbs up!

Love the combo that comes with mixed Nigiri and Tekka Maki. Everything is always so fresh. The bento combinations are great too. The gyoza are so flavorful and crunchy! So glad to have found this place.

Got my to go order wrong again! It’s almost expected. I ordered their salmon bento box and the salmon was really dry and very gross. I didn’t even bother to call because last time I called to complain about the food they asked for it back. It really is a hit-​or-​miss in that place they must have somebody who’s really good and somebody who is really bad as a cook.

If there were zero stars that’s exactly what these rude individuals would be getting from me… no type of greeting and I’m standing in line trying to order take out for 12 minutes she keeps coming passed me and doesn’t even acknowledge me until I tell her. MEDIOCRE FOOD and service even worse… never going back or recommending this toilet for a restaurant

Saw this sushi place while I was waiting in the long ass drive-​thru line at Starbucks, so I decided to make it my Good Friday lunch date.
I enjoyed my lunch, it was fast, and I was very impressed. The only thing I was disappointed with was the fact that there was barely any avocado in my California roll. I thought the ratio was supposed to be close to ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ crab to avocado. I got something more like ⁹⁰⁄₁₀. But overall, good experience. My husband and I are always looking for new sushi places, as we have been to Nama Sushi in WC and PH, Honda’s in PH, and Happy Roll in Concord.
It was a little warm and muggy in the restaurant, so I’m not sure if they have A/​C. I got my two rolls within 5 minutes of ordering them, and I was there around 1:00pm, lunch time. Service was good, no complaints. The pricing seemed very reasonable comparatively. I always want a dragon roll but don’t want to spend $ 15 on it like the other places mentioned. I got a dragon roll, CA roll, and a Dr. Pepper for $ 16 and some change.
Seems to be a popular place as the restaurant was mostly full when I got there. They did a lot of to-​go orders while I was sitting there, so I thought that was cool since I have a baby, and those things come in handy. Good place, I recommend it.

I had to write a review since our visit to Hanabi was superb! We decided to go spontaneously and I can’t wait to go back.
We took advantage of a Sat/​Sun deal with two rolls to share for $ 16 and were able to try conventional and fried sushi rolls comprised of fresh ingredients and served quickly (Try the TNT rolls) $ 3 Sapporo on tap to wash it all down– we enjoyed it so much that we ordered a Bridge roll that was listed as a $ 6 special. Everything was delicious!
Our server was really nice and checked on us to ensure we were well taken care of. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot, these 1 star reviews are way off the mark!

We went back and the service was much better. I think they had a bad day on our first visit. The food was very good as usual.

I wish this place delivered! I haven’t had the sushi yet, but the bento box is pretty great. I have only ordered togo, but for now its one of my favorite options close to home.

Don’t get me wrong, good food, good service, good prices, but, they use MSG (I can tell because I’m allergic) and I really wish that if you used MSG you’d at least post it.

I had no idea this sushi place was here! Very close to the north concord bart station, you’ll find yourself in a plaza with a Starbucks to your left to start your morning commute and Hanabi to the right to get after you come back from work for dinner.
I came here around 3:30pm on a Sunday afternoon and their dinner menu already started. I normally fear dinner prices at japanese restaurants, but here isn’t so bad. A deluxe bento box will get you your choice of meat/​cooked fish, a serving of white sushi rice, either potstickers/​sashimi/​nigiri, a raw salad, a cooked salad, mixed tempura, 6 piece california roll, orange slices, and of course your starters (miso soup and salad) for just $ 14.95. That’s A LOT of food, guys. For what seems to be the cheapest dinner bento I have ever come across.
I didn’t order this however. They also have a promo going for 2 select rolls for $ 16 — that’s what I chose to do. I ordered the R&B with the Dynamite. R&B had tempura shrimp with crab inside and avocado and shrimp on the outside ~ a basic roll, but oddly satisfying. (I normally like to order rolls with a variety of raw fish). And the dynamite was tuna inside and seaweed salad and sriracha on top. Refreshing.
This also seems like a popular place for surrounding businesses to come to for lunch! Quick, affordable, and good quality.

Sat here for 10 minutes with my menu closed and they just stood around and never came to take my order. Not busy, the waitress was just standing there picking her nails.

This is the nastiest shite I have ever eaten. First of all, if I pay $ 30 for some mother-​lovin’ rolls and sashimi, that ish better be fresh and plentiful. Not only were the «tuna rolls» rice rolls with a pen dot of tuna buried in the middle, but the sashimi wasn’t even cold. WTH is going on here guys??? I called my order in and arrived within the 15 minute window they gave me, drove home in 3 minutes and opened the container and got rice rolls and room temp sashimi. Really?
I wasn’t about to drag my 2 year old out of the house again to go get my hard earned money back, so we picked apart the rolls, ate the rice and seaweed, tossed the rest and I ended up cooking dinner. Ain’t that somethin’?
I’ll only return to them if they are the last restaurant standing when the zombie apocalypse hits!

Walked in sat down and walked right on out. The woman in the dinning room did not greet me (which I was OK with) but when I asked her a question she didn’t even stop to look at me when she answered. My husband and I were the ONLY ones there. I guess walking to the other side and wiping a table was more important in an empty room than helping me.

Always satisfied with Hanabi. I see people complaining about the service but I’ve never had any issue. The food is good and it’s prices reasonably. Quit whining about being «disrespected» and enjoy your food!

Great food always! I go to the port Chicago location and staff knows me they always are friendly not to mention the good is fresh and yummy!

Still haven’t found a sushi place that can top this one, if there is one better than this within a 10 mile radius, please let me know.
Good sushi, pretty quick in terms of delivery and the ordering. They also offer a wide variety of sushi as well. Totes recommend.

We ordered on the phone as we were driving to the place. By the time we got there the food was on a table waiting for us! The food was good and the place looked clean. I believe they are related to the same named one in Martinez, which has also been good. Definitely a solid sushi place in the east bay.

My go to sushi place.
Affordable prices. Consistent food. My personal favorite are the highway roll and their bbq beef that comes in a bento box.

Shame on you for being closed on Easter! Lol I love you Hanabi but I was forced to try «I love Teriyaki & Sushi» and it was horrible :(
