Dairy Queen

I like Dairy Queen. Grew up a short walking distance to one in Antioch. Tried the one on Clayton RD in Concord — chili dog and milkshake. Paid for it and waiting over 10 minutes after chili dg was ready. And waited. And waited. Chili dog was ready, shake not even started. Threw the chili dog away, told them to not bother with the shake. The manager, older guy, had be bull sh*ting with one of his suppliers on personal matters. Will never go back to THIS Dairy Queen.

The reviews are accurate. TERRIBLE SERVICE. they stop in the middle of an order to «chat» with one another. Then they flip attitude when I asked them to finish our transaction first.
There is no consistency in how things are made. One group does things one way and others have a completely different way.
They get one star because 0 is not an option. We wanted to like the place but it has gone so far downhill that we have to stop patronizing this store.
Baskin Robbins is farther away but at least we get service without attitude.
Avoid this place at all cost. Go to food max and buy ice cream. Less headache more flavor better service

Came to know that this place is under new management. Can visibly see the changes and they are good. The place is cleaner, staff are friendlier and care about the customers.

Great Service and easy to find. Plenty of Parking as it’s part of a shopping center! I came here to get my birthday BOGO. The woman who helped me with really nice and friendly, she was super patient too!
I really appreciated her suggestions, but I have to go for affordability for me. I haven’t consumed my ice cream blizzard yet. But I know DQ has great ice cream desserts, so I can’t go wrong with the blends I chose!

I’ve been here twice. The first time was incredibly slow. All the employees seemed very unorganized. My order was wrong and I was charged incorrectly as well. I went in last week and there was a line of about five people. After 10 minutes they managed to take 1 order and serve one customer, who complained about his order not being correct. I left as did the couple in front of me. I love DQ but won’t come back to this location.

This place is a train wreck. Great cones etc. However, getting them is the problem. The machines are always down so no ice cream. A few staff here are competent but the rest are lost. This place needs a good manager and the staff needs training.

Unfortunately we didn’t get blizzards because the line was moving super slow, they were out of my flavor, and they were making a mess with the chocolate dip… also the freezer had the frozen potatoes visible… there neon signs were off… very poor management and service

This place is ridiculously slow. I see be faces on other customers, no one is happy here. People not getting what they ordered. Getting handed VERY MESSY dipped chocolate cones. And people walking out because the line is stupid long and they don’t want to wait.
I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I always have a soft spot for Dairy Queen and their blizzard. I always have a soft spot for this particular Dairy Queen since this is the only one near me.
This is a small place that has less than ten tables inside and some tables outside if one wanted to feel less confined. They can get specially crowded pretty quick on hot East Bay summers. While the wait is never on the short side on triple-​digit-​temp days, it is never too long of a wait, either. The staff competently gets the line moving. They are not the friendliest bunch but they are never sullen.
Until next time I have a craving for some blizzard!

Takes forever to get your order, 10+ minutes for ice cream. There were at least 3 people working and only 1 making the orders by herself. We won’t be back.

There is only one guy behind the counter taking and making orders. There is another guy sitting on the floor back there texting. I’m sure he’s on a break but he should probably get out of the other guys way. The line is nearly out the door and only one person. This is ridiculous. Service here sucks!!!

The girl working was the rudest young lady, constantly snapping at her co-​worker when he was simply attempting to help and correct her. Ordered my meal then had to wait in line for another 10 min because she forgot my blizzard. The whole reason I came in the first place.

The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because they have orange Julius and Dairy Queen! It took me 20 min to get my blizzard and it was half melted, not mixed through and chunks of banana I had to cut myself. I had hoped that over the past 6 years they would hire people who care about customers but it’s obvious it’s just the opposite. My daughter had her first blizzard and was totally turned off by them. One of my childhood fond memories has now been ruined for her :)l (

Long line of people waiting on a warm day, three people behind the counter and only one «working» at a very slow pace. There should really be someone over the age of 18 supervising this place– it’s very inefficient.

I went there with a friend hoping to get a couple of 5 dollar baskets, and ended up spending 16 dollars! And when I complained and asked to see a manager she said that he would be out here shortly, but never showed. The wait was also like 25 minutes, my friend was the only saving grace from tearing the establishment down. Will NOT be going back.

Walked into this location today hoping to get some ice cream. Sadly that did not happen. I walked in and no one was at the counter. So I waited while looked at the menu. 5 minutes later no one showed up to the counter. I started to say hello is anyone here. A teenager walked out doe the back and was on the phone. She looked at me continued to talk on the phone and walked away. At this point I was very confused and was about to leave when another worker walked up to the counter. She said,” I’m sorry but we are out of ice cream.” HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF ICE CREAM AT A PLACE THAT IS KNOWN FOR ICE CREAM!!! So I left unsatisfied, empty handed, and I wasted about 10 minutes waiting for nothing. Don’t expect me to ever come back to this location again!

Horrible service– the young teens there act like you’re bothering them– they laugh and talk to each other while you wait.
Takes 20 mins to get your food and then it’s cold.
The owner should consider teaching these kids something about service and courtesy.
We will not be coming back to this location.

Ice cream is always good. Blizzards are the best. Wouldn’t recommend ordering food though.
Always lines and pretty slow service. But worth the wait.

If you’re in dire need of ice cream, this place is ok. but be prepared to wait at LEAST 30 minutes. The line is always ridiculous. Even when it’s not ridiculous, there is maybe one person behind the counter trying to man the entire operation, and it takes foreeevvvveeeerrrr.
but blizzards are good, so there’s that :)

Dairy Queen is pricey for it’s food and dairy offering. this one has a $ 5 Buck Lunch.
eats: $ 5 Buck Lunch
–choose 3 piece strip chicken over chili dog.
fries and chicken had too much sodium, got an overload, dizziness
ranch dressing heavy with vinegar.
–soda and small sundae came with it.
good value but too much sugar, sodium

–cashier had to take orders and cook at same time.
most DQ seem to be like this.
