Englund’s Cafe & Catering

We had Englunds cater our wedding. Derry is wonderful (you’ve got to be a little self starting because he’s a busy man but he follows through on his word). They helped me through everything and answered all my questions. The food was delicious! A lot of our guests said it was the best they’ve had at a wedding.
They even made a special plate for our TWO (of 100) vegan guests which was so cool because our friends said they didn’t even expect to eat because no one ever provides something for them when they usually go to weddings. So that stood out. A friend recommended them to be because they did her wedding and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone else.

This place is consistently good. I have a new favorite, and it’s the Chinese Chicken Salad! i love all the employees who work there as well. The woman working the cashier, Monica, is super nice! Everyone is really professional and they are open to fitting your orders to the way YOU like them. Love how it’s a staff of women working their bootys off to serve great food.
Keep it up ladies!

You don’t know what you’re missing never disappoints

Went for lunch. Got what everyone recommeded (tri tip sandwich). It was a lot of tri tip but for me it lacked the tenderness and a bit of flavor. This is totally a mans place if you want quantity over quality. I would have rated it 3.5 stars. Service was quick and friendly. So for all you men wanting a huge sandwich, this is your place!

Englunds catered my wedding on Jan. 29^th.
They’re amazing! Derry has been around the block he thinks of all the stuff you don’t. He’s very thorough and doesn’t place any pressure on you.
We began doing our food tasting, it was a total of 6 of us. We ate a full meal and it was wonderful. We looked and linens and he explained all their services. All the info online is right on the money with what they talk about. After we ate and chit chatted we were so on board to book them.
We placed our deposit and got started on what my vision was. He was very accommodating and full of ideas.
He came to looked at my venue and he drew out a map so he knew how I wanted everything. We went through all the possible issues that could arise especially the weather.
The day of he came 4 hours before my wedding reception to sent up tables and place all the linens on the tables. Him and his staff returned a few hours later with the food. The food was even better than when we tasted it.
My guest raved about how yummy it was.
They served my husband and I and sat us at our head table and even got us beverages (it was buffet style).
Everyone was served within about 20min and I had almost 140 guest.
The staff was super friendly!
They also cut my cake.
Even better they made us a goodie bag for us to take with us! A great gesture. We ate it later that night.
So recap — they’re amazing! They’re very professional and knowledgeable. I would use then again for any other event we had hands down.

Really enjoyed their tri-​tip sandwich for lunch! Lots of meat and good quality. The grills are outside and the kingston charcoal bags legitimize this place for me. Will definitely be back. The place is small so be prepared to eat outside.

Over the last several years, I have hired Englund’s to do both outdoor BBQs as well as indoor dinners for multiple organizations. Without fail, their food, presentation, staff have been outstanding! And, they have been able to serve 300 in under 25 minutes and with a smile!
The crews have varied over time but are always friendly, efficient, accommodating. I love working with Derry and his teams because I know once I reserve them for an event, I simply do not have to worry about the food/​service at all! They are professional to the max and the food always gets rave reviews from all.
Lunch at the café is always a treat, too, You just can’t go wrong with Englund’s.

I used to work down the street from Englunds. They make a great sandwich!

My job always orders food from here for events and meetings. The last thing I had was a really dry and unseasoned chicken breast sandwich. I want to be able to give all 5’s so maybe I just need to go on my own time instead of just basing my review off of what my job preorders.

This is a really cool spot to go to for lunch, they serve a tri tip sandwich which is very good and a tri tip salad which is huge in its portion size.
It is a catering company primarily and can be a little tricky to find. The only thing is that it can get a little pricy for lunch items.

I work right next door to Englunds so that is the only reason I know about this place. And let me tell you I love it. Their fresh salads and sandwiches are just perfect if you looking for a nice place to eat as opposed to eating junk food for lunch. It does get packed quickly but you can place orders over the phone and pick up when you get there.
In the winter they have soups and let me tell you they definitely hit the spot!
The owners of this place are so nice and generous and they have the best customer service ever. I was feeling very under the weather and had one of their soups and it picked me right up! And after talking to the cashier and thanking her for the soup she gave me one for the road so I could feel better. I just have to say these people know great customer service!

I gave 5 starts strictly for that trip tip sand which. It’s great! I’m looking forward to trying more of there food, but every time I go, I end up with the tri tip.

I love love love the pork loin. Its amazing how juicy the meat is. Tri tip is a favorite too. Chicken salad sandwich was my first fave with lots of chicken and cranberries. Very consistently delicious. I always order whatever the daily special is and it never disappoints.

I’ve been eating here every week (1 – 3 times) for the last year. Each experience never leaves me shaking my head or feeling hungry. The servings are more than generous, the staff is always nice, and the quality is consistent.
I highly recommend everything on the menu! You will not regret it.

Very good tri/​ball tip sandwich. It is packed with meat and great taste. The staff was friendly and had fast service. The cons: sand. + chips & soda was 12+ bucks. Limited open times. The pros: I will eat here again. It was that good.

Darry @ Englund’s catering is so friendly and their prices are great! Every year my work hires them to cater our luncheons and every time the food is the same! Chicken is very moist and their tri tip. omg their tri tip!!! Definitely will hire them for my Wedding! C’est Magnifique!

I had the tri — tip sandwich. Next time I will order half. The portion size is very generous. I will also ask for the end cut of the tri-​tip nexy time because I got the blood red part of the meat. I dont like meat dripping with blood.
The people are very friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

Decent sandwiches and salads.
This place gets PACKED for lunch, so TIP: call in your order and you can go straight to the counter to pay/​pick-​up to avoid the lines.
Food is good, service is consistently GREAT, prices are decent.

I think that this place is deserving of 4.5 stars… docking down for the mediocre, store bought tasting potato salad. It wasn’t terrible, but I’ve had better.
Otherwise, the tri-​tip sandwich I got was fantastic! More meat on a sandwich than I’ve seen in a long time. Service behind the counter was fast and courteous too.
I just wish the café was open longer than 4 hours!

We occasionally treated to catered Lunch at work. There are a variety of sandwich places and other cafes that will deliver to the Plant, and it’s usually off the same list. I’m not complaining as free food is free food, especially when there’s sometimes leftovers to take home.
Several months ago, a new Site Manager came on board. Ch-​ch-​ch-​ch-​Changes!
One of those was being introduced one of her favorite lunch places. One day she brought in hot tri-​tip and chicken sandwiches, and they were delicious. Where have you been all my Lunch life Englund’s?
